Kona Onenalo is a ONE-OF-A-KIND property on the beautiful Kona Coast. There are 12 identical and individual homes in this quiet, gated community. The complex sits on a point of land adjoining La Aloa Bay, and is just a 3 minute walk to Magic Sands Beach. You'll love the sunsets!

The House is two stories, with two bedrooms upstairs, complete with king-size beds and private baths. The master bedroom has spectacular ocean views with only the sound of the waves to lull you to sleep. The living room features huge sliding doors which open to the covered lanai to create true island living. While sitting on the lanai, be sure to keep an eye open for spinner dolphins, and, in the winter, humpback whales!

The pool, spa and grounds are expertly maintained. Within minutes of your arrival, you will feel like you have your own piece of paradise.

We purchased our vacation home in this location because Kona is the combination of the best that Hawaii has to offer. Sun, surf, and lots of ALOHA!

What makes this house unique

Since each of the units is an individual building, you get the benefits of renting a home, while enjoying the convenience of a condominium. Because the complex is only 12 units, you can have the privacy you want, but you are likely to make new friends by the pool during the unofficial sunset happy hour!

A great place to stay

We recently had the opportunity to stay at Kona Onenalo owned and operated by Jeff and Brenda Gilb. The home is absolutely amazing; the décor is beautiful, lots of room for everyone (we brought six). The Gilb’s take great care in ensuring that you get the most out of your vacation. Lots of books and literature to point you in the right direction in deciding what you want to do and where you want to go. The views from the lanai are beautiful and the ever sounding crashing of the waves leaves a memorable impression. Also from the lanai you can see whales and dolphins surfacing in the ocean. We actually saw two humpback whales, what a great sight to see. This is a gated community which provides safety a very relaxing stay.

The Island takes on many faces as you travel around; the waterfalls and rain forest near Hilo and the charm that Kona offers. As we traveled around we really grew to appreciate everything Kona has to offer. The main village in town is wonderful for walking and shopping, has one of the best markets I’ve ever seen. Kona really has something for everyone; this was the best vacation me and my family ever had, if you want to stay in a beautiful home with close access to the best the Big Island has to offer this is for you.

How a VRBO experience should be!

To say it simply: This is the experience you should get with a VRBO rental. The owners are extremely easy to communicate with and you get what you see in the photos and MUCH MORE! It is a rental that you should consider while staying in Kona. Truly excellent!

Perfect location with all the amenities

Four of us went to Kona for a business trip and stayed in this spectacular condo. The home had all of the amenities we required. The location is perfectly situated on Ali'i close to town as well as the Sheraton and the beach. Also its easy to get up the hill if Ali'i is backed up or closed as it was during on our stay. I highly recommend this condo to families or small groups looking for break from the hotel scene.

Wonderful Home

Six of us from various parts of the west joined up in Kona for a wonderful 9 days. Even though you're only a few miles from the heart of Kona, the location is quiet and the view of the ocean is spectacular. The house has everything you could possibly need and the owners are wonderful. We appreciated all the valuable information provided by them before our trip and in the home once we arrived. We had a great time and know you will too!

Where do you live?

Perfect visit

We stayed for a week at the end of March 2015 and as we entered the home a huge whale breached right out front to welcome us. During the course of our visit two different whales had their babies only a few yards away from us and spent most of each day sunning in the calm waters. A walk through the side gate led us to the perfect cove filled with bright colored fish and turtles that were very curious and friendly. The house was wonderful and homey and very well stocked. We had a group of 5 and never felt cramped in any way. It is close to everything and we would not hesitate to stay again.

Fabulous rental

We had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful property. We enjoyed evenings at the pool watching the sunsets. Much of the time, it seemed that we had the entire property to ourselves. It was amazing how many accessories we had at our disposal. We made use of the full set of boogie boards, snorkel gear, flippers, beach chairs, and a beach umbrella. The pantry was fully stocked with condiments. There was even leftover food items from prior guest that we enjoyed. The property is gorgeous and kept up daily. We spent much of our time on the lanai on their very comfortable plastic wicker outdoor furniture. We enjoyed watching the dolphins and whales every day. The property is conveniently located with quick access to the main highway and a short drive to downtown. I got a lot of kudos from our group of 6 adults for picking such a beautiful place for our vacation. If it fits your needs, do not hesitate on choosing this property.

Paradise in Kona

This is a wonderful property right on the ocean. All the amenities you need including boogie boards, beach chairs and snorkel gear. We loved sitting on the lanais and watch the whales and dolphins go by. It was stocked with everything you could need for a family with lots of room to spread out. Great beds too - better than I have at home! Everything you need in the kitchen - even a coffee grinder to grind yummy Kona coffee. The owners are fantastic and so helpful. It's just a gorgeous place. Close to town and to the snorkeling beaches. Just loved staying here. Really hope we can come back soon.
