About Wayne Zschech
Wayne is a Lutheran pastor and Kate is a realtor in Haddonfield, NJ. We have a daughter, Brigitte, who is nicknamed, Brie. Because of our Irish background and Wayne's profession, we gave our mountain getaway home the name Saint Brigid's Cross. It's meant to be our place to retreat from the demands of parish life, retail sales, and simply keeping up with the academic and extracurricular pace of high school. We all ski, but have little time on weekends to enjoy the slopes in winter. Summer is when we really get a chance to take time away for biking, hiking, and boating, and since Wayne likes to golf and the women like to shop it makes for a great compromise. Our dream has been to own a B&B one day. Opening up our home to guests is our way of tapping into our joy of making others feel welcome and having a good time. It's why Kate's family enjoys celebrating Thanksgiving here every year.
Wayne Zschech purchased this Townhome in 2006
Why Wayne Zschech chose Lake Harmony
In 2005 Kate and I created a 10-year goal of owning a mountain home near a lake. While celebrating our 15th Anniversary the next year at Camelback we decided to check out some listings near Lake Harmony. As soon as we saw the home we knew it was for us. Kate loves to play tennis and I enjoy golf. We both enjoyed skiing and Big Boulder was the perfect mountain for getting our daughter hooked on it too. The lake amenities are so great we can stay there all day in the summer were it not for the trails at Hickory Run S.P. or Bushkill Falls or the bike trail along the Lehigh River. It was the perfect location for a family that loves the outdoors as well as the simple pleasures of a home away from home.
What makes this Townhome unique
The close proximity to the ski hill at Big Boulder in the winter (as well as Jack Frost and other nearby slopes) and the Lake Mountain Club and other hiking and biking trails in the summer captured all we wanted in a mountain home. It is very quite even thought it is in a townhome community which is very calming for us living in a hustle and bustle area of the Northeast. The ground floor family room is great for children to play in and while adults can enjoy conversation in the living room without a lot of distraction. The floor plan is ideal for groups with both night owls and early birds to enjoy their stay and their sleep.

Very nice house to get away from it all and relax! Clean and well organized, great place to stay
The property was great exactly what we needed. Location was perfect close to BB.
Our family stayed at the townhouse over NYE weekend and had a great time. It is in a perfect location close to BB mountain, Boulder Tavern as well as Piggys and Shenanigans. The house was perfect, it had a great layout with more than enough room for 12 to spread out. Unfortunately there was a maintenance problem in the house when we arrived. When I contacted Wayne he was quick to respond and was very helpful considering he was out of the country at the time. He was very fair to us and we will definitely be renting from him again.
Great bang for the buck
We came with our family and found the accommodations as described which were great. The hot tub was nice, game room fun, and having a passes for everyone at the club house was key. We'd definitely come back.
Your house is very pretty. Nice to see you there waiting to come back again
A comfortable home located in a beautiful spot
The owners are very accommodating. The home is well maintained with a lot of room. We have stayed in the home twice and we hope to go back again.
Well stocked, Lovely Location
Overall the place was a little worn, but very clean and comfortable. Bathrooms look to have been updated. The kitchen was well stocked and the grill on the deck was fairly new and exactly what we needed. The back deck looked out on a wooded area and during our summertime stay, was fairly quiet.
No major issues during our stay.
Location would be great for skiers; you could conceivable walk to the slopes.
Owner was extremely responsive and very helpful; easy to deal with.
Big Boulder is only a 1/4 mile from front door with other ski areas only 15-20 minutes away. Hickory Run SP offers extensive scenic hiking trails. Outlet shopping in Tannersville is only 20 minutes away. Casinos are only 25-30 minutes away. Biking, paintball, and rafting are all available within 20 minutes or less. Tennis courts are 50 yards from house.
