Great place to relax!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here with family over Memorial Day weekend and it was perfect for us! The owner was very helpful with answering any questions and more than willing to help with any requests. The cabin was very clean and spacious, perfect for the 7 of us. Very close to the lake as well as the village. I definitely hope to stay here again one day!

The Perfect Place to Stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had the best time! Very clean, maintained with all the amenities you needed and plenty of extras to keep you entertained. Everything was pretty straight forward and easy to use and find. Plenty of room for everyone. Access to a dock is a plus. 5 minute drive to Lake Arrowhead Village shops/restaurants and 30 second drive to the store/market. Couldn't have been better! Can't wait to go back. I highly recommend this property!

A Great Start to 2015

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a lovely 3-night stay here over New Years – the home was a perfect setup for two families of 4 with young kids, there being ample space on the two large main levels and the additional loft space for all of us to hang out, play some records (an awesome touch!) cook, play games or just disappear with a book. Seriously - 8 people did NOT feel crowded here. We didn’t get to enjoy the patio due to the weather (other than to build a snowman) but we’d imagine in summer it’s a gorgeous place to sit among the trees. Everything is just as it appears in the pictures, homey and comfortable, with all the amenities and equipment that you might need for a comfortable few days in the mountains. In the snowy winter conditions the wood-burning fireplace in the main living space was fantastic. Contrary to other reviews we found cell reception there to be perfectly adequate if you need it (both Sprint and AT&T) and the lack of wifi didn’t bother us in the slightest. Lastly, communications with the owner were simply outstanding in every way – responsive, friendly, helpful and very accommodating. All in all, this was a first-class VRBO experience – would repeat in a heartbeat. Big thank you for sharing your home with us!

Email from Owner

Additional information about restrictions on the property provided by owner:

Email sent by owner quoted exactly below.

I am the owner of the Lake Arrowhead cabin that you stayed at on July 25th.

The reason for this email is it has come to our attention that you used candles on the pier and occupied our dock partners table and chairs. The candles melted and created a mess on the carpet on both sides of the pier. Our dock partners proceeded to clean up the mess and did not charge me for their time and labor. Therefore there will no additional charges for you at this time.

Considering our state of California is in a severe drought situation, your carelessness deserves mentioning. The potential for disaster was huge on your part. Plus the disrespect for others' property is disheartening (cabin was extensively dirty).

So let this be a lesson for you when you rent other people homes and property you will be more mindful.

If you care to discuss, I can be reached by cell phone.

Nice and cozy

  • 5 of 5

The whole experience was excellent from the moment we reserved the cabin. The person who coordinated all the details of the reservations was very responsive and provided clear instructions. The cabin is very nice and conveniently located nearby the village, just a couple of miles. Upon arrival, we tried to fnd the property via Google maps but had to switch to the Apple maps apps since Google was taking us to the wrong place. Beware of fog if you are driving in the night, we could barely see the dividing lines in the road, that part was kind of scary. Coming back to the cabin,...it was very clean, cozy and you get a nice feeling of being on a family environment. We really loved the concept of its decoration and the wooden construction inside. On the other hand, everything including bathrooms, kitchen, etc was in very good condition. This cabin is very versatile in the sense that everyone in our family from my 8 and 13 years old kids all the way up to my mother in law who is on her 60s loved it. The kids had a blast playing pool and ping pong, watching movies and playing with the snow outside. Us adults enjoyed very much watching TV and enjoying a glass of wine seating around the fireplace in comfy sofas. The owners also have an impressive collection of vinyl discs (LPs) which you can enjoy in a nice turntable. Very nice experience, highly recommended.

Warm and charming cabin

  • 5 of 5

This was our first experience of renting a home through homeaway.com. The site was exceptionally easy to navigate and the rental process very straightforward. We stayed at this cabin and the entire family (8 people) truly enjoyed it. It had a nice rustic feeling and well appointed. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and fairly close to the market at Lake Arrowhead Village.

The owner was very helpful in providing instructions to find the cabin, as our GPS had located the cabin at a different location on Highway 173.

I would highly recommend this property if you are looking for a warm comfortable stay that the entire family can enjoy.

Please note there's no wireless internet and ATT 3G signal is not very strong in case you need it. It makes for a nice, 'disconnected', vacation.
