I'm a 'conch'! Which means I was born & raised in Key West. In fact, my family has been living in Key West for several generations. They had a home in Cuba & one in Key West. They would take the ferry back & forth. They moved permanently to Key West in the 1950's.
It is extremely clean and well maintained plus it has incredible wide open water views. We provide high quality linens & plush towels. There is off street parking & wifi..
The Florida keys have the world's 3rd largest living coral reef. Get out on a boat & experience the beautiful waters!
We spent the months of Jan and Feb here. Yes, the view is lovely and we did see some nice sunrises.
Unfortunately only the two bedrooms have air conditioning so on warm days it was very unpleasant inside the kitchen and living area.
The property is extremely close to neighbors on both sides and on weekends especially there was loud music sometimes until after 11:00 PM.
The TV reception was unpredictable and on windy nights it would cut out completely.
We are both business people who brought our lap tops. It got pretty pricey each month as they only allowed 6 gigabytes a month.
We enjoyed Key Largo and the Keys but next time we will stay elsewhere.
We were able to stay at the trailer while we attended Championship weekend in Homestead. Every aspect of
our stay was exceptional. Unbelievably relaxing to be so close to the water. We woke up each morning to
incredible sunrises over the water. It was so nice not to have to eat every meal at a restaurant and the trailer
was so well equipped with everything possible to make this possible including an outside grill. Thank you
for making this a truly enjoyable vacation.
Our little family stayed in this calming and warm trailer. It was so nice to have a home base that we could come back to each night and relax and make our own food and just enjoy the view, the warmth and comfort. The trailer was so nice and clean, the room that we stayed in felt like we were secluded and woke up each morning to an amazing view of the ocean. Dealing with the property owner was a breeze. Any concerns that we had, were answered promptly and it just made our vacation that much nicer. Would definitely recommend!
The unit was very well cared for with everything there required for our stay. The location was very quiet and peaceful.
Nice clean place. Stayed four nights and caught four awesome sunrises. It is quiet here and not many lights so stargazing in the evening is great. If you really want to be close it is a little distance into Key Largo. Ran into a few mosquitos and noseeums. Other than that it is paradise.
My husband and I were looking for a “home base” for a month in the Key Largo area. This property listing stood out for us: directly on the open water, 2 bedroom, complete kitchen, attractive decor. The information provided was thorough and as it turned out - very accurate. Patty was easy to contact, very responsive, and flexible when we decided to add an additional week on to our stay. She clearly cares about the property and takes care to keep it up.
Every morning we woke up to the sunrise from our bedroom …. every afternoon we spent at the water’s edge noticing something new everyday. … so many different birds, dolphins, weather. It seems that a lot of people fish in this area, we don’t, but enjoyed watching fish swim quite near the shore including a blue angelfish! We also rented a kayak from Paddle the Keys for the month and had fun exploring the waters right there (although the launching was a little awkward from the rocky property edge - there is a boat ramp within the community that would be an option as well.) We enjoyed many hours reading in the gazebo - even in a gentle rain. Road noise from the Overseas Hwy was only noticeable on very calm days but even then wasn’t an issue. Obviously the units are quite close together but we had no issues with noise from neighbors - everyone was quite pleasant. Inside the unit was very clean and comfortable - not overly roomy but big enough, even when we had guests for a day or two. All linens and kitchen and table ware were provided. Patty has also painted a series of painting using Keys content and wonderful colors that were placed around the unit and wonderful reminders of where we were.
Our biggest problem was not directly related to the specific property but with the fact that to do anything besides being at the property (walking any distance or biking) you needed to get in your car and go at least the 6 miles into Key Largo proper. (We were not about to walk or bike on the shoulder of the highway.) There is a pool associated with the property - it is clean, but not very welcoming and quite small - so that wasn’t very tempting. On the other hand, its distance from the population center of Key Largo gave it a real sense of refuge and calm that was utterly enjoyable.
If we ever are looking for an extended stay in Key Largo again - this property would be in serious contention!

Key Largo is a fantastic place to use as a base. Enjoy the Florida Keys but still be a short drive to Miami attractions. Take a scenic drive down to Key West!!
