Property type barn

About the property

Barn, 1 Bedroom + Other (See Description), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)

Come and relax in this beautiful country side where life is a little simpler, people are kinder and the grass truly is greener.

If checking calendar the day of stay as a last minute walkin always call since it shows unavailable.

This barn loft apartment is an open floor plan with just over 700 square feet of room to enjoy. 'THERE IS NO KITCHEN'. Two (2) Queen size beds are available as well as (1) inflatable raised queen bed and a sofa to sleep on. The BATHROOM has a shower and no bathtub. There is a bean bag bed full size for children only. Large windows overlook the horse paddocks on both ends where you can watch our horses roam and relax in the sunshine.

Accommodations are comfortable and serene as the farm is located on a dead end street with little traffic. Restaurants are within a few minutes from the farm as well as shopping and entertainment. Stay put and relax or venture out into the County for sight seeing and adventure.

Visit our small village Leipers Fork and enjoy shopping at our antique stores, browse our art galleries where local artists are displayed and then dine in our cafe and restaurants. Enjoy live music every day but Monday at Pucketts Grocery or join us for one of our towns festivals or events. Thursday in Leipers is open mic night and creole shrimp boil, Friday and Saturday nights offer dinner and shows, reservations advised if possible.

The farm has horses and dogs roaming and greeting our guests. The horse barn has 4 stalls, a wash bay and tack room. Four paddocks hold the horses along with a full size dressage arena lit for night riding. We welcome overnight guests with their horses who are traveling.

You don't have to own or travel with your horse to stay. You are free to enjoy the sight of our little herd out in the fields. If you chose to you may have a private horseback riding lesson taught by Kirstin. She has been teaching adults and children to ride for over 10 years and is exceptional at helping those intimidated learn the love of horses.

Also provided by appointment is our personal growth/therapy sessions that use Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. We are trained and Internationally certified through EAGALA for this. You may read more information at our website provided on the first page.

About Kirstin Mason

Chose this area to raise my daughter because of the beauty of the land, kindness of residents and peaceful surroundings. Originally from the northeast settled in Tennessee back in the early 1980's because of the kindness of the people and the beauty of the land. Life long horse owner/lover who likes to share her sanctuary with others.

Providing a unique service to the middle Tennessee area of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy is my honor. The only private practice in middle TN providing this service.

Kirstin Mason purchased this barn in 2002

Why Kirstin Mason chose Tennessee

Quiet, serene, peaceful all while being in the great outdoors and close to a major city. Could not imagine living any other place because of the surroundings, the people and the weather. Hiking on the Natchez Trace is right around the corner from the farm.

What makes this barn unique

Having dogs and horses at your finger tips if wanted or just to view. If not you just enjoy your stay and ignore them. Though Avery (border collie) may ask you to play over and over again. Having coffee on the deck in the morning is a favorite pastime. Many enjoy the energy here as it is so serene.

Fantastic Place !!!

  • 5 of 5

Very charming location. The farm is beautiful and the loft is cozy, comfortable and very well decorated. The owner, Kirstin is the most fantastic host ever. We have one of our best vacation in years. My kids rather go back to Kirstin's farm than Disney World. Lots of fun, marshmallow roast, horse back lessons, fantastic views from any window. Even Avery (dog) is terrific. Way to go Kirstin! Thank you for the great time!

Owner's Response: Peter and Family, Thank you so very much for opting to spend your precious time on the farm. It was truly my pleasure to host you and your family. Your children were lovely and it was fun showing them my chores and how I care for the horses. So glad they had fun running around, climbing on hay, roasting marshmellows and quizing me. You are most welcome to come back at any time as it would be my pleasure to host you all again. Remember kayaking in the summer is the best! Thanks. Kirstin

A slice of heaven in Franklin, TN

  • 5 of 5

I am just realizing I did not follow up with this. On my trip home I ended up with a visit to the emergency room in Chattanooga, TN, a second kidney stone in 3 mos. Such is life. Now to my review, Kirstin is amazing, gracious and goes above and beyond to make your visit memorable. Spotless and relaxing. I sing her praises here in my home state. Avery is equally as attentive and such a joy. Avery met me at the door the morning after our arrival and I wanted to bring her home with me. A slice of paradise in Franklin, TN. A definite stop if am in the area. Kirstin, THANK YOU does not begin to express what is in my heart for you and Avery. Brenda

Owner's Response: Brenda, So sorry your drive home included a hospital trip for kidney stones. I know those can be awful to deal with. Glad you finally made it home and are on the mend. Sounds to me like you need another vacation to rest and heal from your trip. You are welcome at the farm any time and I know Avery would love to see you. Hope to see you again soon. Kirstin

You had me at a deep breath!

  • 5 of 5

How does one begin to say thank you, for the space you have created. Driving through the gate I could feel myself unwind, relax and breathe. The horses, the beauty and Avery ( the border collie), who led us to our suite. He gave love and then sat outside the door as we entered. The room was huge, clean, welcoming and more than we could have hoped for. We will be back next time for a longer stay. The area is charming and full of surprises. The shops are full of high end choices, the restaurants were great and the people... open and warm. Who needs more? God Bless you and everyone who enters your gates. Thank you!!!! Lynda and Karen

So glad you two enjoyed yourselves and you are more than welcome to come back for a longer visit. Bless you both. Kirstin

Relaxing get away

  • 5 of 5

Can't say enough about how nice the place was. Beautiful view of the pastures from the deck. The owner Kirstin goes above and beyond your needs and is a very nice person. Her dog is very lovable also and loves to play. This is a very, very nice place to stay and clean. The loft is spotless. Gives you a warm feeling as soon as you walk in the door. We stayed for just a couple nights Nov 2nd and 3rd. Can't beat the price either. If I am ever in the need of a place to stay in this area again, I will definitely get in touch with Kirstin.

Great place

  • 5 of 5

We had a very nice stay at the loft. We thought we might be a little far from things we wanted to do but it is convenient to Franklin and to Nashville for day and night sightseeing trips. The loft was very clean and peaceful in a great setting among the horse farms. We have two small dogs and they enjoyed the space and hanging out with Avery. Kirstin was friendly and helpful when we asked for some suggestions for things to do. We had a great stay and vacation in the area.

Owner's Response: Rick, Glad I got to host you and your pets for your getaway to the Middle Tenneessee area. Avery seemed to enjoy your little dogs even if they didn't get to actually run and play together. It was nice meeting all of you and please don't hesitate to contact me if coming back to this area again. Thanks. Kirstin
