Creekside Mountain Log Cabin Home

Bedrooms 2
Space 1,700 sq. ft.
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

This is a beautiful, Non-Smoking, log cabin home on an acre of land, situated on a rushing creek with several waterfalls right outside the door. The lot is wooded and sits at about 4200 feet elevation. It feels very private, yet is only five minutes from the main road.

There is a large covered porch running the length of the cabin overlooking the creek, with a six-person hot tub on one end. In the yard is a picnic table and steps down to the creek. The furniture is plush and comfortable, and with a woodburning fireplace and satellite television, there isn't a more cozy place.

You'll be only fifteen minutes from the quaint town of Maggie Valley, where there are several wonderful restaurants and lots of craft and gift shops, as well as gorgeous mountain views. Going the opposite direction takes you into Cherokee in about ten minutes, with gambling casinos and tourist attractions, or you can take a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. In 20 minutes you can be on Main Street in Waynesville, with restaurants and shopping galore. Asheville is just 45 minutes away, and Gatlinburg, Tennessee only an hour or so.

But if you are like us, you won't want to leave the cabin! Everyone falls in love with the place. There isn't a greater get-away than the Great Smoky Mountains, and this is the perfect spot to enjoy them! (3 night minimum)

4x4 is required during the winter time, if a lot of snow. The cabin is located 4200 feet up the mountain on a hard packed gravel road (always check the weather).

Perfect for a ski weekend with family

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at this adorable house with our two grown sons. The place had everything we needed except food and the hot tub was perfect after a cold day on the slopes of Cataloochie, which was only a few mikes away. The kitchen was adiquate to cook In and there was plenty of firewood for a roaring fire. We would definitely come back and stay again!

Fantastic Home Highly Recommend It !

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at this lovely home with a friend and our children. We highly recommend this home. The place is immaculate which is important to most of us. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The home is spacious and the outside is very relaxing. We can't wait to come back and spend more time here. Great place to stay for adults only as well.

Ocala FL

It was a perfect "cabin in the mountains" experience!

  • 5 of 5

We came to Maggie Valley to have an early Christmas celebration with our girls plus a vacation from work and it was lovely! We arrived on a Saturday evening after driving all day from Ocala, FL. It was raining and cold and it gets dark a lot earlier than in FL so we just unpacked the car and drove into Maggie Valley looking for dinner. We found Snappy's Italian restaurant and it was delicious, we definitely recommend the homemade peanut butter pie, yum! The next day we went to Waynesville for groceries then we spent a week just reading, watching movies, putting a 1000 piece puzzle together and we cooked and ate lots of meals in the kitchen. My favorite thing was the water!! It was so cold, fresh and tasted amazing right out of the tap! We went for long walks in every direction on every road,( we even found Ocala Rd)( and a mountain carwash!) explored the creek and drove the area for the sights. We brought our dogs, spent time with our girls and their husbands and took many pictures to remember it all! Thank you Robbie Goss for sharing your cabin with us! Thank you Kathy Brown for all the help and answered questions! We will be coming back to NC in the summer as our youngest daughter lives there and is expecting our first grandchild in June 2017 so hope to visit again soon!
