Owner purchased this house in 2001
We hosted four generations of family members, most of whom were from out of state, others who live nearby and made day visits. The spacious accommodations and beautiful setting was perfect for comfortable catching up with family. The venue has marina, public golf, wineries and shopping nearby, though we really found ourselves drawn to remaining at the lakeside villa during our stay. It was most conveniently located near the Lakefront Wedding site where our daughter was married.
We rented the Lakeside Villa for our family vacation. There were 11 adults and 3 children, covering 4 generations of our family. The beautiful home was spacious and yet felt warm and inviting. The photos didn't do justice to the beautiful views of the lake from the many windows. The lovely covered porch on the main level became the meeting place for conversations, family game time and meals. My mother couldn't walk down the stairs often but could watch the family swimming below and enjoyed the view of Seneca lake.
We had never vacationed on this lake before but found the sandy beach perfect for the children. The warm, shallow water along the shore was perfect for the children to swim and play in and enticed everyone in for a swim.
The owner was warm and gracious and made everyone feel at home. We had her phone number and were told to call if we had any concerns.
The parking area was large and made it easy to store the boat trailers we had. It was easy to get in and out without moving others' vehicles.
The trains, which ran behind the home, went through sometimes twice daily and other days not at all. The kids loved going out to see them and most of the adults were right there with them. Even in the evenings, we really weren't bothered by the trains.
The location of The Villa was perfect. We were close to Geneva if we needed any type of store or restaurant. The golf course was just back behind Glass Factory Bay Road and the marina was just down the lake a short distance. Having city water and a sewer system made our stay that much more worry free.
Our family has vacationed on the Finger Lakes for 65 years and we were thrilled to find a home on the lake large enough so that we could continue our get togethers. We will be returning next summer to this lovely home.
We stayed at Julie's Lake House the weekend of October 20, 2011. There were four families for a total of 12 people staying in the area to attend our neices wedding. We decided to get a bigger place so we could relax for a few days and catch up with each other. We sure made the right decision. All 12 of us had beautiful, luxurious accomodations and room to spread out. The Lake House is a real jewel in the FInger Lakes region. We all enjoyed it so much we are trying to figure out a date that we can all get together again for a week next summer.
Upon arrival Julie met us and walked us through this beautiful home. It is even more pretty than the pictures. It is spotless, and had everything you could possible need and very well supplied. We had relatives over one evening and they were all envious of our nice accomodations.
The location was convenient to Geneva, the views were spectacular. We got a lot of use of the premisies for our short stay. We had a fire going one cool evening outside and in some of the numerous fireplaces. I am trying to think of something that was not good, and cannot think of anything. The booking process was easy and Julie a professional who loves what she does.
This is the place for families to enjoy together, it has private spaces to go to, it is large and well stocked. I highly recommend the Lake House. We have many wonderful memories from our stay there. The O'Connor Clan
Lakeside Villa is the perfect vacation house for a large group. There are 13 of us but there was plenty of room for all of us. Even though it is so large, the house has a very cozy and comfortable feel.
The train track that runs in front of the homes on Glass Factory Bay was a bit of a concern, but not to worry. We were never bothered by the few trains that went by and the grandkids (5 of them) loved watching them and waving to the engineers.
Both the children and the adults spent a good portion of each day in the water which was quite warm and surprisingly calm. The location of the house is convenient to everything.......marina, shopping, restaurants, wineries.
Sitting on the deck in the evening with a glass of wine watching night fall over the lake was my favorite part. We truly enjoyed our week here and are only sorry that the time went so quickly. Thank you Julie and family for being so accomodating and for sharing your lovely home with us.
The Lakeside Villa is beautiful, and has a relaxing atmosphere. The house had plenty of room for our party of 12. The inside and outside have areas where all 12 of use could come together comfortably.
The multiple livingrooms allowed for some private or quiet time. We enjoyed sitting out on the porches and patios during the day and in the evening. The view of the lake can be enjoyed from inside the house as well as on the porches and patios. The house is very close to the marina, shopping and restaurants. The owners make themselves available to you, if you have any issues with the house or are in the need of assistance, they genuinely want you to enjoy your stay.
We truly had a wonderful time and look forward to staying at the Lakeside Villa again.
Our daughter lives in Arizona but wanted to get married home in New York on May 20th. We decided on Geneva and after speaking with the owner, and viewing the house, (which was accurately described and pictured in the ad) chose Lakeside Villa as home base. As the wedding party and family and friends arrived throughout the week from all over the country, we enjoyed the days before and after the wedding here. There was enough sleeping room for 4 adults in our family, the bride and groom, the groom's parents, the best man, 2 more bridesmaids and 2 flower girls and plenty of room and parking to entertain 40 guests at a brunch the day after the wedding. It rained most of the week, but both decks are covered and the view over the water was beautiful (excepting the occasional fog). Every room facing the water has gorgeous windows. The villa is very accessible to restaurants and grocery stores, wineries and the pretty town. The sun shone on our beautiful bride, the wedding was perfect and this was home. Thanks to Julie and John Sullivan.
Lake is 700' deep and 3 miles wide by 37 miles in length. Many award-winning wineries nearby. Fifteen minutes to large shopping mall.
