About The Owner

The Southern Okanagan has been our summer holiday destination for over 15 years. Our children,(as of 2010) ages 10, 14 and 25 have enjoyed every annual holiday and all activities from horseback riding to water sports/activities.

The Owner purchased this condo in 2007

Why The Owner chose Okanagan Valley

Driving from the Vancouver area is approximately 4.5 hours and the Kelowna and Penticton airports are approximately 2 and 1 hours distance respectively (by car). The town, a 5 minute drive or 20-25 minute walk provides all the essentials one would need. Fresh vegetables and fruit (seasonal) from local farms is second to none. Take the children to Rattlesnake Canyon Amusement Park and enjoy an ice cream at the Sugar Shack-a lakeside amenity selling many flavours. Also, the Osoyoos waterslides are within walking distance from our unit.

What makes this condo unique

Fantastic views of lake and mountains with a sensible layout of 1400 square feet provides space for family time/activities and yet also private/quiet space as bedrooms are at opposite side of kitchen and great room. Come experience our Paradise!

Great Family Vacation

  • 4 of 5

As a family of five, we often find a hard time finding vacation accommodations that fit our needs. This condo was the exception to the rule. There was space for our two teenage girls to have their own beds and share the master bedroom/suite, our son had his own room, and of course, so did we. The location was pretty good, right across the lake with a boat dock near by. However, the condo is a fair jaunt to downtown/restaurants so be prepared to drive and not walk. The condo itself is well equipped; however the on-site gym equipment was in desperate need of upkeep. Overall, we were happy with the condo and would easily stay there again.

Now that we are looking forward to our next summer vacation, Osoyoos remains to be the front runner. We took advantage of the local U-picks in the area, went on wine tours, rented a boat and spent a day on the lake, tried paddle boarding for the first time, spent time just relaxing at the dock, and overall just enjoyed the slower pace of life that Osoyoos offers.

Winter get-away

  • 5 of 5

There were four of us staying for the month of Feb 2016. We enjoyed our stay. The condo is very spacious and was clean and well stocked. The weather was not too good for two weeks but the last two weeks we had warmer weather and sun. We enjoyed the town as well. Everyone was friendly. I would recommend this rental.

Great place!!

  • 5 of 5

Seven of us spent a week here for a family reunion and had a wonderful time. The condo was spacious (and a huge kitchen), had everything we needed and was nicely furnished, comfortable and cool (especially as it was very hot and sunny in Osoyoos). All of us could comfortably sit on the deck and enjoy the great views of the lake and hills; we also watched the Canada Day fireworks from the deck. Other things we did were rent kayaks and paddle boards at the resort next door, go horseback riding at the Indian reserve (great ride through the desert and then along the lake), day trip to the ghost town of Molson in the US, and of course lots of wineries. We were quite melancholy to leave when our week was done!

Awesome accommodation!

  • 5 of 5

A group of 6 of us decided to have a week long wine & relaxation vacation, so I searched for an accommodation that would fit us all. Three bedrooms wasn't easy to track down that looked to also accommodate wheelchair access. I found this location and began corresponding with the owner. He was so open to discussing door width, step heights & bathroom configurations. It made much of my worry disappear. He went so far as to install a long corded hand-held shower head in one of the bathrooms for the duration of our stay. His open attitude was amazing! The only hiccup we had was the height of the "lips" of the doorways. We are very good wheelchair users, but there was no way we could independently bump up or down the steps at the apartment's front door, balcony or elevator access. Thankfully we also had able-bodied friends with us, so coming & going was OK. Next time we would plan ahead to make small ramps, so getting in & out would be easier. The accommodation was fantastic! Large apartment! Great balcony! Easily fit all of us. Would definitely go back again and again!

A great get away

  • 5 of 5

I rented this unit in August this year. The owners are great to work with and the accomodations are great too. The view at night is wonderful. We enjoyed watching the sunset every night and was sad to leave after the week we were there. The unit is on one floor so with kids it is great. The pool in the unit is great for the kids from just over 2 feet to 4 .Yes i would rent again......

Spacious Condo

  • 4 of 5

We feel very fortunate to have spent two beautiful weeks at this location. It was our first visit to Osoyoos and we wanted to indulge in fresh cherries and peaches - which we enjoyed plenty - and taste the region's wine, of course (so good!). The condo is huge! We are a family of four and were pleased that we could invite my sister and her husband to stay with us the first week - we were not crowded at all. The owners are pleasant to deal with which made us feel great. We would recommend the Walnut Beach Resort for dinner as it is in walking distance and the food and drinks are terrific. The high-light of our stay was swimming across to the sand bar and watching the sockeye salmon jump!
