This unit offers open floor plan with two bedrooms, two baths on either side, in the middle enjoy the living room, dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. The view of ocean in front, salt flats behind and a bit off to the side is one of the most beautiful beaches in Puerto Rico with its pristine and crystalline waters.Puerto Rico was certainly blessed with the great treasure of beautiful beaches, many which have been ranked among the top 10 in the world. So when you visit Puerto Rico which beaches do you choose to visit? Allow me to introduce you to Cabo Rojo.
Because Cabo Rojo is situated in the southern and most western part of the island, the town is surrounded by gorgeous Caribbean waters. No other town in Puerto Rico offers such a great variety of beaches in one location like Cabo Rojo. You would need at least four days in Cabo Rojo to explore them all. All the beaches in Cabo Rojo are calm, with azure waters and white sand and very family friendly. Some beaches are very quiet, so you may have a spot all to yourself or you can choose to go to one of the beaches with facilities, shopping and dining nearby.
A friend shared this with me, it is a video of the 'faro' enjoy. http://youtu.be/skIZgDPowOM or https://www.facebook.com/CaboRojoPuertoRico/videos/1286014314755978/
We have lived in this quaint town all of our lives. Being born here and after living and working in New York for many years we decided to retire here. We have several properties in this area including where we live which is called a 'Finca' (a farm only with no animals, just our dog, our best friend).
Doris Roman purchased this condo in 2007
Our location is very unique, surrounded by a natural serene and open environment, enjoy the views of the ocean, large sky, best place to enjoy shooting stars, fresh air and sounds of nature. With little chance of rain on the southwest side of the island, the temperature is usually between 75 to 85 degrees. The water temperature is also very warm and pleasant around 80 degrees. What more can I ask for, bird watching, cycling and hiking are things to do after which a swim in the most beautiful crystal blue waters of Playa Sucia also known as La Playuela beach just steps away from the beautiful lighthouse.
Enjoy sitting outside of the unit overlooking the Caribbean waters seeing the sunsets every night or enjoy star gazing. Take walks or bike along the trails which most lead to the ocean.
Just wanted to send off a quick thank you for letting us stay in your place. We had a great time, and Cabo Rojo is by far our favorite place in Puerto Rico. There are a couple of regions that we did not have the opportunity to explore, but I highly doubt they could hold a candle to Cabo Rojo. You are truly very lucky to live in such a beautiful place. I wish you the best in the future, and hope this is the beginning of a wonderful friendship.

Our family stayed at two different locations in Cabo Rojo. As we have never stayed in Cabo Rojo before, we chose two different condos to minimize the risk of a location that did not meet our expectations. While Cabo Rojo was amazing (beaches, restaurants, markets, etc.), this location was the BEST of the two. The condo was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. The grounds were amazing and SO close to the beautiful Playa Sucia and the light house. We spent hours hiking around discovering birds, plants, flowers, and the beautiful views. If you are looking at Cabo Rojo, look no further than here!
This place was amazing and perfect for us. Doris was there to greet us and show us around when we arrived. She was very warm and welcoming. The cross breeze through the unit was so refreshing that we did not need to use the AC. We were literally five minutes away from one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever been to. It could get a bit crowded in the afternoon (especially on weekends) so we would get there early and stay until lunch. We would then return to the unit, make lunch and relax. The kitchen was appointed with all the necessities needed to make simple meals. However, we found several very good restaurants about a 10-15 minute drive in the Combate Beach area. We particularly would recommend Annies Place.
My husband and I will not hesitate to rent this unit from Doris again when we come back!
My boyfriend and I spent 8 nights in this little piece of paradise. We woke up to the roosters crowing every morning and watched the sunrise, we drank coffee on the balcony and never got tired of the view. We never used the air conditioner instead we left the louvers open on the windows and had amazing breezes every single night. The swimming pool was perfect and we had it to ourselves most times. We rented kayaks and went out to the mangroves! This was our second time visiting Puerto Rico and I would recommend getting off the beaten path and don't be afraid to explore. We went to the Cabo Rojo lighthouse and hiked across that area and climbed down a cliff side and sat in a tidepool. La Playuela beach is right next to the lighthouse and a must to visit. The location of the condo was great we took several day trips. We went to Boqueron beach and had drinks at a little bar on the beach and ate fresh fish at Annie's Place in Combate and we rented a boat at La Parguera and snorkeled all day. The locals treated us with respect and we felt right at home. We visited a fish monger in Combate and purchased fresh lobster and yellow fin tuna which we cooked in the fully equipped kitchen. There were several roadside venders selling fresh bananas and pineapples. Make sure you visit the Sweet Bakery in Cabo Rojo and buy the fresh bread it's amazing!
We had a great time at the condo. Doris was very friendly and wanted to make sure our stay was what we expected. The cool breeze was great. Playa Sucia was a beautiful beach just a short drive down the road by the light house. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the beach there.
We greatly enjoyed our stay at this condo in Cabo Rojo. The layout of the condo is excellent. The bedrooms, bathrooms, and living spaces all felt very nicely separated from each other. The breakfast view of the ocean from the 3rd-story balcony is wonderful! The sunsets were amazing, too (but we could enjoy those only from indoors, since the mosquitoes were fierce after ~5 pm). The owner was extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating. In fact, EVERYONE on this island was very friendly! The tropical breeze blew through the entire unit all day and night...it would seem like a crime to close the windows and use the air conditioner! The only downside (for us) was that the locals were up and busy from ~6-8 a.m., so early mornings were noisy on several of the days that we were there. The entire remainder of the day seemed quite peaceful and relaxing. It probably helped that we had the entire condo complex almost completely to ourselves. It pays to visit during the off-season (October, in this case)! The pool was very nice, and we enjoyed a quick dip there. But, the nearby beaches are spectacular, especially the beach just a half-mile down the road. Just remember to use good sun protection, or you WILL get scorched!
Where do we start? Let's start at the beach. Short drive to what has to be the most beautiful beach in the world. Playa sucia. The pool is awesome as well. Parking is not a problem at your unit you have your own spot inside a gated secured area. The unit itself is wonderful. Open the front doors and you'll see the palm trees and the ocean. Our master bedroom has no need for the ac the literal sweet air will flow throughout the unit. Both bedrooms had a bathroom available. We cooked a delicious steak bought from the nearby supermarket. Doris is very helpful and kind. She is available when you have any questions. We definitely hope to go there again.
