Gruene River Guest House sits on 2 beautiful acres on the Guadalupe River. The property is 1 mile from the shops, restaurants and 'toobing' businesses in the historical hamlet of Gruene, Texas.
With 2 acres and 130 feet of waterfront, the relaxation never ends.
Bring your fishing pole, your golf clubs, and a good book. Enjoy a picnic by the river, or a nap in a hammock under a shade tree.
If you enjoy live music, the property is 1 mile from Gruene Hall.
Landa Golf Course is a 5 minute drive.
If you enjoy the many water activities offered on the Guadalupe River, you can enter upstream using one of the shuttle services, and exit the river on the Gruene River Guest House waterfront.

The house is over 3000 sq. ft., with 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. This is not a 'run of the mill' house, while all the rooms are under one roof, there are NO interior connecting hallways. Each of the 4 areas has it's own separate entrance, this allows for more privacy for everyone. It's a great set up for family reunions or a large group of friends spending a vacation together.
The Texas Room has 1 queen size bed, a sofa, TV, kitchenette and bathroom.
The Farm House has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, living area, TV, dining area table with 8 chairs, full kitchen, laundry room and indoor sun porch. Each of the 2 bedrooms has 1 queen size bed and a TV.
The Garden Room has 2 queen size beds, TV, small sofa, kitchenette and a bathroom.
The Paris Hotel is 800 sq. ft. with 4 queen size beds, a queen sofa sleeper, TV, a table with 6 chairs, kitchenette and a bathroom.
All bedding and towels are furnished.
The Blue Moon Cantina: Our fabulous outdoor kitchen is called 'The Blue Moon Cantina'.
The Cantina is adjacent to the swimming pool and has a 42' gas grill, 2 gas burners, a griddle, sink, refrigeration, a commercial ice maker and flat screen TV. In the area between the cantina and the pool there are 5 tables and approximately 20 chairs.
We love this area, and spent years searching for a waterfront property near Gruene... we are so blessed!!! It's an amazing place to live!!!
We celebrated my parent's 50th wedding anniversary at Gruene River Guest House from June 13-20, 2012. It is such a beautiful house - more spacious, modern, and comfortable than even the photos show. Our group of 15 (ages 6-72) were perfectly happy there. Thank you, Cate and Gary!
We had my daughters wedding reception at this property. It was perfect. The house is spacious and comfortable. It has the most wonderful outdoor kitchen where we had the grooms dinner. The owners were friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful experience for us! The photos just don't do it justice. I would recommend this property for any number of occasions. I plan to return as often as I can! It is a great location--close to everything!
Really cannot say enough good things about this house. The website doesn't it do it justice for its size, comfort and ability to accommodate large groups comfortably. Every room had a tv and most even have their own fridges. Bathrooms are very modern. The cantina is fantastic. A real great gathering place. Cate is a wonderful host but the house was so well equipped we really lacked for nothing. Its a great location, right on river and close to town.
Our house is in a unique location, in the city, but with a country feel. The house sits on 2 acres with 130 ft of Guadalupe River frontage.

We have a separate unpublished Rate for Weddings and Events. If you are planning a wedding, family reunion involving more than 20 people, a corporate 'event' or any other event involving more guests than the allowable 20 overnight guests, the rental price goes up.
We accept credit card payments only, we will never ask you to wire transfer money to any foreign bank!
50% is due at booking, the balance is due 60 days before occupancy. Tenant is required to purchase the CSA Damage Protection Plan prior to completing the reservation.
