For family and friends, a home far from home
Enjoy a Tuscan retreat that’s both quiet and secluded and convenient to the region’s cities at Villa Vianci. Originally built as a summer mansion where noble families could escape the heat, the restored seven-bedroom property offers an escape from the pressures of modern life without sacrificing modern conveniences. Located just off the highway between Florence and Siena outside the town of Staggia Senese, it’s in the center of Tuscany without being in the thick of things.
The elegant three-story home is approached through a gated courtyard and surrounded by vineyards and cypress groves. There’s a pool with outdoor shower as well as a charcoal barbecue, outdoor dining area and plenty of lounge chairs for sunbathing. Thanks to the recent restoration, the interiors are air-conditioned and have Wi-Fi access. The property’s caretakers live on the premises, making it easy to get assistance if needed.
The living areas of Villa Vianci prove that stately spaces can be comfortable, too. In the sitting rooms, terrazzo floors covered by Persian rugs, paneled walls and original moldings create an elegant envelope that’s filled by traditional-style wooden furniture and plush sofas pulled up to a fireplace. The formal dining room continues the theme with cool mint-green walls and antique sideboards. The kitchen, however, is fresh and modern, with white cabinets, black and white tile floors and marble countertops.
Each of the villa’s seven bedrooms has air conditioning but is just as elegantly decorated as the property’s common spaces. There are five bedrooms with queen beds, each of which has its own en-suite bathroom. The remaining two bedrooms share a bathroom; one has two twin beds, and the other has two twin beds that can be converted into a queen bed.
Villa Vianci is set on a hilltop outside the ancient town of of Staggia Senese. From the villa, it’s just over a mile to the town’s church, restaurant, tennis court and grocery store. The Castellina Scalo train station is about 2 miles away and the Colle Val d’Elsa golf course is 5 miles away. There’s a beach 48 miles away, and a ski area 85 miles away. The cities of Siena and Florence are 10 and 28 miles away, respectively.Villa Vianci has a vantage position on a hill overlooking the medieval town of Monteriggioni
Recently subjected to an attentive renovation which has enhanced the charm of the Tuscan villa without altering its original structure, Villa Vianci is today an ideal place to enjoy a pleasant and exclusive stay under the Tuscan sun and from which to visit the most important historical and cultural cities of the area.
Its position in the center of Tuscany, easily reachable from Rome, Florence and Pisa airports, makes Villa Vianci the perfect location from which to enjoy all of Tuscany, from following wine roads, touring cultural and artistic sites and tasting the good Tuscan cuisine in many traditional villages of the area.

About Tommaso Puccioni
Ciao! We are Chiara and Tommaso, a young couple that a few years back decided to leave the splendid Florence behind in search of old roots and new adventures. We both forever loved the Tuscan countryside so decided to take grab the opportunity of taking care of the old family villa built in the 18th century, remodeling and modernizing it so that we could welcome travelers from near and afar. Seeing the happiness and pleasure our guests enjoy as they stay at Villa Vianci has only strengthened our resolve to continue along this road, to continually seek new ideas and ways of improving our hospitality. We get excited with the idea that the villa can offer both modern comforts at the same time as making our guests “travel back in time” to a period in which life's rhythms were a bit more calm and respectful of the beauty of our land. We look to sharing this with you!

Unless you regularly stay in 18th Century Italian villas, this wonderful home will absolutely amaze you. My wife and I, and three other couples, spent five glorious nights at Villa Vianci in April 2018. Our jaws dropped as Tomasso gave us a tour when we arrived. Everything about Villa Vianci is breath taking.
The beds and accommodations are first rate, the views and grounds are lovely, and the location is fantastic.
Tomasso and Chiara are perfect hosts, and Chiara is phenomenal cook. For a very reasonable cost she cooked a four-course Italian meal for us that was to die for. The dinner included wine and dessert liquors, and Chiara accommodated my need to be gluten free. The dinner was one I will never forget.
We recommend Villa Vianci wholeheartedly!
Fantastic. Superb location, attention and amenities
We were a party of 12, half adults and children. Every room in te Villa is well furnished with good taste. Bed rooms very confort and enough space. Tomasso and Chiara are the best hostages. I strongly recommend the Villa to stay one week or longer. Hope we’ll come back in the future. I
Villa Vianci's central location within this context provides the opportunity to visit and come into close contact with this rich and varied area of Tuscany. We're immersed in the countryside between Florence and Siena so the main roads are well-connected to the villa, and this permits easy day tours to both of these two cities as well as to Pisa, Lucca and Arezzo. From the terrace of the villa, you can admire the beautiful medieval castle walls that surround the village of Monteriggioni with its fourteen towers that stick out high into the air. A pleasant walking on the "Strade Bianche" (unpaved back roads) that run among the olive groves of the villa, will allow you to enjoy the view the village of San Gimignano, with its thirteen medieval towers that overlook the valley and mark the skyline of the town. Walking straight on the path the way you can arrive to the impressive Fortress of Staggia. For those who want to go off exploring off the main roads and find striking scenic views, a must is a drive to and visit of Volterra. A unique town which combines Etruscan, Roman and Medieval buildings in a single context. For bikers and hikers, close to the villa and to the natural park of the Montagnola, passes the ancient Via Francigena, along which you can visit the millenary Romanesque complex of Abbadia a Isola. Wine lovers have to absolutely follow the wine roads of the Chianti Classico area, with a visit to the new Cantina Antinori, and in the rich wine areas of Montepulciano and Montalcino. In the nearby it is possible to find outdoor activities of any sort: horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking. For those who want to play golf, we recommend the Abbadia Golf Club, just 8 Km from the villa. This offers a 6-hole path from where you can enjoy a splendid view of Colle Val d'Elsa and San Gimignano. Tennis fans can find, just 2 Km walkable distance from the villa, the Tennis Club in the town of Staggia Senese which offers the chance to play in a covered or open field beneath the magnificent view the castle Rocca di Staggia. For anyone wishing to enjoy some time relaxing in thermal springs, we suggest the Terme di Petriolo which offer both a free, outdoor area and a fully-equipped indoor SPA center (with many services, including massages).
