"The Fairways at Mauna Lani", is a private gated community of luxury homes on the Kohala Coast located inside the world-renowned Mauna Lani Resort. The Mauna Lani Resort, also home to The Fairmont Orchid and The Mauna Lani Bay Hotels is located 25 minutes north of the Kailua-Kona Airport.
The home features two bedrooms and three bathrooms, approximately 1700 square feet of living space, in addition to two Lanai. Perfect for a small family on vacation or a couple.

The Fairways sports lava rock waterfalls, an outdoor jacuzzi/spa, and a free form pool with an attached kid pool. The jacuzzi/spa, pool, and air conditioned exercise room are a short walk, providing the perfect blend of convenience and privacy.
A walk south from the Fairways, leads to the The Shops at Mauna Lani, a unique shopping center featuring art galleries, gift stores, and a well appointed Foodland gourmet grocery store. While at The Shops at Mauna Lani, you may enjoy weekly hula performances, live Hawaiian music, ukulele instruction and lei making classes.
Two fabulous gourmet restaurants are located at the Shops at Mauna Lani; Ruth Chris Steak House and The Tommy Bahama Restaurant and Bar. Have dinner or cocktails while watching the sunset at the Tommy Bahama Restaurant and Bar.
Enjoy drinks at the Fairmont's Ocean Bar, while watching the sea turtles come ashore on the white sand beach. The Fairmont Orchid has a fantastic beach, extremely kid friendly and offers many water sports activities for rent/purchase.
Two golf courses are available at the Mauna Lani Resort; The South Course, with its signature "over-the-water" 15th green, and The North Course, both designed by Francis H. I'i Brown. Several additional world-class courses are located 10 to 15 minutes from the home. At the Waikoloa Resort, you can choose The Beach Course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. or The King's Course, designed by Tom Weiskopf. At the Mauna Kea resort you will find, a Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed course, and at the Hapuna Beach, an Arnold Palmer designed course.

As for Beaches, the Mauna Lani Resort offers a private "Beach Club", as a guest in the home, you have drive in gate privileges. Two of Hawaii's infamous and fabulous beaches are a 5 minute car ride, South you will find Anaehoomalu Bay also know as "A" Bay, this perfect crescent shaped white sand beach, offers snorkeling, windsurfing, kayaking, and whale watching or you can simply relax under the shade of a palm tree. Located to the north, beachcombers and surfers alike, will enjoy Hapuna Beach next to Waialea Bay, a lively surfers beach next door to the Hapuna Prince Beach Hotel.
The well-appointed kitchen includes granite counter-tops, stainless steel appliances, rice cooker, blender, toaster, coffee maker/grinder, and complete cooking tools, ready for your time in Paradise!
The master bedroom and bathroom on the second floor, include a king-size bed, walk-in closet, flat panel LED-TV, island inspired ceiling fan, en suite bathroom with dual sinks, separate soaking tub, separate walk-in shower, and a sitting area, with a private Lanai.
In the guest bedroom, you will find a queen bed, flat panel LED-TV, island inspired ceiling fan, and an attached bathroom with a tub/shower.
On the first floor of the home in the living room, a queen size convertible sofa-bed can be used if desired.

Great location in Mauna Lani close to shopping, petroglyphs, Fairmont Orchid hotel, walking distance to the beach, what is not to like about the Fairways at Mauna Lani.
Easy access from the Kailua-Kona Airport, in a 5-star resort, with fabulous beaches in the dryer Kohala coast. Close to shopping and fine dining. Included access to a Beach Club, known for excellent snorkeling and swimming. Tropical park-like area with a pool, hot tub, and covered pavilion at the center of the development. This townhome is equipped with a private barbecue and wrap-around Lanai. The upstairs master suite also has it's own private Lanai. Just a note to let you know everything is sorted out and we’re enjoying our vacation and your place. It’s a very nice place here, comfortable and well equipped. Weather is unbelievable, got in a round of golf yesterday.
This was our fourth visit to this condo and we continue to be amazed at how great this unit is, Mark has been such an easy person to deal with and always ready to provide information to improve the visit, not to mention how wonderful they keep up this unit. Love the location and everything is here to support your time at the beach, especially access to the Beach club. We still find new things to discover just in the Mauna Lani area. Thanks again for a great stay.
This is our fourth year staying in Mark’s unit. Each visit only gets better and better. Mark is an owner unlike most others. He is conscientious about upgrading the amenities such as providing additional towels for the bathrooms, new drapes for the patio doors, expanding on the pots and pans in the kitchen as well as adding an extra set of dishes. We especially appreciate the fact that Mark provides ample cleaning supplies so that we can keep his home in the condition that we maintain our own house. The Mauna Lani complex continues to be very well maintained. The pool area is great for all ages. Smaller pool that the younger children love and a very large pool for lots of activities from swimming laps to just having fun in the water. The hot tub is one of the best we have encountered in all of our rental experiences. We just hope Mark’s place continues to be available to us for future rentals as it has become a real favorite for us.
Enjoyed our stay at this condo. Amenities are exactly as described, in fact, photos do not do justice to the condo interior. It was very quiet during our stay, barely saw any others at pool or gardens. Easy walk to Fairmont Orchid for beachfront deli/coffee shop, restaurants, bar, and walk along the shore. Easy walk to Foodland farms for groceries and other shops at Mauna Lani. We love the Mauna Kani area and have stayed in this area before, and condo is a good value. If you're fit enough to walk 30 minutes or more there is lots to see and do without a car. Otherwise, great beaches and exploring to be had in Kohala coast, Waimea, and more for short drives. Enjoy!
Unfortunately, we didn't end up making it to our holiday on this beautiful island. We were coming for the half-ironman, but circumstances meant I couldn't compete. Our stay was was booked, but we had to cancel.
However, Mark was very understanding and accommodating and great to deal with. We will try and come next year or the year after for the race and I will be booking this place again.
We had such a great time here. Communication with Mark was always pleasant and he was extremely helpful. The home itself was immaculate and lacking for nothing. It's so nice to go on vacation to an unfamiliar location and feel so comfortable.
Our family of four spent 2 weeks this past June at this townhome. The location is perfect with easy access to all areas of The Big Island.
The full size kitchen and outdoor grill made it easy and convenient to eat in most of the time. We were able to enjoy some of the nearby, and not so nearby restaurants. Being close to the pool was fabulous. We maintained an active schedule, but it was nice to end the days with a swim and soak at the hot tub in the community pool just around the corner. The private beach club was great. Easy access, comfy lounges, and good snorkeling.
The shopping center has some fun shops and a good little grocery store that stocked local grass fed beef as well as locally grown fruits and veggies. It's convenient to pick up milk or ice without having to run over to Waikaloa.
Mark was incredibly easy to work with and excellent in communicating. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to experience the Big Island in comfort, convenience, and amenities.
The pictures posted do not do the home justice! While looking at the photos and thinking it looks nice, it's really about 10 times nicer than what you're seeing.
December thru April are fantastic times for whale watching in Hawaii...
Any time of year is fabulous for golfing, hiking, snorkeling, or just relaxing at the beach!
