I am an attorney in the Napa Valley area of California.
Jon Hollister purchased this house in 2009
The Monterey area is full of attractions and is a great place to visit. There is something for everyone, including small children and older adults. We use the home as our vacation home as well.
The house is very easy to get to off the freeway, and is very close to the Marina State Beach. There is plenty of retail shopping nearby, and you can get to all of the great attractions around the Monterey Bay very easily. The house itself sits on a quiet cul-de-sac and is very spacious with 4 bedrooms. The whole house has been upgraded and the kitchen was recently remodeled. The fireplace is great in the mornings and evenings. We have cable TV. No internet network. Bring your own wi-fi to connect to internet. Nice to have washer and dryer on vacation.
When planning a vacation to Monterey I was surprised to see Monterey and Carmel VRBO home prices. In this economy, who can afford so much $ each night and no pets? We were thrilled to find this house so close to Monterey which was much more economical. The neighborhood isn't Bel Air yet was very quiet and peaceful. So close to the main highway - literally 5 mins to Monterey. The house was clean and light/airy and working with the owner was a breeze. He always returned emails/calls promptly and was so eager to please. The kitchen was great and is well stocked for cooking - saving more $ than eating out each meal and it's very close to Starbucks and Walmart. The lay out for the house is great esp if you have children who need to move around. For the same price of 2 hotel rooms that we would've needed, we got a cozy house with a plenty of room to move around, a place to have our pets with us, a good area for long walks, no fighting for close parking spaces like we would at a hotel, a great washer and dryer for our clothes, and comfortable couch to kick back and watch tv. If your dog has longer hair don't forget a dog comb for the stickers which are prevelent in the back yard and in the scrub brush on the outskirts of the beaches.
House is very close to Marina State Beach, short drive to Monterey Bay Aquarium, Pebble Beach, Cannery Row, Wharf, Harbor, CSUMB, Naval Postgraduate, Carmel, Beaches, Laguna Seca and all other Monterey Bay attractions. Yard is fenced and great for pets.
