La Chumbera, or 'the cactus', as we call our holiday home, is situated in the historical town of Begur, about 10 minutes from the centre and nestled among beautiful pines. An agreeable climate is present even at the height of summer. There is a parking spot in the garden and a patio area with a gas barbecue. Each of the house's three bedrooms has its own bathroom with a shower. The living room is quite spacious and bright, and the adjoining kitchen contains a dishwasher, large fridge, oven, microwave, and many dishes and pans. One large bedroom is located separately on the ground floor, allowing different groups to enjoy their holidays together, for example, parents, grandparents and children. The washing machine and tumble dryer are located right next to the large bathroom. For our athletic guests, four bicycles are available. Behind the house is a patio, ideal for sunbathing as it is protected from view. The location is peaceful but not too far out of the way!
On-site assistance: The gentleman in charge of looking after our holiday home, Mr. Georg Forsthuber, lives just around the corner.
He can be reached by phone, so that you don't have to look too hard for the La Chumbera guesthouse after your long trip! As a native Austrian, he worked for a long time in Switzerland, then took an early retirement and established himself in Begur. He can help with almost any problem in and around the house, so that you can enjoy a stress-free holiday. He can communicate well in German and Spanish.
He will definitely give you some good tips about the local attractions in the interior and coast, as well as all around Begur!
