Wonderful views and comfortable ambiance

  • 5 of 5

Spent a quiet, extended weekend with my wife. From the moment we entered we knew that we had made the right decision in selecting this property. The home is large and very comfortable and the views are just fabulous. Everything was spotless and the owners were very accommodating. Anything that a family might reasonable expect can be found there, including, including dishes, glassware, cooking utensils, etc. The Keurig was a pleasant, but welcomed surprise as were unexpected amenities like actual wine glasses. We were unable to spend much time outside as the "winds of November" were blowing, but the beach looks very nice and the sand looks soft and inviting. And, the deck would be an incredible place to spend time with more moderate weather. Easy to understand why this home is very popular with renters.

Our family stayed here for a long weekend. Location of property and size is awesome so much room, loved the deck especially the gazebo due to the rainy weather we had. Views from the house are great, nice layout and had everything you needed. Owners were very accommodating. Would go definitely back!

Beautiful views and perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for us. It is nicely spread out with 2 different sleeping areas and the open living room and huge deck provide an outlet for the early risers to have coffee without waking everyone else up. The beach and water are perfect for young kids as it stays shallow hundreds of feet out. No worry about undertow! Overall a great place and the owner was fantastic to work with!

FANTASTIC WEEKEND!

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed at this beautiful Port Austin home for a long weekend in June. We all LOVED it! The wrap-around deck was amazing. We saw a lightning storm off in the distance the first night we were there - it was spectacular! We all took walks down the beach and saw interesting rock formations - even a rock island that we all mentioned we'd like to kayak to and have a picnic there one day. A few of us went into Port Austin on Saturday to the Farmers Market - very enjoyable. Some family members went swimming - the lake was warm for the month of June.

My sister and I were lucky enough to see a 'family' of bald eagles ...we'll never forget that. Also, the sunsets were out of this world! When we needed the owners for a few questions, they were always very helpful.

We'll definitely book again in 2017!

Perfect Vacation House

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful home was a slice of heaven--perfect in every way! We were there with my kids and grandkids--6 adults and 2 two year olds and there was plenty of space. The house was equipped with everything we needed. The sunsets were amazing and we saw deer and a bald eagle on the beach. There was a perfectly placed bonfire pit overlooking the water. The shallow sandy water was perfect for the babies. We also had fun exploring Port Austin and even rented kayaks. We were able to kayak over to the beach house and use them all day. All in all, it was a great family vacation and we made wonderful memories!

Guys Getaway Weekend

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely perfect weekend from start to end. My group was about 10 people and had plenty of room for everyone. Beach was perfect and had a great view from the deck and gazebo in the back. Owner's were easy to get along and have great communications. Would consider coming back next year and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice up north getaway.
