About Kelly

Hi...we are Kelly and Rick Oaks. We live in eastern panhandle of West Virgina, but we LOVE Siesta Key Florida!!!!! We plan to retire to Florida someday, but in the meantime we will visit this beautiful piece of paradise. We have 2 wonderful boys, ages 17 and 19 who love Siesta Key beach also. Rick owns and operates his own cleaning/ fire/water restoration business and Kelly is a stay-at-home Mom.

Kelly purchased this villa in 2010

Why Kelly chose Florida South Central Gulf Coast

We love the location of Vista Hermosa with its easy access to the beach and Rick is very partial to Siesta Key because he lived near the Key for 13 years when he was growing up.

What makes this villa unique

Kelly loves to get up in the morning and have her coffee on the lanai, then heads to the beach for her morning walk. Rick and the boys love the bike rides. Staying in the villa has all the same amenities we have at home, which makes visiting very enjoyable. The new washer and dryer is a God send, especially with beach towels and any extended stays.

The owners were wonderful to work with. They thought of everything to make you feel right at home. The villa looked newly remodeled and it was very clean. Our family had a wonderful time here and we would recommend it to any family. Thank you Kelly and Rick for letting us rent your villa!

Month of January 2016 at Vista Hermosa Villa

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed Kelly's cozy, clean, well equipped villa. Everything we needed was provided, There were: plenty of towels & blankets, internet, nice TVs, dishwasher, washer and dryer in unit and the kitchen was fully equipped to include all the basics and many extras like a blender, spices, Kuerig coffee maker, and even things like a coffee grinder and waffle maker. The king bed master bed was very comfy and having the guest bedroom be big enough to hold both a full bed and a queen bed is nice. Kelly was very responsive when we contacted her and she had a handyman come to resolve the issue. I was pleasantly surprised to experience such a quiet environment. The villa is a ground level building where walls are shared with a few other villas but we never heard noise from any other residence. Parking spot under roof was convenient and there is guest parking nearby. Cannot speak to the community pool - we saw it empty but never had a single day in the entire month of January that was what we consider bathing suit weather. Kelly has a cart with beach toys and chairs ready to roll out the lanai door, but we never touched that cart due to how cold it was during our month stay. Did enjoy walking on three Key beaches in our jackets. Crescent Beach is under a 10 minute walk from villa and free parking is easily found at Turtle Beach and Siesta Beach. We did lots of sightseeing into Sarasota, including the Ringling Museum and Ringling mansion, Jungle Gardens, MORC Aquarium and Myakka State Park to see alligators from the shore and from the park boat, Also traveled into Fort Meyers to see Edison and Ford winter compound, Manatee Park in Lee County, and into Ding Darling Nature Preserve on Sanibel Island. We even took a two hour drive down to tour Naples and Marco Island. Son enjoyed a fishing charter boat trip as well as golfing (both in his winter coat) and daughter enjoyed going in rented kayak to see nearby nature preserve near Turtle Beach (Kayak rental was just around corner and they made it very easy for her to adventure). Lots of restaurants and shopping available on Key as well as in Sarasota. Can get most anything you need quickly at the Davidson Drug store or 7 Eleven since both are just a short walk away. Other than the January weather being very cold and rainy, we enjoyed our stay.

We took the week to unwind and refresh. Villa was just like being at home (clean, decorated very well, comfortable, everything you needed was there) with the benefits of the gulf waters being just 10 minutes away. truly enjoyed and refreshed!!

Would definitely keep this on our list...

Girls Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Long time girlfriends time to get away was wonderful. The place felt like home and decorated to everyone's comfort level. Nice having a pool as well. Only thing was it

was confusing as to where we were to be on the beach since the condos had designated

areas. Owner made aware.

PERFECT

  • 5 of 5

Spent a wonderfully relaxing week with my husband and daughter. This villa is beautifully decorated and CLEAN! We've rented several times in Siesta Key and this is our favorite by far! v Everything was provided right down to a waffle maker (which we love). The owners did a wonderful job in remodeling and it shows they care. Everything and I mean everything was provided, even the necessities for the beach (cooler, toys, umbrella, chairs, towels, cart). Easy walk to the beach (5 minutes). Would highly recommend
