In the Summer of 2014 we spent over 5 weeks here and then went back again for the month of July 2015. We've truly enjoyed spending the past 2 summers in the amazing house at this great location. The pictures do not show how roomy and open the floor plan is. It is located in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood that is so enjoyable to walk. It was the perfect place for us to host dinner parties and game nights with friends who own homes nearby. The dining room table is HUGE and the covered patio is very comfortable. Since it's about a 2 hour drive from Phoenix, it was convenient to have family and friends come and visit...with plenty of space for overnight house guests. There are many choices for great day trips from the house...Grand Canyon, Jerome, Sedona, Barizona, Snow Bowl, Extreme Adventure...and on and on.
The air smelled of pines as we stepped out of the car, and we were enchanted. It is cabin in a forested area, with gorgeous cathedral ceilings and woodwork throughout. The open floor plan has a large dining room table perfect for entertaining, and a living room with fireplace.
It is a short drive to the wonders of Sedona and hiking in the Oak Creek area. Also a perfect launching spot for a trip up to the Grand Canyon. You can enjoy a day at the canyon and then get away completely from the crowds.
We were there early in the season and the owners made certain that everything was ready for our arrival. This was a both a peaceful retreat, and a luxury accomodation.
Both my husband and our college-aged son loved the place.
We had such a great stay here in Munds Park. The house was so clean and well stocked with quality linens, towels and furniture. Even bikes to tour the neighborhood and Golden Pond. A beautiful location nestled in the pines. Can't wait to try it in the summer months.
We had a fantastic stay at Coconino Pines casita. The house is lovely, the kitchen well-equipped with all we needed to make dinners, including spices. The beds are comfortable, there are extra towels, soaps and lotions in the bathrooms and the washer and dryer was very convenient and there was even detergent available.
This cozy house is in a quiet area but not secluded so it was perfect for our stay. The neighborhood is lovely. The wraparound porch includes a grill and is a great place to relax in the evening while making dinner.
The pictures don't even really do this home justice...it is bigger than it appears in the pictures and the kitchen is a good size.
All in all, this was a great place to relax by the fire after a day filled with exploring all the wonders of Northern Arizona.
The owner was very responsive to questions prior to our stay.
We will definitely be back!
It was 116 degrees the day we left Scottsdale for our month long retreat in Flagstaff. What a surprise when we saw our new abode. A cute house with a wrap around porch and comfortable deck furniture. I couldn't wait to sit out there and have my morning coffee and evening wine !! The house was open with a modern kitchen, huge casual dining table, comfortable sofa and direct TV.... great for watching the OLYMPICS. The nights were cool, the bedding so comfortable, I felt like I was sleeping in a cloud.
We enjoyed riding the bikes, playing golf and tennis, going into Flagstaff, checking out the "hippie" stores and buying incense. We recommend "JOSEPHINE'S " for dinner and if you are not afraid of heights ...the FLAGSTAFF EXTREME ADVENTURE COURSE" What a thrill.
Chris, Thank you for answering our questions. I took pictures of your house and showed them to all my tennis friends. They were so impressed. We will be back.
Our vacation at Coconino Pines Casita was restful, serene and well worth the expense.
The cablin is gorgeous inside and out. The area of Mund's Park is secluded and safe. Yet there is much to do within an easy walk or short car trip.
Fishing, hiking, golfing and biking are all within walking distance.
The tall pines and cool air is such a respite from our daily experience in Phoenix.
We thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility and sense of grace and elegance in this cabin hideaway.
