Overview

Twinbrook Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

This is a beautiful, Non-Smoking, log cabin home on an acre of land, situated on a rushing creek with several waterfalls right outside the door. The lot is wooded and sits at about 4000 feet elevation. It feels very private, yet is only five minutes from the main road.

There is a large covered porch running the length of the cabin overlooking the creek, with a six-person hot tub on one end. In the yard is a picnic table and steps down to the creek. The furniture is plush and comfortable, and with a woodburning fireplace and satellite television, there isn't a more cozy place.

You'll be only fifteen minutes from the quaint town of Maggie Valley, where there are several wonderful restaurants and lots of craft and gift shops, as well as gorgeous mountain views. Going the opposite direction takes you into Cherokee in about ten minutes, with gambling casinos and tourist attractions, or you can take a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. In 20 minutes you can be on Main Street in Waynesville, with restaurants and shopping galore. Asheville is just 45 minutes away, and Gatlinburg, Tennessee only an hour or so.

But if you are like us, you won't want to leave the cabin! Everyone falls in love with the place. There isn't a greater get-away than the Great Smoky Mountains, and this is the perfect spot to enjoy them!

Amazing creek!

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at this creek side cabin! We were lucky enough to have our 7 month grandson with us! He loved putting his feet in the creek!! We all enjoyed the cool mornings and nights on the covered porch! Would recommend another rocking chair for the porch...I was very concerned about the cabin not having central air...we only had to turn the upstairs window unit on once during a warm day...but didn't have to run it long at all...it would have been perfect if the tv in the living room had been updated to a flat screen and would have loved tv's in the bedrooms....the driveway is a bit tricky coming off of SoCo road...very sharp turn into the driveway...we ended up backing in each time and were pros by the end of the week...once in the driveway, there is plenty of room to turn around to head out...we really enjoyed the hot tub, especially on those cool nights! We did have a little visitor in the cabin, he had a sweet tooth and ate part of a chocolate bar that was not opened yet...we managed to catch him though, so hopefully he doesn't have friends....all and all, it was a great trip! Love the location as we wanted Maggie Valley and Cherokee at our fingertips and we were right between them! I only wish they would top the trees so you could see the amazing view that was popping through the trees, just waiting to be admired. I assume they keep the wooded look to hide SoCo road....it did get a little loud a few times from all the motorcycles, but wasn't a problem at all! There was a motorcycle run that week, and we enjoyed seeing all the bikes....If you get a chance, visit BearMeats store in one of the Curves heading to Cherokee....great handmade things!!! Everyone, and I mean everyone in Maggie Valley are the most friendliest people on earth! That was very refreshing!!! Thanks for sharing your little slice of Heaven with me and my family!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your comments. We have thought about topping the trees, but, before the privacy and the sound buffer (plus it is extremely expensive to do that). Also, we did try to put TV's in the bedrooms, but, we cannot get any service for the other rooms, only the living room. But, we do have plans to put a flat screen tv there. Thank you again and hope you return soon. The Owners

You will not be disappointed

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at the cabin Christmas week and had a wonderful time. The cabin is very nice with a creek next to it, it is so relaxing to sit in the hot tub and listen to the water. We also had a white Christmas as it snowed that morning. Location is very easy too get to and very quiet. Will be back next year.

A relaxing & pleasant stay!

  • 5 of 5

Had a wonderful girl's weekend at this cabin. Everything was as stated, very clean and neat. The porch was very relaxing with a nice view of the stream. It was nice to have wifi to stay connected. The fireplace and hot tub were both very enjoyable. It was easy to find and close to Maggie Valley and Cherokee. The owner is very pleasant and easy to work with. I hope to make this a yearly event at this cabin.........a special place indeed!

Awesome

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is a wonderful retreat and a great place to relax. Sitting on the porch listening to the stream is fantastic. The cabin is very well maintained and we enjoyed being able to stay connected with home via the WiFi. The kitchen has everything needed for great meals, and the rooms were comfortable. The hot tub on the porch was a great place to spend the evening. The cabin is close to Maggie Valley shops and restaurants. Joey's Pancakes are the best ever!

Perfect place for family ski vacation

  • 5 of 5

We loved the lay-out of this cabin. The views were spectacular. And the rushing creek out front was relaxing and enjoyable to hear while warming in the jacuzzi on a cold winter day. Only a 10 minute drive to the slopes and 5 minutes to town. Owner is very friendly and easy to work with. Our family loved this cabin and it's location! It was a perfect holiday vacation with our family. We would love to come back in Spring/Summer or Fall to experience a different season. And if we ever do another holiday/ski vacation, it will be here!

Great time

  • 4 of 5

Thanks for sharing your home with us. We had a wonderful time even though it seemed like it was monsoon season. Everything was just like home. The grandchildren both had a good time playing inside. Every time we left the four year old wanted to go back to his cabin. Our daughter had an adventure crossing the creek during a flood warning. All in all we had a great time.
