This wonderful apartment with stunning hardwood floors is one of only two in the building. Up one flight of stairs with exposed brick walls, and into your 600 sq ft city getaway you enter a long hallway. To your right, the sparkling white bathroom (with combination shower/tub) and straight ahead your Queen- size, latex mattress awaits you (doctor recommended for bad backs). The apartment has a huge closet available for storing all your belongings. You can also relax enjoying the 36' flat screen HDTV and cable.
Not ready for bed? Then follow the long hall to the left into the sky-lit kitchen and spacious living room separated by a large, built-in chopping block bar with full counter. Perfect for meals you may wish to “eat in,' the kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots, and pans for the cooks among you. But why cook? Some of New York’s finest restaurants are in the neighborhood.
Only steps away is the Grand Szechuan, recently opened and acclaimed by New York Magazine as Best New Chinese Restaurant and for the best price too. And authentic to boot! Across the street is the famous St. Luke’s Place, listed in every guidebook as the Historic “must see” street in The Village. As day turns to night, the urban sounds of the city immerse you in the magic of the New York City experience.
You can rent a book from the Hudson Branch of the New York Library and enjoy it nearby in The James J. Walter Park. Adjacent is the Tony Dapolito Recreation Center which offers adult memberships at $35, seniors at $10, and 6-17 year olds are free.

Being in the middle of West Village, it is so easy to have a great time and enjoy the city life right out the door. You can literally become a New Yorker in minutes. I really hope you enjoy the apartment.
Again we chose this apartment in NY and really should just keep it to ourselves.... Everything as advertised, marvelous internet, super comfortable bed, best neighbourhood in the city, great people to deal with also.
We have stayed here 4 times and are very experienced NYC visitors. This was our first time in the winter. We have rented many places in NY within this price bracket and none come close .
Profession correspondance before during and after our stays, makes for a stress free time in NYC.
Yes you hear the subway, no big deal for us . Go visit......
A cozy place in the centre of West Village - for us definitely the best neighborhood to live in Manhattan. It's like a cool small village within the big city. Many restaurants, cafes, bars and parks in walking distance - we would'nt want to stay anywhere else.
Everything as shown in the pictures. You can feel the spirit of the owner Barbara (who must be a nice person), you feel a lot more at home as in any hotelroom. The bed ist fantastic - very comfortable! The bathroom a bit small but sufficient and economic (hot water all the time, many mirrors and space to put the toiletries). Aircon in living- and bedroom.
You really can't ignore the mentioned Subway. The whole place is shaking for a few seconds everytime a train passes below. But we got used to this after a short time and we found it more funny than annoying. At night we didn't notice it at all.
We didn't meet John as Luca happenend to be around - we had a great welcome and everything went perfect - thanks again.
We'll definitely return to this place !
We've stayed in other parts of NYC. Jersey City, UPW but West Village is the best and mainly because of this great condo. Perfect location. Luca and the team of people who run this condo are great. Very friendly and accommodating to your needs. We had a slight problem with the internet but Luca was very attentive and did everything to fix the problem as soon as possible.
Here's the skinny on the condo.
- It's quiet considering where it's located.
- The subway shakes the building but it's pretty cool to experience that.
- Kitchen has everything you need... although our fridge only held bottled water. It's NYC. Who cooks?
- Walking distance to Washington Square and SoHo.
- Subway stops to downtown and uptown are just a couple blocks away.
- Bed isn't the most comfortable. But with enough walking around the city you'll still sleep
- The skylight over the bed will wake you up with the lights that come into the bedroom. Bring an eye mask and you are good.
Even with a couple hick-ups it's absolutely someplace my wife and i would stay again.
Loved this apartment ... I rent apartments every year in NYC and this one I would rent again. The neighborhood has all you need, we stayed 7 days and this is on my fav list for comfort and location. The apartment is cute and is as shown on site. The Super John and Luca are very easy to deal with. Thank you for sharing your home:))
My sister and I stayed at this apartment for four nights and we absolutely loved it. We enjoyed the neighborhood and it was very close to the subway. Luca was extremely helpful and John was very nice too. You can hear some noise in the apartment and yes the subway runs under the apartment, but you are in NYC, what do you expect? The noise or the subway never bothered us at all. We were so tired when we came back from exploring the city that we slept like rocks in the super comfy bed. The photos in the apartment was very nice too. The overall feel of the apartment was very nice. It gave us the feel of being real New Yorkers for a few days and was way way better than staying in a hotel. If you do stay here, you have to eat at the Grey Dog on Carmine street, it is delicious. There are several places down Carmine to eat. The neighborhood in General is nice and it was convenient from the airport. We would definitely recommend this apartment and hope to return again for another visit in NYC.
Apartment exactly as advertised. Comfortable bed, living area, bath. Tastefully decorated. Non-linear layout makes it feel even bigger than it is. Excellent coffee-maker and other modern appliances, electronics. Air conditioning helpful not only for cooling but to reduce outside noise. Extremely convenient to Village, subway. (The subway rumbling beneath the ground is real, but I found it relaxing.) Even found nearby on-street parking for weekend. Did not use it, of course, since everything accessible by foot or train. Minor annoyance of needing to call super multiple times (day before, hour before, time of arrival, day before departure). But he was accessible and very nice. We would definitely return.
