For some, it just wouldn't be a vacation without a game of golf. We are located just 6 miles from the beautiful & hilly terrain of the Lakeview Golf Course.
Lewis and Clark Lake offers more than 33,000 acres of water for fishing and water sports. The lake features 30 miles of narrow, wooded shoreline and measures 45 feet deep at Gavins Point Dam. The lake is noted for its tournament-quality small mouth and large mouth bass fishery in the upper reaches of the lake near Springfield, South Dakota and Niobrara, Nebraska. This area is a winding maze of cattails and weed beds that hold large numbers of bass.
Anglers will discover other species including walleye, sauger, northern pike, white bass, perch and keeper-size channel catfish. There is also an excellent opportunity for freshwater drum and good populations of bluegill and crappie in the upper reservoir.
Fisherman can try shoreline fishing from one of the accessible fishing docks, or rent a fishing boat from the marina.
Boaters can utilize nearby Weigand Marina to launch their boat or one of several other launch locations. Boat slips are also available at the marina and boaters are welcome to tie their boats up to the shoreline , but are warned of unexpected storms that may quickly form and cause damage to their vessels on the unprotected shoreline. Safety patrol will be operating on the lake. Be sure your boat is properly numbered and has all required safety equipment and lighting for your size of boat. Be familiar with different buoys and what they indicate. Owners of motorboats propelled by a motor of more than 6 HP may not allow youths under 12 years of age to operate the boat unless accompanied by a person at least 18 years old.
Boat operators, when operating at greater than no-wake speed, are required to assure that each child on board under seven years of age is wearing a Coast Guard approved life jacket unless the child is within a cabin or below deck.
The area has excellent waterfowl hunting, in addition to pheasant and turkey populations. Big game hunters will find an excellent white-tailed deer population around the area.

We had our family vacation/retirement/birthday celebrations this year at this lakeside beach house, great location, lakeside house is perfect for large families, close to nice beach, water is perfect for kids to swim slight incline not too deep, nice fire pit to have campfires, beautiful view from deck. Perfect place to bring the family to have a great time.
House was well kept and spacious. Could easily fit two families in the cabin if needed. House is right on the water with a giant yard. Close to golf and downtown Yankton. We would definitely stay again.
We had a great stay at this lake house. We had our yearly family weekend. 7 adults and 5 kids all under the age of 7. There was plenty of space and kid friendly. We fished, hiked, and had a bonfire. We also went to Yankton for dinner one night. I would recommend this house to anyone. The owner Kevin was easy to communicate with and was willing to accommodate any special requests. It was definitely a good time!
We had a family gathering and there was lots of room for all. The back lawn area is big and open to play games. Great view from the big deck of the lake and we could walk down to the water if we want to. Close to the marina for the guys to put their boat in to fish. Grand kids love to watch the deer walk by the back lawn earlier in the morning. Very nice neighborhood and quiet.Kitchen is well stock with pots and pans etc. Only one thing is could use a little more lighting go down the steps to the fire pit at night. Maybe some solar lights would be nice. Had a GREAT time and are going back next year.
GREAT place to stay! We had 8 couples celebrating anniversaries and didn't want to stay in hotels where you can't have time together. Found Kevin's place online and it was awesome. Plenty of room for everyone, AMAZING views. Everything you need at your fingertips. Only thing we would all have liked is more comfortable beds, the mattresses could use some updating but other than that the place is awesome and well worth your stay! Also got to meet the neighbors and the owner...all wonderful people. We enjoyed our stay so much I'm sure we will be back again next year!!!
The cabin was clean and offered our family the ability to stay under one roof for our parents 50th wedding anniversary. Our parents greatly enjoyed having all of us in one place. The large lawn allowed us much room to play volleyball and yard games. Access to the water and sand was very nice for some light fishing and playing in the water. The cabin was very clean and had all the amenities with cable, full kitchens, multiple baths and multiple sleeping arrangements. We will look forward to possibly scheduling something next summer again.
