The house is a Charming Shotgun in the heart of the Garden District. New renovation, 14 foot ceiling, completely refinished 100 year old hardwood floors. Lots of light and space! It is set up like a Hotel! A traditional New Orleans Shotgun, means that it is a walk through apartment. Best for 2 couples or families with 2-4 kids. It's a fully furnished short term rental apartment. New furniture and 400 thread count sheets. It has one queen sized bed and several sleeper sofas. Everything you'll need. Family friendly. You even have your own private backyard for your morning coffee or pick up Crawfish from the corner store (Big Fisherman) and have it on newspaper. Invite your friends to your own Crawfish boil :)
Located In the heart of the Garden District just steps to the most vibrant commercial area on Famous Magazine Street. Plenty of Local shops, Clothing, Art Galleries, Design within Reach, and more. Our Local Breaux Mart grocery store is just around the block, and Rue de la Course for your morning Coffee with Chicory, Or Slim Goodie's diner for breakfast. Really dozen's of Restaurants a stones throw away. Cafes, Bars etc.

The home owner was very nice and easy to work with regarding reservations and entry to the home. The location was in a nice neighborhood not to far from the French Quarters, convention center and Super dome, we were there for the Essence Festival. We used Lyft to get around the entire trip. Unfortunately due to construction of the neighborhood a couple of the Lyft drivers were turned around. The house is close to several nice restaurants a grocery store and a Walgreens. The pictures of the house are accurate, I think it needs a little updating but I guess it served its purpose however the picture of bathroom did not show much and upon our arrival the bathroom was not very clean, the toilet and tub were pretty nasty and the shower curtain and rod needs to be replaced. We decided to walk over to the nearby market and purchased air freshener, bleach and gloves and cleaned the bathroom. The kitchen was fairly clean but it appears that the previous guest left old ice and misc. items in the fridge and freezer (we cleaned that as well) the house lost points because we had to do the cleaning yet we were charged a cleaning fee up front also the TV didn't work and so we were stuck listening to an older model radio. I know we didn't vacation to watch TV but it would have been nice to catch the news. I suggest anyone staying there to take your own linens, pillows, sheets and etc. Overall I was satisfied with my stay, it was my first time renting a rental home and I will admit it's nothing like a 4 star hotel but we made it work for us! This place was perfect for our vacation needs. The location was fabulous with so much to see and do right there on Magazine Street. The market/grocery store is right across the street. Be sure to checkout The Bulldog bar. The rental is much larger than the pictures reflect and was very clean. The fenced area in the back was great for our dogs as well. I could not have been any happier with this place. The communication from Sid was awesome as well. Can't wait to vacation in NOLA again.
The place is clean, comfortable and in a great location. Easy to get just about anywhere and plenty to see and do within walking distance including a market across the street and several terrific places to eat (including commander's palace). Owner was very helpful. Could use a bit more funiture for kicking back and the bed was a bit low to the ground for my creaky knees.
This place was exactly what was described and more! Much bigger and more rooms than the pictures portray. The outdoor area out back nice and was great for our pups. There is also a dog-friendly park about a block away. A Breaux Mart is directly across the street, super convenient. Word of warning: a camper is parked right beside the house behind a fence and has a hand scrawled message out by the curb that reads "no parking". The lady at The Big Fisherman owns this I believe, and had our vehicle towed from this spot, $201!!! We were looking forward to getting some seafood from this place but not after we approached her about our vehicle and she was a jerk!!! Overall, we loved staying here and highly recommend!!!
Excellent location, very clean and comfortable. The owner was easy to connect with, but very hands off. Easy access to the St. Charles streetcar took us everywhere we wanted to go. Lots of restaurants, but don't forget to pick up a couple pounds of boiled crawfish next door at the Big Fisherman!
We had a great 3 night stay. This location is steps away from Magazine St and so close to many great restaurants! We literally walked everywhere, and when we got tired of walking, we took the street car which is just a few blocks up and easy to learn. Sid was very accomodating and we would definitely stay here again when we come back to New Orleans!
