The barn was spacious like a large studio downstairs and clean with a well-stocked kitchen. Short walk up a hill to bring our stuff from the car. Places to leave our bikes and kayaks Two twin beds served as couches/beds(great room darkening curtains) and there were 2 comfortable chairs for reading. Fresh cut field flowers, a head of organic lettuce in the fridge and a nice jar of their honey welcomed us as we walked in. Lots of great lighting in the evening. Reliable strong internet connection. Excellent hot water in the outdoor shower and the occasional shower we took indoors. We loved having our coffee in the morning and wine in the evening on the spacious deck. Charcoal was supplied for the Weber Grill. You are in the country, it’s so relaxing and you can hear the birds in the many trees surrounding the property. We biked a little over a mile to a town oceanside beach, just down the road. Dilys and Pete are very hardworking farmers and were very responsive and helpful. They made themselves available for questions during their many jaunts over to the gardens, greenhouse or to deliver vegetables to local restaurants. Their vegetable stand is just down the short grassy driveway and fun to watch customers come and go. Truro has many beaches and fun places to visit. We loved our stay and plan to return next year!!
Dear Mary and Bill,

We stayed at the barn for one week in June and loved it, it certainly isn't the Ritz but it has charm beyond compare. The barn itself is spacious, very well equipped and in a great quiet location. Our hosts Dilys and Peter were very attentive but not intrusive. It was one of the most unique places that we have stayed and would certainly not hesitate to return. Dilys and Peter, thanks for everything.
Dear Mark and Lisa,
Thank you for your thoughtful review of our barn. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and appreciated its uniqueness. We hope to see you again if and when you return to America!

A lovely outer cape experience!
My girlfriend and I loved our one-week stay in the barn on Longnook Farm.
The premises were beautiful. There's something cool about staying on an organic farm. We had loads of veggies at the end of our driveway. The property is a short bike ride away from Longnook Beach (and Ballston Beach, if you know the back roads), and about 15 minutes away from Provincetown if one wishes to partake in that craziness. You can always retreat to the peace and quiet of Longnook Road.
The barn itself was rustic and quirky, but it was very well maintained and had tons of style (and surprisingly fast high-speed internet).
Dilys and Peter were warm and wonderful hosts and were full of useful information about the area that only locals would know. Perhaps next year, we'll get to that whale watch!
Dear Mark and Alex,
Thank you for your honest and heartfelt review of our barn-yes, rustic and quirky, but hopefully a peaceful respite for all who visit here. So glad you enjoyed your stay and see you next year!

Cape Cod the way I remember it!
If you're looking for central-air, flat-screen TV's, a Jacuzzi and nightlife, stay at home! If you're looking for a place to boil-up some lobsters, curl up with a good book and be content with the sounds of chirping birds and crickets, The Barn is the place for you. It's clean, cheery, simple and has great character. Most of my Summers have been spent in Truro, as a boy, and then with my children, fishing from its beaches, swimming in the Ocean, Bay and Kettle Ponds, wandering aimlessly at low-tide and riding my bike. The Barn is located on one of the most beautiful roads you'll ever see, leading to one of the most exquisite beaches in the world. And, if by chance, you get the need for some "nightlife," Provincetown is a fifteen minute drive.
Thanks for this oh so accurate review of our barn. So glad it reminds you of the Cape the way you remember it, the way it used to be. We also love that so little has changed and are so grateful for that!
Really special place!
My family has rented the Barn these last 5 years. We love the energy of the space. The light, the hammock, the deck where we entertain and cook out. It is a bonus to have the best local organic vegetables just down below waiting for you. It is also the very best location if you are like me and want to run down to the ocean first thing in the morning. The Wifi is excellent and the loft doesn't get too hot because of the exit fan. It is a wonderful Cape rental.
Thank you so much for this lovely and heartfelt review of our barn. We love having you on the premises as we know you appreciate it and love this beautiful place as as much as we do!
Great spot for a young family's beach vacation
Our family had a wonderful stay at the barn. We took a one week vacation with our 6 and 8 year old daughters. The accommodations were just perfect for the kids. It has an old English garden cottage feel. We slept up in the loft while the kids slept on the daybeds. The first floor is all open which was a big plus for our family. The inside is rustic, but very cozy and comfortable.
Other amenities include a deck with a grill. The outdoor shower was a lot of fun. We never showered inside. In addition, the girls loved the hammock. A plus is the farm stand at the end of the driveway. We ate fresh salads every night. Internet did not come in very well in the barn, but just outside by the outdoor shower it came in. This worked well for us. We'd look up things to do or places to go, but weren't constantly checking. So this was a plus for us.
The barn is a mile and a half from Longnook beach. Longnook is beautiful, but the water is colder and the waves bigger. We headed to Corn Hill beach on the bay side. That was perfect for our kids, and also gorgeous with views of Provincetown. We had bought a week parking pass for Truro beaches for $60. It's a worthy investment for a family. There are a number of Truro beaches. Additionally, we headed to Provincetown a few times during the week. That was just a quick drive up route 6.
Overall, the barn made for a great spot for our family vacation. We plan on returning!
Awesome, thank you for your wonderful review, see you next summer!
Dilys and Peter!
10 miles from Provincetown, the very tip of Cape Cod, one mile from breathtakingly beautiful Longnook ocean beach and one mile from Cape Cod Bay. Situated on a 10 acre farm with flower and organic vegetables to delight.
