“Well it was love at first sight. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and only wish we could stay longer.”
“Your cabin is a wonderful secluded site to enjoy nature, watching the sea and her inhabitants was enthralling. Eagles showed themselves often, as well as gulls, crows, seals and otters playing on the rocks. At supper last night two (of the many!) deer waltzed past the dining room window.”
“We lacked for nothing. Thank you for all your thoughtful details and the cozy cottage feel. Our dog loved retrieving his toy in the sea and often commented on how great the view was.”

We are absolutely delighted with our stay at Garden Beach Cottage. The location is quite wonderful - right on the water with super views and lots of wildlife sauntering by to delight. This is a true cottage. Cozy and full of retro details. Excellent comfy beds. The bunk-beds were a nice surprise as the bottom is a double and top a single with good quality mattresses and linens. Queen bed also very good quality.
Having planned to explore Vancouver Island from this central position, we actually spent a lot of our time 'at home' enjoying the view from the comfort of the sprawling decks. We'll be back!
Just returned from an amazing 4-day getaway with two girlfriends at Garden Beach Cottage!
By far one of the nicest cottages I've ever had the pleasure of renting: the location is stunning and right on the beach. I've never seen so many eagles and deer from that close up. The cottage itself is extremely well-maintained, was spotless upon our arrival, and features multiple levels of sprawling decks for eating and lounging. The decor was well chosen and extremely charming (beautiful vintage stove!), and was so well outfitted. Anything you could possibly need is probably in the cupboard. Plastic wrap, wax paper, a couple dozen different kinds of dried herbs, a hair dryer, floatation devices for going in the water - all the little things I usually forget to pack while travelling but that make your stay way more comfortable. Plus the things other cottages tend to skimp on, like towels and robes… there was an abundance of fluffy towels so we never had to worry about doing laundry during our stay (though there was a washer/dryer if we had needed to).
The owner obviously takes a lot of pride in this property and in being an amazing host. Thank you for everything, we will definitely be back!
Garden Beach Cottage is everything and more than we had hoped for. The owners maintain this cozy property in excellent condition and have equipped it carefully, with many 'extras' in anticipation of their guests needs and whims, providing everything from vintage cottage games and puzzles to wireless internet and an iPod dock. Our welcome basket included champagne and goodies, and our little dog was thrilled to find a special dish and treats for him as well. Spectacular views, large decks, frequent wildlife sightings, and a central Vancouver Island location -- all added to the comfort of the cottage to create a wonderful holiday experience. We've found a treasure -- and will definitely return.
We stayed at the Nanoose cottage for a few days over New Year's and it was one of the most memorable New Year's Eves I've had. The location is beautiful, and has the feeling of being secluded, without the inconveniences of isolation. The cottage has everything you could possibly need and lots of lovely touches, including this amazing vintage stove that was so much fun to use! Being right on the water is such a treat, to hear the waves and the see the wildlife, it felt very special. We ended up cancelling our plans for day trips, and hope to make our stay an annual tradition!
Beautiful setting but the cottage was very rustic and not suitable for 4 adults. Overpriced and in need of upgrades and repairs to justify the weekly rates. There is nowhere to launch the boat which is a ways from the waters edge and too heavy to move!! We really enjoyed the deck life and nearby beaches. Views are spectacular.
We spent 2 week at this wonderful cabin. It is truly like a home away from home. They have thought of everything you could ever need during your stay. The sunrises are special and that is when you could see otters, seals and killer whale. Cabin is located in an ideal location for day trips. They place is well maintained and very clean. The pictures do not due it justice!!
Thanks so much for everything!!
