We waited for the right property to come up for sale, having already decided we wanted to be on Skólavörðustígur. It was always our favorite street in Reykjavik.

So comfortable for 3

This rental was perfect for three of us, bright and sunny and had everything we needed, including the washer/dryer. Just down the block from the cathedral (Hallgrimskirkja), so easy to find and we parked free within a block for four days. One can hear folks walking/talking on the street, but generally this is a quiet section at night, not in the main restaurant/bars area - and we were there on a weekend and on Icelandic National Day! We loved being on the upper floor (the spiral staircase is no problem unless you have mobility issues). Convenient to everything and we walked all over town. Mark was very organized and provided all the details

needed in advance. Felt like our little home away from home.

Great location

This apartment is in a great location. The apartment is nice, a little small, but overall a great rental. You can walk to everything in Reykajevic. If you do rent a car parking is not too challenging. You have to pay for on street parking or park at the Cathederal a couple blocks away for free. Owner communicated easily and addressed issues very quickly after we arrived.

Loved this place!

Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teens) stayed in the upper flat for 3 days. It is clean, bright, roomy and the beds are very comfortable. We loved having a washer and dryer as well. We didn't need a car since the flat is located within walking distance of everything Reykjavik!

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for our visit. We recommend this place to everybody visiting Reykjavik!

Perfect apartment!

This was the perfect place for 3 adults for 4 nights at the end of our 14 day tour around Iceland. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the harbour, shopping, restaurants etc. The apartment is bright, clean and comfortable - including the beds. Parking on the street was never an issue for us. When we arrived home at night we would plug the meter as you can pay in advance for the next morning. The wifi was excellent. Look no further, you'll be happy with this in every way.

Perfect location in Reykjavik

Our family of four, 2 adults and 2 teenagers 15 and 17 stayed here for 5 days in March 2016. We LOVED it. The kids were very happy with their open room and the teenaged daughter was extremely happy with a washer and dryer! We stayed in the upper flat and loved it. The location was perfect, no better place to stay. Shops, bars, dining was all walkable. And the landmark Hallgrimskirkja was our beacon to find our way home most nights. Mark, the owner, is fantastic to work with.

There is a TV, which we really only wanted to use one time, but turning it on for TV was a little complicated. If that was my only little glitch, who cares! we would definitely stay here again.

NY to Reykjavik

My family and I stayed in the flat for 6 days in January. Perfect location in the middle of Reykjavik. Convenient to restaurants, shopping and points of interest. Apartment was well appointed and VERY clean. Having laundry was a huge plus with the bulky winter clothes! Would recommend the lower flat for anyone with limited mobility due to the spiral staircase to get up to the upper flat. Can't wait to return and stay in the red house again!
