Michelle and Tom have lived in San Francisco for many years, and are very happy to share their property with visitors from around the world.
Annette or Coila (from www.SFHoldayRentals.com) purchased this apartment in 2012
San Francisco is such a renowned city for its diversity, culture, architecture, food and culture that its beachfront beauty can be overlooked. Imagine all of the well-known charms of our wonderful city and add a jaw-dropping view of the Pacific Ocean and the California coastline and that is our place.
A quiet, friendly neighborhood with a relaxed beach feel, close to all of the excitement of the City. The area is close to bus lines, Ocean Beach, parks, zoo, restaurants, , the Cliffhouse, and much more. The Golden Gate Bridge is a short 3.9 mile, 14 minute drive. Most people don't even know about our 2 block street though everyone knows the neighborhood. We are on a hill offering us a 180 degree view of the West coast, (we know that we see at least 25 miles because we can see the Farallon Islands, simply gorgeous.) Watch our famous fog, roll in and listen to the fog horn while snuggled up near the fire. Enjoy sunset cocktails from the balcony. Watch as the cool, grey mist burns off and the awesome Pacific sparkles under brilliant blue skies. We have a backyard sprinkled with calla lilies that grow wild. There's a coffee roastery, neighborhood movie theatre, Queen Wilhemina's tulip Garden at the base of the Windmill, the best marguaritas in the world, really! at Tommy's Mexican Restaurant and much much more. Ethnic restaurants too! Whew, I could go on & on...
Panoramic Pacific Views, super clean, spacious bedrooms and baths. Easy Access to mass transit and parking on street was easy. The kitchen was not well stocked for someone who loves to cook. The stove was old and un-reliable. Overall, this home was a great value and if you love Sutro Park like we do - you will love staying here! The owners were available in minutes when called and we had a fantastic stay here.
What a great location! The views of the ocean and Golden Gate Park are amazing. Beautiful walks through Sutro Park to Seal Rock and the Cliff House, then a short walk through the park for spectacular views of Golden Gate Bridge. Very bright and cheery, comfortable house with all amenities. Much more than just lodging. This is a home away from home.......with amazing views. Easy public transportation if needed.
We have stayed here in the past. Great amenties and modern appointments. Perfect location for a walk on the beach, and for those nights when you want a to watch the sunset (with a drink, or two) and don't want to drive - just walk to the Cliff House for a grand meal. Minutes by car to the European flavor of downtown San Francisco, and the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito and Marin is five minutes away. Wine country is an hour away. We would do it again.
Golden Gate National Recreation area begins steps away, Fort Funston, Fort Miley, sand stairs half a block away offering a view of Ocean Beach and the coast through sand dunes ending at Balboa Street, hiking trails offering Golden Gate Bridge views,HD TV with HBO, Showtime, Hallmark & more
