Wyoming Cabin Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 4

This beautiful, private guesthouse is available year round for nightly and weekly rentals. It’s located on the outskirts of town, yet is just five minutes from shopping and restaurants. It is beautifully decorated in true western style, and comes fully furnished with a cook-ready kitchen, one bedroom with a queen sized Tempurpedic bed and a second bedroom with 2 twin beds, sitting area with Direct TV, wireless internet access, bath with tub and shower, and hot tub access. A fire pit is located in front for the use of our guests. Pasture is available for up to 4 horses (hay included if necessary for an additional fee) with plenty of room for truck and trailer parking. The views are incredible and there are no cross streets in front of our property, so it's very quiet and peaceful. Since we are open year round, we welcome hunters, fishermen, hikers, snowmobilers, cross country skiers, horseback riders, nature lovers, mountain bikers.......everyone who loves the out of doors.

Avout the Owners: Bob and Sierra Smith, full time residents of Saratoga, Wyoming, are both avid horseback riders and outdoors people. Bob has lived in the valley since 1981 and was in the fishing/hunting outfitting business for over 25 years. Few people know more about the valley than he does. Both Bob and Sierra have a love of the outdoors and all that this special valley has to offer. They keep their 4 personal horses there on site and love sharing their love of riding, fishing, hiking, four wheeling and wildlife viewing with newcomers to the area.

Why the Owner Chose Saratoga: We purchased this property as our private residence where we could have our horses right at home with us. What is now our guesthouse was originally simply used as a separate storage building on the property and was not initially purchased as a vacation rental. After a complete renovation of the main house, the storage unit was then also completely renovated and turned into a beautiful guesthouse. After some thought and much encouragement from family and friends, it was decided to offer the guesthouse commercially for nightly and weekly rentals.

The Unique Benefits of this Cabin: Incredible mountain views; amazing star filled night skies; peace and quiet; access to 2 floatable rivers for fly fishing, wade fishing, canoeing; unlimited places to view wildlife, hike, four wheel, horseback ride, cross country ski, snowmobile....just about anything you would want to do outside can be done in Saratoga. Saratoga also has a natural mineral hot pool that is open 24/7 all year long and is free to the public; and it's just 5 minutes from the guesthouse. Bob & Sierra will be happy to make advance preparations if guests would like to horseback ride, fly fish down the river, take a scenic river float, go four wheeling or make dinner reservations for guests at Saratoga's exceptional steakhouse, The Wolf Hotel.

Why Sierra or Bob Smith chose Wyoming

We wanted a place where we could have our horses right on the property with us, one with beautiful views and a property that would be close enough to town to be convenient but not so close that we didn't have privacy as well as peace and quiet.

What makes this cabin unique

There are no cross streets in front of or beside our property so it is very private and quiet. The views are absolutely second to none.

My dad and I had a wonderful time, the accommodation was excellent and our hosts, Siera and Bob were sincerely kind and helpful. The ranch style accommodation is truly Wyoming Chic, the views are lovely and the atmosphere was quite and relaxing - just what the doctor ordered!

Excellent!

We had a very relaxing time at Siera and Bob's home. We relaxed on the porch and took in the gorgeous view, drank wine and were constantly charmed by Rowdy the border collie. This is a lovely place to have a little vacation.

Owner's Response: Honestly, we are beginning to think we need to rename our place "Rowdy's Ranch" instead of Roan Hill Ranch! We know that id he ever turns up missing, we will never be able to find him because everyone falls in love with this dog! And, we are happy that he is part of the charm that comes with staying here. Maybe I should create a Facebook page for him?

Home on the range

A stay at the beautiful guesthouse at Roan Hill Ranch is a real Wyoming treat. The view is fabulous, the horses and friendly dog Rowdy welcome you to the ranch. Best of all is the chance to spend time with hosts Sierra and Bob who make you feel right at home.

Owner's Response: When folks stay in our guesthouse, whether it's for a weekend or a couple of weeks, we always feel as if we have made new friends - and it seems as if our guests feel the same. Our goal has always been to make people feel like family, and we strive to treat our guests the way we would like to be treated. So far, that formula appears to be working and we feel very blessed that the fabric of our lives has been enhanced so much by hosting and interacting with such wonderful people.

We have stayed at Roan Hill several times. It's a gem, always warm and inviting. Saratoga is a sleepy getaway with adventure if you wish. Sierra and Bob are gracious hosts and always make us feel so welcome. If you go, have dinner at Bella's and visit Lolltpops for ice cream. Happy Trails.

Owner's Response: There is no better recommendation that can be made than to know that people choose to stay at Roan Hill Ranch over and over again when they visit Saratoga. That tells us we are doing something right! And, we are always looking for ways we can improve our guesthouse and our customer service. Why not give Roan Hill Ranch a try if you are planning a stay in our town. You won't be disappointed.

Saratoga, WY is located about 100 miles west of Laramie in the beautiful Platte River valley. Our small town is best known for the first class fly fishing opportunities on the North Platte River and the Encampment River, both of which are located here in town. People come from all over the country to enjoy not only the fishing, but the spectacular scenery surrounding Saratoga on all sides. Majestic Elk Mountain is a wondrous sight at any time of year. The wildlife is abundant and visitors marvel at the herds of pronghorn antelope, elk, mule deer, and whiltetail deer that can be seen all over the valley. Saratoga is also known for it's big game hunting, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, hiking, horseback riding and snowshoeing. Our little town also has a natural mineral hotpool that is open 24/7, is free to the public and has bathroom and shower facilities. It doesn't matter what time of year you visit because there is always something to do in our valley.

Other Activities: Rock climbing, shopping, snowmobiling, health/beauty spa, kayaking, and wildlife viewing.
