Our Vacation home is a beautiful waterfront condo that has boat access, a lovely community pool, Jacuzzi hot tub, clubhouse and gym. We purchased our unit June of 2010 and all furnishings are brand new and selected to provide a warm tropical feel. There are two private bedrooms with large balconies overlooking the intercoastal or 'sound' as it is locally called. We also have a full size sleeper in the family room and twin sleeper in the sunroom for guests. Our unit is large and spacious with a gorgeous kitchen, large baths and plenty of sunshine.
We hope to someday retire in the Outer Banks and hope that you will enjoy our home as much as we do.
If you would like to bring your boat, just let us know and we can arrange for docking in our community marina.
The security fee is 200.00 Please bring your own beach equipment and towels. We ask that the unit be gently cleaned before your departure. Security Deposit of 200.00 will be required at booking and will be refunded within 30 days of departure to ensure home is left nice for the next visitor. There will also be a 100.00 cleaning fee for each booking. Please note there arte additional VRBO/HOME AWAY site fees. These fees are the guests responsibility and are paid to VRBO for the secure on line booking process they offer travelers. Credit card transaction fee will be deducted from security deposit if applicable depending on your banking policy . We prefer to speak with you prior to booking so please utilize the contact owner button on the website to ensure we can meet your vacation needs. A small amount of supplies are provided on arrival however it is the responsibility of each guest to purchase additional supplies during your vacation such as soap , toiletries and cooking supplies

We wanted a home on the water to some day retire to and had visited the outer banks several times. We love the fact that there is plenty to do with friendly people in the area. Manteo is a charming Victorian fishing village that was the first colony in the US. There are lovely views each morning and evening and we are only 2 -3 miles to the ocean. Our condo is our little bit of heaven and very relaxing. We hope you enjoy it. Gene

The Outer Banks is a friendly, care free location with lots of things to do.
Great views, friendly people, lots of watersports, museums, lighthouses, beach nearby. Stripers Restaurant is on property with great local seafood. Shallowbag Bay Ship's store on property.
Such. Beautiful condo ! Great views , clean and resteraunt on property was great . Cleaning lady Donna was so helpful and offered to assist in anything we needed . I did not feel removing garbage or emptying dishwasher was excessive and laundry did not have to be placed back on beds -not sure if other guest did not read contract and welcome letter . In addition housekeeper offered to assist . We would leave our own home tidy so did not feel this was excessive at all . Gene and Jeanine were great to work with too -we will be back !
The condo from the first minute was beautiful and delightful. The home is only 10 minutes from Jennette's Pier, which is a beautiful beach, with bathrooms and a locally owned gift shop and free parking. The restaurant on site - Stripers is absolutely fantastic with great service and bar area, with an exceptional view of the water. The decks are what makes the home unique, we enjoyed sitting on them every night after a beach filled day. The drive to Corolla 4x4 beach is about 45-55 minutes but well worth the drive to see the wild horses, and sandy beach (no jelly fishes), we set up our EZ up next to our truck and had shade and lots of sunshine. Jeanine is an absolute doll, our stay was rated an A++ because of her 100% devotion to the renters. Our family fished off the pier on site and/or sat on the benches to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a relaxing, comfortable and updated home.
Condo is absolutely gorgeous. Beautifully decorated and spacious. Very well maintained. Close to the beach, fishing, and great restaurants - Shallow Bag Bay Marina restaurant , Tortuga's etc...Beautiful views of the Sound from the front deck. The owners were very accommodating and cared about our vacation needs. We will definitely be returning.. One of the most relaxing , peaceful vacations we have ever had. Thank you Gene and Jeanine.
We went to the Outerbanks to find a peaceful retreat where we could relax with the family. This condo was perfect for our family of 5. There's a beautiful master suite with its own private deck and spa-like bathroom. The other bedroom has two twin beds with French doors that lead out to the beautiful front deck that overlooks the Marina and Shallowbag bay. There's also a sunroom with a comfy pullout couch and pocket doors for privacy. We made meals for everyone in the luxury kitchen all week without needing to eat out. Most of our days were spent on the island going to the private pool, taking dolphin tours, and attending the Lost Colony play. This area is very uncommercialized and feels like home. It's nice for when you just want to spend time with family. The day we left, all we had to do was throw our sheets in the wash, and the maid took care of the rest. The owners were very helpful and made everything easy and we can't wait to come back next year!
My wife and I rented this condo for a week to get away from our daily routine. The pictures on this site doesn't do it justice! The views of the water were breath-taking, along with the amazing pool that had the same incredible view. My wife and I really enjoyed going to Jocky's Ridge for shopping and dining out. We drove up to Corolla (45 Miles north) and rented a jeep and were able to drive on the beach to see wild Spanish Mustangs that lived on the beach. We ate lunch everyday at Stripers grill that's located in the condominiums and also took a dolphin tour from the boat dock right out the front door. We really enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a little piece of paradise!
The condo was conveniently located close to grocery stores, local shops in Manteo, and only a short drive to the beach! The Condo itself was beautiful and very well maintained. The full-sized kitchen helped save money from making our own meals instead of eating out. There's a full-sized laundry room that is also a nice feature to have! The deck was the best part of the entire visit; it overlooked the sound and Shallowbag bay while providing a nice breeze all day long. The owners were very accommodating in helping me through the renting process. Thanks for sharing your home with my family! See you next year!
The condo was nice but I think the owner is very new to renting. She has 4 pages of instructions which she mails, emails & leaves a printed copy in the unit. She charged the standard cleaning fee (and wanted us to tip the cleaning lady!) but expects guests to wash all dishes and put them away, wash and put away towels, bed sheets & covers the morning of checkout and checkout is 10 am!! The cleaning lady knocked on the door at 9:30 a.m. My husband & I had to share a towel when we showered in the morning to avoid any additional laundry. Also, drying the clothes during the humid summer months takes forever. We were up at 6:00 a.m. cleaning. She insists on having a long phone conversation prior to accepting any reservations (maybe profiling guests?). She also requires you to sign a separate 4-5 page contract & I had to send a copy of my driver's license!! My husband & I are professionals & have booked at least 15 times through many of these sites - majority of the units several times higher value than this one and we have never been subjected to this treatment. There are many other units in this building & other more convenient locations that are more renter friendly.
