Our five night stay was wonderful in every aspect. The apartment was far superior to staying at our usual hotel which would have cost the same price. The interior design is cheerful; the rooms impeccably clean; and the security of the building left no question that we would rest easy. The kitchen is well equipped with upscale appliances, and the dining room has beautiful leather chairs to sit upon and enjoy the view of the back yard. The bed linens are divine, and the closets ample. The study is a quiet refuge with a pull-out single bed which proved to be very comfortable. Around the corner there is a tony bar, a bakery, a grocery store, and a Mexican take-out with sweet seating in the back which my Brooklyn friends insisted we try. The subway is nearby, and catching a cab is easy. Twice I had questions for the management, and both times my inquiries were immediately answered. There is no question we will be staying here again any time we're visiting Brooklyn!

Hustle and bustle of citylife on the outside, sense of calm and quiet on the inside.
Although neighbourhood is close to city hub, the street itself could easily be in Carroll Gardens/Cobble Hill. Pride of ownership evident in the surrounding homes. Grocery store (Brooklyn Fare) in walking distance.
Great suite, great street, great management!
Rather than stay in a small hotel in a busy NYC area, we opted for a more quaint, neighborhood location. And boy did we luck out! This beautiful Brooklyn brownstone apartment was perfect. Getting to the sights in NYC was no problem with a subway station right around the corner. The apartment is exactly as pictured and was very clean. Every amenity was provided. The apartment manager was wonderful. She was quick to answer all emails and calls. The Brownstone is a few blocks away from the movies and local shopping. After visiting the neighborhood Starbucks, we were steps behind Ethan Hawke and his daughter. If you are a foodie, Brooklyn is culinary secret. There are some great restaurants in the area. But if you want to cook a meal, there is a wonderful upscale grocery store right around the corner from the apartment. The apartment's kitchen is spacious, newly renovated, has great appliances and is fully stocked. We had a fantastic time. We love NYC and will visit again and when we do, we will not hesitate to rent this unit.
My husband and I just returned home from a three week stay in this lovely apartment. The apartment was very clean, the check in process was seamless and the pictures and description on the VRBO site are honest and accurate. Because we had great weather during our stay we were able to really enjoy the patio/garden area..... a real treat and one which our family members who live in Brooklyn enjoyed immensely! The location was ideal and we would recommend Brooklyn Fare for groceries and two of our new favorite restaurants on Atlantic Ave are the Colonie and Chez Moi.....great dinner and/or brunch spots. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Brooklyn.
My husband and I stayed in this apartment this month Aug 2013 for 2 weeks. What a wonderful experience it was, coming in from a long Haul flight from Australia not really knowing what to expect. We were greeted by the lovely family upstairs who showed us around then pretty much left us to it which was great , couldn't have been more friendly. The place was amazing, clean with all mod cons. Brooklyn bridge, subway around the corner ,beautiful tree lined street, the flea markets, restaurants,cinema. So much to do, we wish we could have stayed longer.
My husband and I recently stayed in this wonderful apartment. It was exactly as depicted in the photos on this website. The booking agent and on site manager were so accommodating and everything was handled in a highly professional manner. The apartment has a very comfy bed and I in particular loved the kitchen and dining room, as we entertained our family several times. Everything I needed to prepare our meals was on hand and there were even cloth napkins! So I was able to set a beautiful table. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet State Street is during the night as the bedroom is at the front of the apartment. We look forward to returning soon and I can't wait to see the garden in bloom!
The location was wonderful and if you have never been to Brooklyn, you should consider doing so. We became familiar a few years ago when our family moved here and I have to tell you, it only gets better each time we visit. It is an excellent alternative to staying in Manhattan and if you enjoy the theater, there is a TKTS booth just down the street a few blocks and an easy walk to and ride on the A train up to Times Square. There are so many restaurants and shops right down the street. Don't miss Brooklyn Flea on the weekends which is held inside in the winter and outside in the good weather along with several farmers markets in the area. The recently established parks along the East River are nearby and command an excellent view of the Manhattan skyline. A trek over the Brooklyn Bridge is also highly recommended. Also highly recommend Brooklyn Botanical Garden and Prospect Park.

Minimum Stay: 3 nights
Rental Agreement to be signed with a deposit of 50% down to secure the specified dates. A Damage Deposit (separate check) of $1000 to be sent with the initial deposit. The balance is due 2 weeks before the booking date. Personal or business checks will be accepted. If plans change and prospective renter is unable to stay on their secured dates, the deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE.
