Our four bedroom two bathroom cottage would be great for a family reunion or a shared vacation with another family. With six beds the cottage comfortably sleeps eight people.
We've posted a lot of pictures to help describe our cottage property, take a look at all the listing information and let us know if we can help with any other details.
The outside prperty is ideal for summer swimming and boating. There is a large dock that extends out from the shore about sixty feet, and half way out there is a big deck with swim stairs. There is also a comfortable outdoor patio area with a table, 6 chairs and gas BBQ, this is at the same level as the kitchen for easy outdoor dining.
The cottage has a beautiful heated sunroom and dining area facing west across the lake. During the fall it is a comfortable spot to look out onto the lake and see the colour of the trees on the opposite side of Lake Couchiching. There are sometimes beautiful sunsets on the lake.
There is a full modern kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, and fridge with ice-maker. Year round central heat, A/C, and WIFI . Tastefully decorated and clean.
There are four bedrooms, two main floor bedrooms (one with on-suite bathroom) and two upstairs bedrooms. Each bedroom has a queen size bed and one of the upstairs bedrooms has two additional single beds.
Located an hour and a half north of Toronto it is just outside of the village of Washago, the property can be easily reached from Toronto by traveling up Hwy 400, or avoid the big highway and travel north along highway 12 north and highway 169.
It's a twenty minute drive to the towns of Gravenhurst and Orillia or fifteen minutes to the entertainment at Casino Rama. Boats are available for rent at the local marinas for anyone wishing to travel through the nearby lock and along the Severn waterway towards Georgian Bay.
The water at the end of the dock is about four feet deep, boaters need to know the preferred access route before approaching the dock. There is also a small beach area.

We live in Toronto in the Danforth Riverdale area. We love to spend weekends at the cottage, skiing in the winter and fishing in the summer and hanging out on the dock. We are still working and raising our family and over the summer we only have a couple of weeks available to enjoy the cottage. So when we can't be there we like to make it available for others to enjoy.
The Owner purchased this cottage in 2010
We have been cottaging in this area for many years and enjoy that there are lots of local attractions to keep us busy year round. Our cottage is rented mostly by families on summer vacation or small groups looking for a peaceful retreat. This would not be a good party house.
The cottage sits right on the edge of the water and the sunroom offers a 160 degree view of Lake Couchiching. The dock is unique as it extends over 60' off the shore over Canadian shield rock, but has a large seating area that receives the sun early and lasts throughout the day. It's a great place to relax.
Beautiful spot on Lake Couchiching!
Very clean!! With all amenities, Full kitchen and BBQ, 6 beds.
Facing west to enjoy the afternoon sun and beautiful sunsets. Decent swimming with shallow warm water. Ability to dock a boat.
This cottage was perfect for our group of 6 or any medium to large family.
We will definitely be returning!
We wanted to try something a little different this year for our family Thanksgiving get together. Renting the cottage turned out to be an excellent weekend getaway with our extended family (9 of us)
The cottage itself' is very well equipped, very clean, with comfortable beds. The picture of the sunroom/3 season room does not do it justice. This space is very bright, spacious and affords terrific views of the water and beautiful sunsets.
The property itself is as well maintained as the inside. Oak Point Rd is a lovely quiet dead end road lined with beautiful trees and quaint cottages. Perfect for walking!
We really enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to returning next year.
We recently traveled from Southern California to spend a few days in the Toronto area and decided to travel up to Lake Couchiching and we are so glad that we did. Our stay here was perfect! We sat out in the sunroom every evening with a glass of wine and every morning with a cup of Tim Horton's coffee (wish we had it in So. Calif.) to enjoy the beauty all around us - Fall colors, beautiful water, Canadian geese, not to mention their beautiful, comfortable home. We all had large comfortable beds to sleep in (and that doesn't always happen) and we had everything at our finger tips. We traveled to small towns such as Bala and continued our Fall Color experience, along with antique hunting. We would highly recommend staying here and we hope to come back. My husband had hoped to fish right from the dock, but the water is shallow, so he had to seek other spots for fishing....But the fishing was very good...Water, water everywhere!
