About Fountain Hills:
1. Although the Town of Fountain Hills and the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation are only 23 miles northeast of Phoenix, it feels as if they are a world away. The communities are only 30 minutes from Sky Harbor International Airport and big-city amenities like sports arenas, but they are separated from the hustle of Scottsdale and the metro area by the scenic McDowell Mountains.
2 The Fountain Hills area is wreathed by majestic mountains, draped in the unique vegetation of the Sonoran Desert and blessed with panoramic views. The saguaro-studded landscape provides a scenic venue for a wide range of outdoor activities such as golfing, hiking, biking, bird watching and boating.
3. Fountain Hills has become known as an artist’s community. Sculptures, water features and other works of art adorn the Community Center, the Avenue of the Fountains and public places. Twice a year, The Great Fair and the Fountain Festival of Arts and Crafts attract hundreds of thousands of art lovers to the downtown area. Galleries and small shops make it easy for shoppers to find their own art year round. And, the award-winning Fountain Hills Community Theater is one of Arizona’s leading performing arts organizations.

This was a trip for medical reasons and it was very easy to access going to Mayo Clinic daily. It was an easy drive with our rental car from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. There is convenient shopping just a couple of blocks from the condo to be able to purchase anything that you need for while you are there. There are also places close to dine out.
It was great to come back to this extremely comfortable condo with all the amenities that it included. The kitchen had all the “extras” that were a plus and was very nice. The entire condo was lovely and we felt at home while we were there. We didn’t get to enjoy the pool or hot tub but did get to visit with other people there that were enjoying both and they assured us said it was awesome. The condo was away from the street and very quiet. We felt very safe and secure. Jill was very considerate to help us with all of our needs and very, very nice to help us with our many questions. Fountain Hills is a very nice place. I have rented from VRBO all over the country and in Mexico and I would highly recommend this unit.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 25-day stay in this unit. All the amenities in this condo made for a very comfortable stay. It has a well-equipped modern kitchen, a very comfortable king sized bed and relaxing reclining living room furniture. We always looked forward to coming "home" after a day of golfing or sightseeing and relaxing in the hot tub. The pool and hot tub are only steps from the unit. Being able to BBQ just outside our patio was also a bonus. The owners, Jill & Tom were very accommodating and easily reached. We would recommend this unit. Fountain Hills is a beautiful place to stay.
This condo was a definate home away from home. The location and tastful decorations made me feel at home. Every thing that you could possibly want was provided. The neighbors were wonderful and made us feel at home from the start. This is a fantastic place to stay, I just wish I would have rented it for next year. Jill and Tom you have a gem here in Fountain Hills.
We stayed at this Fountain Hills Charmer recently and it was all and more than we expected.
Very well maintained, clean and comfortable, close to the pool, it was nice to get up in the morning and walk right into the pool for a swim. All the amenities and more. Hosts very helpful in answering questions about property and attractions and we felt comfortable in our conversations.
A nice welcome surprise awaits you upon arrival. The Fountain was really something to see. Would definitely recommend this property.
We stayed for a week and we loved the condo and the community. The condo unit is located next to the pool and if you get up early enough you can see the javelinas. I was up early (4:30 a.m., still on east coast time) one morning in the jacuzzi and seven javelinas (wild pigs) came walking up. The condo is located within a few minutes of several good golf courses and I played Desert Canyon and Eagle Mountain.
The owners were very accomodating and very helpful and the condo had everything we needed for the week and there was a grill right behind the balcony. Some good restaurants in Fountain Hills were the Euro, The American Grill (eating area overlooking the fountain) and the Vu, (overlooking Eagle Mountain Golf Course.)
We plan on going back soon and we want to raft the Salt River (about 20 - 30 minutes away) next time.
We recommend choosing Fountain Hills to vacation. This property was charming. It was close to everything you want to see and do in the town. Its situated close to 3 golf courses, lots of shopping, Lake Saguaro for boating and nature trails and 10 minutes to Scottsdale. The condo was quiet and furnished really nicely with all the luxuries you'd hope for including reclining leather furniture, a big screen TV, cozy patio with a view to the heated pool and a few steps to the clubhouse and fitness centre. We enjoyed scenic walks downtown and around the lake and fountain. Great restaurants to visit near by too. Try eating at The American Grill and watch the fountain go off, Euro Pizza has great Italian, Saddle Bronc Bar and Grill is great for BBQ and evening entertainment, and the La Scala Creamery for the best Gelato or Green Tea anywhere. Everyone in town gives you the best service too.
We really appreciated the welcome gift too.
