Guestbook comments from the manager

We were enchanted by this spotless and wonderful mountain cabin. We were serenely tucked into a forest grove, and loved seeing only the beautiful aspens and conifers from the huge windows with barely a glimpse of other neighbors. The best aspect for 3 couples was the fact that this cabin provides THREE luxurious king size beds: a great rarity for this kind of accommodation. We loved the true log construction and the sense of rustic peace as well. The cabin is nonetheless beautifully appointed and stocked with every amenity one could want including washer/dryer, all kinds of appliances, a great barbeque grill, and so much more. The Barretts even left fishing equipment, spices, games, and other amenities to make the stay even more enjoyable. We loved the "non-touristy" feel of Fairplay and found the South Park Museum experience fascinating and professionally presented. We had easy access to hiking in National Forests and great mountain scenery in nearby places not over-run with people. The property is a great value as well. It's been a pleasure in all respects. We'd love to come back!

Great home and location to get away!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin/home is in excellent condition, the setting in amongst the trees provides a very relaxing environment. The amenities provided are fantastic and everything you need is on hand, all we needed to bring were food and clothes. There was plenty of room for 6 adults. It was nice of the snow plow driver to clear out the drive way on two separate occasions as we had 20 plus inches of snow during our 2 day stay. The wood stove provided plenty of heat and really made the place comfortable. We saw a herd of about 75 elks just outside the gate. The home was clean and ready for our arrival. The property owners were very responsive to any questions we had before and after our stay. There are plenty of things to do on the property or should you chose to venture out to the towns nearby. Overall our experience was outstanding and many thanks to the property owners for sharing their home. We plan going to the cabin to do some fishing and hiking later this year.

Gorgeous and well kept cabin

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing stay in this gorgeous cabin. It's very spacious, well kept with all the amenities. Modern bathrooms and large rooms kept our family of four comfortable during our stay. Kitchen was large and well- equipped for our needs. Cabin is very clean. Kids enjoyed playing in the snow on the beautiful, well kept property. Lots of privacy! Owner Tara responds quickly and is helpful. We were close to Breckenridge and Frisco areas. We skiied and snowboarded at Copper Mountain about an hour away. We had a wonderful vacation in this picturesque cabin.

Winter Wonderland!

  • 5 of 5

2 day stay Jan 16-18. I must admit, we initially were a bit intimidated by the drive from Denver to the cabin, as the road to get us there was closed due to high winds, and we had to take an alternate route . Once we go to the cabin, we were amazed! Upgrades galore! Sparkling Clean!! If you're looking for a secluded modern cabin , that is still close enough to drive into town to enjoy the ski resorts and tourism...this is your place!. 3 King sized beds, plush towels and linen, awesome kitchen with tons of condiments, washer and dryer, cable, WIFI, house phone and much more. Tarra was a great host and was readily available for anything we needed. Received security deposit back 4 days after our stay. Kudos for such a warm welcome!

Beautiful, Quiet place to relax

  • 5 of 5

We have visited the cabin on several occasions now in both summer and winter months! The cabin is as beautiful as ever and every amenity that you would need. The cabin is so much like home and is very comfortable. We just love it every time we come up! This time the guys really wanted to fish but thought that they wouldn't be able to because of the ice and cold temperatures but found that several of the springs were not frozen and caught several fish! They were so excited and had a wonderful time! We all enjoyed the relaxation and spent short little day trips to Breckenridge and Mount Princeton Hot Springs! Thank you again for sharing your home with us! We be back again and again!
