Be in the surf or watch the surfers from your lanai. A casual walk to the Foodland grocery store and lots of restaurants. The park across the street offers tennis and basketball courts, a skate board park and roller skating oval along with a children's playground. It is also fun to watch the little leaguers or Pee Wee football. In the same building you can sign up for a scuba trip or class, rent a bike or go to the Surf-Side Deli for great local food.
The kitchen and living room are comfortable with views of the ocean and great sunsets. The kitchen has everything that you should need including spices and a rice cooker.
The bedroom has a queen size bed and extra TV.
A luxury hotel is $500.00 a night, gasoline $4.25 per gallon. Why not be comfortable, feel at home and save a bunch. Cook or BBQ if you want, OR go out with the money you save.
Complimentary high speed internet (hard wired or wireless).

We also have a two bedroom condominium at Maui Parkshore (1.3 miles south, VRBO listing 185387). We try to have everything you might need for a comfortable vacation including laundry, dishwasher and dish soap. Bring your own perishable groceries and swimsuit! Oops - Don't forget suntan lotion.
Marian Hansen purchased this condo in 2010
My wife and I spent a week there in March of 2016 and had an absolutely fabulous time. Across the road and small park and you were in the water. There is a shallow easy access beach perfect for young children. If you're a diver, there is a dive shop in the complex and a surf shop across the road. Local food places were plentiful and fairly inexpensive, there is also a grocery store 10 minute walk away.
The condo was spacious and clean, and we were fairly central to everything.
We (2-senior widows) stayed here for 7-nights after completing the Hawaiian Island cruise in November 2014 and we enjoyed every minute from breakfast to our nightcap on the lanai. The sunsets are awesome. There are a number of great beaches within 5-minutes. The condo was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for cooking - utensils/dishes as well as spices, even laundry detergent and beach equipment (chairs, umbrella, cooler). We had a rental car so were able to get all around the island. Marian was quick to respond to our initial inquiry. It was great to be able to keep in touch with our families via phone and internet. Would definitely book this unit again when returning to Maui. Will certainly recommend to others.
I stayed a week at the condo in July 2013 and we loved it! The place was cozy, had a fully equipped kitchen to cook in (no need to find more utensils or cookware), everything was in proper working order and they also had all the beach equipment you would need like chairs/umbrella/boogie boards/snorkels. The location was awesome because we went all over the island with a rental car. It was no more than 35 to 45 minutes to Lahaina and Kaanipali and 15 - 20 minutes from Big Beach and Makena state park/Wailea. We loved the laid back feel of Kehei and that we could walk to several beaches down the road or just across the street. The only thing is the pull out bed in the living room isn't the most comfortable because its a pull out bed but if that won't bother to people who sleep in it, then its not a big deal!
We stayed 12 nights at Island Surf and enjoyed every minute. The unit was clean and was just like the pictures. Marianne was a pleasure to work with. We enjoyed dinner at Sensei (really good sushi and tempura).. We went to Whaler's Village in Lahina and ate at The Hula Grill (Mahi-Mahi was excellent). Recommend the Dinner Cruise on Quicksilver. Food was good and we saw lots of whales that came up close to the boat. Kam 2 is nice beach just down the road. Will be coming back to Maui and will look up this unit again. Recommed it to others.
The amenities in the condo were excellent, the kitchen was very well equipped; great set of pots and pans, lots of cutlery and a fantastic assortment of cooking utensils as well as BBQ tools, lots of glasses for wine and plastic ones for the pool area, plenty of spices and foil and plastic wrap as well as laundry soap( which was a pleasant surprise). A super selection of beach equipment(4 Tommy Bahama chairs, a Tommy Bahamas umbrella, cooler, boogie board, beach mats). The bed was very comfortable, a TV in the bedroom was also a nice touch. Overall, the unit was fantastic. The location of the condo is great, this is our second year staying in this building and we LOVE the location, walking distance to grocery store, restaurants and bars. The ocean view from the lanai is stunning. The only complaint we have is that noise from the street is very loud, is only quiet from about midnite to 6:30am. The owner of the condo was great to deal with, had an issue with the missing pool key the 1st day, but was quickly resolved that same day. Mahalo!
We needed a last minute condo and this one had all the great amenities. I have a home in Waiehu and was rennovating, so having the washer/dryer in condo was wonderful. The bedroom was lovely but we couldn't get enough air cond. to the bedroom & bath with the one unit at the floor level in the livingroom....so most of the time we just used the sofa bed. We enjoyed the two TV's in case we wanted to watch different programs. It would be so nice to have an air cond. unit in the bedroom and this unit would be superb. I was reluctant to rent on Kihei Rd., but we were not out on lanai alot, but enjoyed watching the folks walking and some of the old cars we saw. The sport store downstairs has a jam session every other Wed. & we walked down and listened to them play. The store owner was very nice and invited us back. I would stay here again, overall it was a nice condo.
