About the property

House, 2 Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

Our Timber Frame Guest home is beautifully hand crafted from Alaska Sitka Spruce wood. It is completely furnished for your comfort with many custom made pieces of furniture - bedroom sets, doors, kitchen cabinets, just to name a few. It is two stories with bedrooms on lower level and living space on upper floor to take advantage of some of Glacier Park peak views and the beauty of the timber frame construction. There is a covered deck off of the living room that has a large gas grill, table and chairs. There is a lower deck off of the main bedroom to relax on too. The main bath is large, outfitted with double sink vanity, extra large soaking tub - no jets, and separate shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with large gas stove, large refrigerator, small island, and lots of counter space. Living room has a gas fireplace, TV (no cable but DVD player) and stereo (no radio reception but CD player), There is a separate laundry room with new large washer and dryer and utility sink for your use during your stay.

The home is located in a very quiet area of town on the edge of an aspen grove and field of wild flowers. It is one block off the main road through town and is easy walking distance to a variety of services and shops - restaurants, antiques, art galleries, golf, horseback riding, groceries, car rentals, AmTrak train station ( summer season only), and shuttle services to all hiking trails and lodges within Glacier National Park.

The Guest Home shares a very large yard with our other VRBO rental property listing #169524 making it an ideal place to vacation together with larger groups or multiple families. There are a variety of yard games to enjoy - badminton, volleyball, croquet, etc, and 4 townie type single speed bicycles to cruise around town on.

We are in a great location to come and explore the beauty and wonder of Glacier National Park with the ease, comforts, and services of a small town outside your front door.

A wonderful place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had a very nice stay here at the end of June. Very clean, well kept property with all the amenities we needed. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, nice living room area with ample seating, loved the Alaska Sitka pinewood beams and structure! Only downside for some people would be the size of the corner shower, we are all under 5'10" and we're ok with size of shower and height of shower head, but I think anyone taller would have a struggle, although there is a large soaker tub available also. Would definately recommend staying in The Timber Frame House! Glacier National Park is truly a treasure in our nation!

Owner's Response: Kate, I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay at our place and admired our Sitka Spruce timber frame structure. Also I appreciate the feedback regarding the shower head. I couldn't agree more and that one was a quick fill in while waiting the replacement. It has been repaired and now a 6'5" person can shower comfortably! Thanks for staying with us!

Beautiful East Glacier homebase!

  • 5 of 5

We booked this VRBO immediately after registering for the Glacier 1/2 Marathon, and we are pretty sure we had the nicest accommodations in the park:) We stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days with our three kids, and it was relaxing and very convenient. The separation between the living and sleeping quarters was ideal; the yard was green, lush and relaxing. It was an easy walk to grab coffee or walk to the hotel. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are super comfortable, and the kitchen table was great for a big family! The only challenge for us was figuring out the sound system to listen to music, but the natural outdoor sounds were welcome, too!

We can't wait to come back in the fall.

Thank you Colleen and Marty for taking great care of a beautiful house!

Perfect in every way!

  • 5 of 5

We have now rented both the houses on this lot in East Glacier - and both are great. This is one is large with a beautiful living space on the top floor, large deck, and view of the mountains. We had people over for a work dinner and the house is extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need even for a large group meeting. Close to amenities of East Glacier but set back from the main streets and quiet. Can't praise it enough!

Lovely Home

  • 5 of 5

I think in East Glacier, this beautiful home is probably as good as it gets! It was spacious, clean, nicely decorated, and a perfect place to relax after a long day on the hiking trails. After stays in Bozeman, Butte, and Whitefish, my husband and I felt like we got the best sleep of the trip here. Marty, the property manager, is a great guy as well. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend this home.
