View manatees in the clear water that flows past our property while you swim, canoe, kayak, or boat around our home. In about a 10 minute boat ride you can be in the Gulf of Mexico. Choose an island of your choice just off the coast to picnic and watch the sun set. Get a work out by taking a canoe or kayak trip up the Weeki Wachee River, then relax as the current brings you back home. Enjoy up close and personal many of our local birds, fish, and tropical plants in a quiet and relaxed setting.
The property itself is on a quiet corner lot at the end of Tuscawilla Drive. Clear spring fed water flows by two sides of the property. It is exciting to look below the surface of the water and watch a 8" wide blue crab feed on the bottom. Watch the snook, sheephead, and mullet swim by regularly. The manatee love the spring just 200 feet past our home. Enjoy the shade of a large Florida Oak, the beauty of flowered azalea bushes, and lots of flowering plants. You can enjoy a gentle Gulf breeze while standing on the deck of the modular home built on stilts. Bring your boat, jet ski, canoe, kayak and tie up to our boat dock. Bring your fishing poles. Or bring your puzzles. Enjoy and Relax!!!
Close by is Weeki Wachee Spring and the live Mermaid show. Pine Island provides a public Gulf Beach area for picnicing and swimming. Watch the dolphins play while you walk out 1/4 mile and still only be waist to chest deep in water. Go south to Tampa for the activities there or head due east about a two hour drive to Disney and Orlando.
Locally, you can find a variety of restaurants and shopping centers. Everything that you need can be found within six miles from your furnished home.

This place is awful, definitely a safety hazard.... a homemade fire pit that had broken cinder blocks with some trash and other things in it, the door on the little storage space down stairs under the home was coming apart , a leather chase was down stairs under the trailer for whatever reason, trees that were rotten and needed to be taken down, the place was grown up, pieces of lumber were laying in piles. We go upstairs inside the house the kitchen has a soft spot in the middle of the floor near the refrigerator , toilets were dirty, bed sheets were dirty pulled the sheets to wash them and the mattress cover was stained and worn out. Not to mention the bed was hard as a rock tossed and turned both nights, oh I'm not finished there were stains and spider webs on the walls ceiling fans were dirty. we could not wait until Sunday to leave. And you ask why we stayed,2 reasons I was afraid we would not get our money back (and after this review I may not get my deposit back) and 2nd my husband suggested that we stay and clean the place ,wash the sheets and try and enjoy our weekend the best we can. Although the place was dirty when we got there I cleaned up after us and then some both the 1st night and on Sunday. Now with all of this being said the owner responded to my every email that had to do with us renting his place, and now that I have private messaged him regarding these issues and he has failed to respond.Total disappointment . This place is not well maintained. either way beware or just take your chance at it...maybe this review will change some things for the next renter.
Owner is great to work with. Weeki Wachee is always a blast. House is dated but it has river access and enough room to accommodate. Grill worked and there is a large concrete area beneath the home but Bring your own chairs. Owner made the whole experience easy and quick.
Owner great to work with...everything we needed......except..........no WIFI or cell service
Boated from Rogers Park and dock/unloaded at the house. This is my 2nd stay there. Excellent as always. Manatee were in the canal. Very clean house and games for the kids.
A few couples wanted to get away from the kids, celebrate a birthday and an anniversary for a few days. WE had a BLAST! Honestly, it was more fun than you cn imagine. WE boated all day and laughed all night in this secluded little tree top house :) Saw a baby manatee and momma on the river, and cruised to the gulf for a sunset too.
