We had a great retreat here - house was very comfortable, clean, and well provisioned. Excellent place to get away and relax, beautiful and quiet setting. We hope to return again!

Relax in comfort away from home!

  • 5 of 5

Another 5 star rating - it truly is a wonderful place to stay! We were there for 4 nights Oct 5-9, 2017 and had a great time regardless of the wind and mixed precip!

The kitchen has everything you need, with the bonus of condiments, some dry goods and food in the freezer up for grabs. We were able to supplement what we bought from the grocery store nicely!

The house is very inviting and comfortable so we could really just relax and enjoy. We highly recommend!

Thanks Colleen!

P.S. You might consider stocking a travel coffee mug (we looked hi & lo) and replacing the very soft mattress in the 2nd bedroom.

Owner's Response: Eileen, Thank you for the wonderful review and glad you had a great visit. Thank you also for the recommendations of travel mugs. Never thought of that but will add those now. I also appreciate the feedback on the mattress in 2nd bedroom. We don't live there and need to hear when things need updated. We also tend to sleep in the other room. So, thanks for that info.

Beautiful and unique timber frame home with mountain views!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed out stay at the Timber Frame, which featured plenty of room for a group, everything you need for your stay, comfy beds, lots of towels, and beautiful decor. Very welcoming and located close to Glacier National Park.

Far Exceeded expectations!

  • 5 of 5

Colleen's home is incredibly clean and charming, and had every amenity that myself and 3 others needed for our stay. The downstairs bathroom is spacious and the beds and couches are very comfortable. Colleen was quick to respond to emails and even offered us some tips on her favorite hikes in the Two Medicine area. This was a place we were definitely looking forward to coming back to after a long day of hiking.

We ate at Serrano's Mexican restaurant both nights which had great food, pitchers of margaritas and friendly service. There wasn't much in the way of grocery stores/general shops when we returned to Colleen's home so the best option was to eat out. If we chose to eat in however, Colleen has every plate, cup and cooking utensil you can think of so it would have been easy and enjoyable to do.

My only regret for this trip is that we didn't book it enough in advance and therefore couldn't stay longer! Don't let this place go to someone else. Many thanks to Colleen and her family for sharing her wonderful home with us.

Coziest cabin ever!

  • 5 of 5

What was initially a last minute three night trip turned into 5. We could not peel ourselves away from this home! It felt like home the instant we walked in. It is SO clean and cozy! We had some unseasonably cold weather, even snow showers almost every day. We drove to Glacier every day for long hikes including Iceberg Lake and Grinnell Glacier. The bath downstairs was MAGICAL after such a long day of hiking and being sore. Colleen even had Epsom Salt! Everything in this house surprised me...they had EVERYTHING you could imagine. We went to the store in Browning to get food and we cooked almost every night and we made sandwiches each morning for our hikes. We were so excited to get back to the house in the evenings and turn on the gas logs. We do not sleep well at home---so the fact that we got 9+ hours of sleep every night was nothing short of a miracle. I loved the tea kettle because I have a cup of tea every night before I go to bed. The first night we had a frozen pizza and salad and another night we had tacos! My boyfriend even laughed at me and we had a joke by the end of the stay because I was so obsessed with the "cozy cozy cabin." I already miss having my PJs on, being on the couch with a blanket, drinking a glass of bubbly! This was the MOST perfect home base for Glacier adventures, as you can tell there's not much in the area. Ford (my boyfriend) walked across the street every morning to Brownie's to get coffee and sometimes came back with a huckleberry pastry. YUM. Most of the restaurants were closed for the season. We did go to the Lodge next door one night for dinner, which was terrible. We wish we had stayed in the cozy cabin that night! The two medicine grill was GREAT we ate there on our last night. It was a warm welcome after the lodge. The property is so cute, I sent pictures to my mom, brother, and all my friends saying how much they would love this house. We were even able to wash all of our clothes that got sweaty from our hikes, which was nice as we did continue our trip to Western Montana with some family. I will be recommending this to ALL my friends and family. Beautiful views right from the house. Easy access to Glacier Nt'l Park (even though still about an hour) we didn't mind driving. The drive from Kalispell Airport here was easy and we enjoyed the drive. Already can't wait to come back! Even Colleen being in Italy was easy to contact. Marty was also very helpful and friendly. So laid back! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Beautiful and Comfortable Home

  • 5 of 5

I rented the Timber Frame Guest House as well as the neighboring Cottage for my wedding reception. I had contacted Coleen last December to throw the idea by her and she was more than welcoming and accommodating. My family stayed in one house and my husbands family stayed in the other house and it worked perfect for a taking off point for Glacier. The houses were beautiful and we could not have asked for a better place for the reception. The yard is large, shaded and has lots of lawn games, chairs and hammocks. The day we were set to leave, my husband woke up sick. As a result, I was very very late packing the car. Marty was wonderful about it. He let us leave late and even helped me pack the car with all of our wedding things. I would not hesitate to stay here again and am very much looking forward to doing just that.
