Why Chuck French chose Jacksboro
We bought this lake house because Lake Norris is the most beautiful lake in the WORLD! We also bought it so that we could create and cultivate wonderful memories with our children, family, extended family, and friends! The waters are the most beautiful boating waters around! The marina's are so clean and well equipped. The trees are stunning around the fresh clear water on Norris Lake. Our family memories continue to grow at this wonderful home on the lake.

Fun at norris lake!
My husband & I and our 2 grown daughters, my son in law and 2 grandchildren (ages 3 and 3 months) went fir a 5 night stay at this clean beautiful cabin. We enjoyed our stay so much. The owner was very prompt in any questions we had or issues. We rented a pontoon boat from Whitman marina and had the best time!!
Thank you for sharing your house with my family. We were very grateful for the basket of snacks left for us and a bag of ice. The grandkids enjoyed the hot tub and swimming in the lake. I have to say the lake is absolutely beautiful! We had rainy days but filled our time with family games of fun. Owner was quick to respond if needed.
Steps- ALOT OF THEM!
I rented this cabin for an all girls trip. All the girls in the group were in good physical shape. It's a good thing too, because the amount of steps it took to get from the cabin to the floating dock at the lake were considerable. It was necessary to take everything that was needed in one trip, as there are so many steps, you wouldn't want to do multiple trips up/down steps in one day. Carrying food, drinks and lake supplies was challenging. I would not recommend small children that would require a parent carrying the child up/down these steps as this would be challenging for the parent and dangerous, as steps are slippery when wet! I would not recommend older people for this stay either due to the steps- there are 265 steps total (one-way), on a steep incline. We had two falls during our stay, luckily just bumps and bruises as a take away. As for the cabin, it's very clean and accommodating. The lake is GORGEOUS and the floating deck is awesome!! The double decker accommodates rain or shine as you can take cover down below should u get rain. A FUN TRIP! REMEMBER!! THE STEPS ARE NO JOKE!!
Great getaway for the holidays!
We loved this cabin. It was me, my hubby and my 4 almost grown kids. We were greeted with a happy thanksgiving note with homemade pumpkin pie and snacks. These were so necessary as the store was 30 minutes away. It was so good to get away from the world and responsibilities. There were many games, great WiFi, and many comfy pillows and blankets. I loved the porch swing. Kids slept downstairs and were a bit cold. A nice space heater may have been helpful. The hot tub was fabulous! We cooked an entire thanksgiving meal efficiently in the kitchen. Everything was in working condition. The water pressure in the bathroom is great. The steps to the lake were exciting. We needed the exercise. The lake and dock are beautiful ! I hope we can return in the summer. Our 2 large dogs loved the place as well. The owner is super friendly and helpful and available. Thank you thank you thank you for sharing your place with us. !!
We had a great time! House was cozy and had everything we needed! The steps are a little challenging at times but it’s worth it! Great little cove that is pretty private!
Beautiful area..awesome deck and cove to hangout and relax.
Very relaxing..rented a pontoon and kept it at the house dock ..toured most of the lake and stopped at most of the marinas..had a great time.
You can use this home as a 'hub' for multiple houseboats. Use the dock to cater events! BBQ ribs on the dock! Grill on the dock-- we have also rented several houseboats and used the house, and the dock for the perfect family reunion. Ask us how and we will help you coordinate such an event! From getting the houseboats to the cove ...to provisioning them.
