Alpine Meadows Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 6 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 14)

Extensively renovated in fall 2010, this cozy 6-bedroom 2600 sq ft family-owned cabin comfortably sleeps 14 people. Master bedroom with queen 4-post bed and fireplace; four other bedrooms with queen beds ; and bunk room with two sets of single bunk beds (Please note: there is not a door on the bunk bed room). Radiant (under floor) heating. Two luxury bathrooms upstairs with walk-in showers - one with large tub, the other with steam shower. Downstairs bathroom has walk-in shower. All showers have 2 shower heads, one is a rain shower head. Open plan living area. Living room has wood floors, wood burning fireplace with plenty of firewood, TV with VHS/DVD player and large movie library. Dining room opens up onto the living room. Gourmet kitchen with stainless steel Frigidaire Professional Series appliances and whisper quiet Bosch dishwasher, granite counter tops.

Located less than 10 minutes drive from Whistler Village (also on bus route) and close to parks, recreation centre with swimming pool, ice rink and gym, and just steps from the Valley Trail for cross country skiing and biking in summer. Cabin is fully stocked including linens, towels, washer, dryer, dishwasher. Hot tub, smoker and Weber BBQ on covered deck. Mud room for ski equipment. Large parking area that fits 6 cars. Cabin is a short walk to frequent bus transit. Dog friendly but must have owner's permission to bring pet. Absolutely no smoking and/or cats due to allergies.

During the winter months, this cabin is the perfect setting for a family ski holiday, winter get-away, or extended stay close to world-class skiing and snowboarding.

During the summer, the cabin is located less than 5 minutes from the spectacular Nicklaus North golf course. A golfer's dream, this course is one of North America's finest. Golfing is from May - October (approx).

If golfing is not your passion, try down-hill mountain biking. Whistler is consistently one of North America's, if not the world's, leading down-hill mountain bike centres. With extensive terrain and bike parks, this is not to be missed. There are bike camps offered for beginners, all the way to experienced riders (there are even women-only camps).

There are also a number of spectacular lakes, hikes and bike trails around Whistler for you to explore and enjoy. Truly, there is something for everyone in this beautiful part of BC.

We ask that our guests be considerate and respectful of the neighbours especially when it comes to late night noise. This is NOT a party cabin - no Stags or Stagettes. Renters must be age 30 or older.

Excellent house for a mid sized ski group

  • 5 of 5

We came as a group of 15 and we had an excellent stay. Nice open layout and a well maintained set of bathroom facilities kept our entire group comfortable and happy for four days. Would gladly recommend this rental to anyone doing a similar group ski trip as us.

Fantastic Whistler Cabin nestled in the heart of Alpine

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 14 friends from all over North America met up for a fun-filled ski weekend and were very impressed with this simple, yet very stylish and functional Whistler cabin. The open concept lay out is conducive to lively dinners, kitchen hang outs, and sitting by the fire, accompanied by a house-wide sound system . Large tasteful bathrooms and showers make having a group of this size very manageable. Large deck, hottub, and mudroom are also welcome. We took taxis to and from the ski hill for convenience.

To make things easy on our group, we hired a local caterer (http://www.whistlercatering.com/) to come in and serve hearty, healthy and delicious diners every evening. They also commented on how nice the kitchen and house were.

All in all, I can tell you that the folks who've never been to Whistler were all very impressed and are already asking when the next ski weekend will be. I highly recommend this cabin in Whistler.

Charming Cabin

  • 5 of 5

I was with a group that rented this cabin to run the "Tough Mudder" race up in Whistler over the weekend. We were thrilled with what we found. The cabin was clean and modern with the best-stocked kitchen I've ever found in a VRBO property - plenty of dishes and utensils, as well as a beautiful gas stove and large bbq on the deck. The beds were all comfortable and the bathrooms are delightful. There was plenty of room around the large dining table to feed our group of 12+ and the outdoor hot tub was a treat for our tired muscles. We will definitely stay here again and would recommend this property to anyone with a large group needing a nice place in Whistler to call home for a few nights or more. The owners were easy to work with and promptly responded to all of our inquiries. A great stay.

Great base for hiking or skiing

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 6 guys found every possible amenity we could have wanted in the house, with the fixtures nicely updated. Please note that the 6th bedroom, containing multiple bunk beds, does not have a door that closes it off. Tennis courts are a short walk away and it only takes a few minutes to drive to Whistler village and any shopping. The owners were anxious to accommodate their guests. In late May it was pleasantly warm in the valley, but any reasonably tall mountain was still covered with snow; hiking at any significant altitude still required showshoes. Of course, this meant that the Blackcomb Mountain ski resort was still in full operation. Overall our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

One of Many

  • 4 of 5

This was a very nice property and had all of the amenities of home, plus some! It was clean and well maintained. With 5 couples in our travel party, each couple was able to enjoy the privacy of their own bedroom. In addition, the owners provided plenty of numbers at which to reach them in case of problems. The location was in a great, quiet, neighborhood away from the village area, but close enough to get there, and to other areas, within a few minutes. We did rent 2 vehicles to travel from Vancouver and were able to get around the area with them. We found a great little restaurant at the turn off to the neighborhood (Hwy. 99 and Alpine Way) that prepared some wonderful Italian dishes! The only negative to this property is that you had to climb a lot of stairs to get into the property (41) and then all of the bedrooms, except one, was upstairs. It was a tough climb with luggage!
