Named after the Sea of Abaco Bight where we are located, Crawl Bight comprises 7 'sea to sea' acres just 100' south of Orchid Bay. Our property has high elevations which ensure a refreshing breeze and great view. Our 'off the grid', solar powered, loyalist cottage is located on the Sea of Abaco side, and over looks our dock, Marsh Harbour, all the way to Man O' War.
A short walk across the property and you arrive on the finest beach, period. Included in the rental are two glass-bottom kayaks for you to enjoy the beautiful view in the Sea of Abaco. We have a cute gazebo with a couple of hammocks and chairs for your use. You can stroll down the beach to Nippers, or snorkel on our beautiful reef and view many species of fish. Either way, the pink sand and clear tropical water is sure to soothe you.
If privacy, serenity and back to basics are what you desire in a vacation, you have come to the perfect place. Our windows have wood shutters with screens, and the only shower is outside. No noise, just nature.

Private, romanic getaway
We had a fabulous time at Crawl Bight this past week. It is a very peaceful, private location. We enjoyed long walks on the beach (found lots of great seashells), use of the kayaks in the Abaco Sea, lounging on the deck (seaside) or in the hammock at the cabana (beachfront), and lots of great meals in and out. Lots of great spots for snorkelling, too. We loved our time there, but we used to have an off-grid cottage, so we were anticipating the rustic nature of Crawl Bight - you're really getting away from it all. No wifi, satellite tv, or A/C, but you can get your fix when you visit a local restaurant (they all offer free wifi to guests). There's a T.V. with built-in DVD player and a small collection of DVDs - bring a few with you to keep you occupied in the evenings. Lots of CDs and a nice sound system, too. Outdoor shower is very neat - but water conservation is important...showers need to be short. Great breeze blowing through - no glass windows...just screens and storm shutters. Very clean, and so fabulous to have a spot that spans the whole island - ocean to Abaco sea. Best spots to eat out: Nippers (garden salad with grilled fish), Grabbers (conch chowder, blackened Mahi burger, grilled fish tacos), Orchid Bay (grilled lobster tail, Saturday night ribs, Thursday night wings, conch salad, key lime pie). The 'nipper' and the 'grabber' - fruity rum drinks served in slushy form or on ice - really pack a punch! Careful! ;) Barbecue available for meals in, as well. Small grocery store in town, but not a lot of variety, so best to pick up the bulk of what you need in Marsh Harbour before taking the ferry across to Guana. Golf cart rental from Donna's is a must, as Crawl Bight is a ways inside the gated Orchid Bay community. Loved it! A very relaxing island vacation. We'll certainly be back!
So glad you enjoyed your stay
Sally was great, helpful friendly. The house was nice and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We hope to be back. But I'ld like to make few suggestions. Bedroom linens and pillows very nice but futon and other pillows were stained, moldy. Futons are not comfortable for adults. Loved the dock but ladders need repair and could be hazardous. Over all wonderful experience. thanks for sharing your home. Kathi Heady
Just as advertised. A vreat quiet spot.
We certainly found what we were looking for. Quiet, secluded, with great views of the Sea of A back. Great beaches a short walk or quick golf cart away. A great value!
My husband and I stayed at Crawl Bight for a week, and it was amazing. The house is perfect and really well thought out. The views are spectacular, the beach is secluded and gorgeous, and the house is true Bahamian.
We have been to Guana many times and always enjoyed it, but this was the best rental we've stayed at yet. We will definitely be back. Golf cart is a must and part of the fun. Very casual on the Island. A lot more fresh produce at the grocery store as compared to previous years. The water was beautiful and refreshing. We rented a boat from Troy at Dive Guana for a few days, highly recommend this. The reefs are outstanding. The ferry from Marsh Harbor makes it easy to get to the Island, and is always dependable. We snorkled, body surfed, boated, beach combed, kayaked, toured the island, relaxed and much much more........The perfect stay!!!
Excellent secluded location. A golf cart is a must to make it easy to get to town. The beach is magnificent. It does get warm during the summer but it's nice in the evenings.
Location and privacy were amazing. Lovely cottage. Use of kayaks was great (could have had wheels/dolly to transport easier to water.) Enjoyed running around in golf cart. Would love to go back again. Beaches quiet and natural. Groceries limited, and expensive (take what you can with you!) No need to dress fancy, very casual on the island. Weather a bit rough and cool for first few days, then perfect for remainder of stay.
Swim and snorkel off the beach and in the Sea of Abaco. Excellent reef and abundant marine life.
