The Coastal Cottage is a recently restored 1927 two-story charmer with great ocean views and tile and hardwood floors through out. There is a Serta King in bedroom 1 and a Serta Queen in bedroom 2. The upstairs bathroom has a tub and shower while the downstairs bathroom has a large walk-in shower, which feels great after a day at the beach. Sit on the huge front porch and enjoy the sights and sounds along A1A or just relax and watch the ocean. The entire property is fenced with gated off-street parking and plenty of room for your bikes and trailer. The shaded backyard is very private with a wooden deck, outdoor shower, grill and is a National Wildlife Federation certified Wildlife Habitat. The bus stop is a few steps away and beach access is directly across the street. Beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards are free to use. The full kitchen has everything to cook up a feast and coffee is complimentary.
We loved our stay at the cottage. Everything was lovely. The Kitchen was stocked with the breakfast essentials such as bread, butter, pancake mix and coffee. Lots of beach supplies and nice front porch. Lots of things to do within walking distance and the beach is right across the street. We'll be recommending the cottage to our friends and family for their next Florida vacation.
What a wonderful home. It is everything stated on the website and more. The owners are kind, helpful and just plain fabulous. Though the weather was stormy while we were there staying at the cottage provided a comfortable place to sit out the rain with plenty of movies, books, games, and puzzles to keep us entertained. The house was clean and well stocked with all the essentials. I highly recommend the cottage to anyone who is traveling to the Daytona Beach area. There is plenty of recreation within walking distance.
This was our 1st. time to visit DaytonaBeach,Florida. My daughter actually found this house for us,she loved the outside paint job(it's very cute).Last year we went to MyrtleBeach,South Carolina(This year we up-graded).This being my 2nd. time to ever go on vacation after being married 34 years and never having had a honeymoon,I was very nervous to travel so far away from home(Columbus,Ohio)and affraid of what could happen(I watch way too many Lifetime movies).Anyway we arrived very tired because we drove straight through from home to get there, and we were very pleased to find a "cool" house waiting for us(litterally) the air conditioning and ceiling fans were on inside the house which was inviting to us after such a long drive. The inside is just as cute as the outside. We chose to grocery shop so we could cook most of our meals at home, and we used the grill provided out in the backyard as well.We found everything we needed in this house, just like home.It is a very quiet, roomy, comfortable place to stay, and it has a great view of the beach from both the bedrooms.I liked to watch the T.V. in the diningroom every, morning while having my breakfast, and we could be on the beach in 5minutes!!! It has a big wrap-around porch, which I took advantage of in the evenings to do something I haven't done in a while,READ A BOOK. Everything is clean and well maintained in the house, and the beds are >verrry comfy<, and there are walk-in closets in the bedrooms .It is a very spacious house, very well decorated, bathrooms very "cute" also. We were very close to shops to get our souvenirs, as well as restaurants(I ate the best cheeseburger I've ever had at a place called "Kerr's Winghouse"), and my daughter who is 23,got to swim with the Dolphins at Marineland(which was a life long dream of hers). We got very sunburned, and loved it!!! We were very sad when our time to leave came, but we knew reality awaited us. While we were here, this was our home.I even had a man walking down the sidewalk tell me that I had a nice house,I just said "Thank You". We made memories here that we took home with us, and we will never forget. We would definately return here in the future, and recommend this house to anyone who wants to experience a vacation with one less thing to worry about, where to stay. It was well worth what we paid for it,we paid the same for a small, dinky house last year at MyrtleBeach, this place was double the size, and even the gas and shopping was cheaper here.
Extremely clean and well stocked cottage! Close to everything, we walked most of the time! Beautiful beach across the street. Way better than any hotel!!Don't miss this.
WOW What a Great find! My family enjoyed this wonderful cottage and couldn't have asked for anything more. It was very clean and we were only a short walk away from the beach. The owners Rich and Mary were very friendly and acommodating. This is the perfect place to stay in Daytona Beach, Fl. On the last day it was hard to leave, we wanted to stay another week. If we happen to need a place to stay in Daytona Beach, we will most deffinatley check with Rich and Mary first. Thanks for providing a great vacation retreat.
we stayed at this cottage from 4/30-5/07. i cannot say enough good about our vacation. not only are you across the street from the beach, but close to lots of great restaurants, too. the owners, mary and rich, made us feel right at home. the home has everything you need, and was super clean. we have stayed in many rental homes and this was by far the absolute best! you can walk to the beach, walk to stores and restaurants, and best of all walk on the beach in the evening. we're from the "jersey shore" and we know beaches. daytona beach has us beat! if you want to stay in daytona beach or anyplace near daytona, we highly recommend this cottage.
