This charming bungalow offers everything for your vacation. The great house is located in the historic district and a wonderful walking adventure. It is three blocks from the marina and 5 blocks from shopping and restaurants, and 5.6 miles (14 minute drive) from Parris Island. You can explore everything from beautiful historic homes to shopping, restaurants, galleries and the Beaufort waterfront park. This is the place where most of the numerous festivals are held throughout the year.

A three mile drive will get you to Sands beach in Port Royal. This is a popular beach that you can drive on to find a perfect spot to enjoy sun bathing, and pier fishing and a popular spot to search for shark teeth. Hunting State Beach and Park is 12 miles away but due to extensive damage from hurricane Mathew in 2016 is currently closed. There is a pier that is partially open for water views .

This home is beautifully furnished with all the modern conveniences yet gives you a total beach feel with lovely bead-board walls in every room. The home sleeps 7 people very comfortably. Two bedrooms have a full size bed and one bedroom has 2 twin beds. All the linens have a high thread count of Egyptian cotton. The living room has a fold out couch. There is 2 full baths and a modern kitchen and dining room. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans and dishes and eating and cooking utensils.

There is a binder in the house that will acquaint you with the area and more information about the house. There are also some helpful websites that you can visit to get you around to all that Beaufort has to offer. Please feel free to call us with any questions or recommendations.

Historic charm in convenient location!

First stay for us in Beaufort, which is a fantastic town. Loved it! This cottage is in the historic district with mixed use buildings--mostly residential, but, some Lawyers, the local Health Department, churches, etc. Neighborhood is mostly quiet but lots of military aircraft flying over at certain times, cottage is walking distance to the water and all the downtown shops and restaurants. Wonderful historic markers and historic houses to visit, etc., many in neighborhood. Added plus is that there were at least 3 dog parks within a few blocks to this cottage, which was fantastic for our dog Sam. We loved the fenced yard as well. Very walkable, dog friendly town, most shops and restaurants had water dishes out for dogs. (Dogs had to stay outside at outdoor seating- where allowed of course). The house has a nice screened front porch with ceiling fans but owners do allow smoking on porches and back yard-which we don't like- and there were dead cigars and nasty cigarette butts left in the sand ash trays (ick). We are both allergic to tobacco. But, once we cleaned those up, it was ok. At least we couldn't smell tobacco afterward and there wasn't any smoke smell inside the house-thankfully! The house is historic so the rooms are smaller. We loved the cozy feel and original features of the house. We are thrilled that the owners restored this sweet little place. They did a good job too. An addition to the back of the house was used for making a new kitchen with eat in area, new bathroom and area for stacked washer/dyer. The master bedroom had a good sized en-suite bath with tiled walk in shower. Newer appliances in the kitchen and basic utensils. Nicely decorated throughout. If you plan on cooking something that requires a large casserole dish, pizza pan, etc., bring it with you! Most people likely just eat out, but if you like to cook note there's limited cooking pots and pans in the kitchen. Parking is off the street right in front and as owners note, room for 2 cars only. The two of us plus Sam, our dog, were very comfortable in the house. We loved the Pass to get into Hunting Island State Park provided by the owners. The Island sustained lots of damage during the last hurricane and much of the park is still closed, but, we went to the light house and beach one day and it is a beautiful place. Worth friendly, nice folks working there, etc. We definitely will be going back to Beaufort soon!

We stayed two nights due to my son graduating from Parris Island. Very convenient to Parris Island .

The picture doesn’t do this house justice. It is very nice and plenty of room for 7 people. Great location to Parris Island and restaurants. The porch is really relaxing and roomy. I really felt at home here.Limited parking, however there is parking across the street. I would highly recommend this house. Thank you again for allowing us to be apart of your home.

Our second stay here as good as our first.

This was our second year staying at this bungalow and again we enjoyed it and Beaufort immensely. The house is fully equipped and the front porch is a delight, even though the cold weather meant we couldn't enjoy it as fully as last year. The pleasant and short walk to downtown and the waterfront park is a huge plus. Also convenient for wandering the beautiful neighborhoods. We had family in and out during our visit and had plenty of bedding, including blankets! It is a wonderful place to stay. And the permit for Hunting Island is a great plus.

Very comfortable and plenty of room for all who stayed

We were please with our stay. We had some problem with water being frozen when we arrived. Did not get full service until the day after we arrived Extreme cold and snow was not expected for the area. We would consider staying again

We really enjoyed our stay - the house was equipped with everything we needed, i.e. WiFi, laundry facilities, full kitchen and dining area and great bedrooms. The backyard is also very nice - perfect for outdoor evenings by the fire. Walking distance to Bay Street/historic district of Beaufort. This place will not disappoint! Highly recommend!
