Brian and Linda live in North Carolina on the lovely Lake Norman. We love the lake area and have raised our 2 children to love the water. We purchased this house and loving restored it from the brink of destruction trying to preserve the historical character of this house as much as possible.
Linda and Brian Deblasio purchased this house in 2010
We fell in love with Beaufort South Carolina and the low country with its rich historical essence and hope you will too. There are over 25 restaurants in walking distance of our home . .
This is a quaint historical town and there is so much to do and see. This area is so rich in history and there is a lot to explore. Just hop on your bike and enjoy restaurants, shopping and you can even go to the beach.
We had a great time and enjoyed lots of sunshine and good food! Our location was perfect and very quiet!
Staying at this location was everything we were hoping for.The reason for our trip was to see my grandson graduate from Paris island, Marine base. Our stay at this Beaufort location was perfect for this only about 15 minutes from the base and very close to all other needed locations ( food, grocery ,down town). The house itself was ideal, very clean, had everything you would need for cooking in and plenty of room for my family to gather and enjoy.
This little house is a wonderful place to stay for those visiting Beaufort. An easy walk to the downtown shops, waterfront park, and the beautifu neighborhoods on The Point meant family members could happily follow individual interests without complicated transportation arrangements. The house is furnished nicely with a well equipped kitchen, utensils and pots and pans and a cupboard of spices. Very nice appliances, too. The three bedrooms made easy accomdation for family members who made brief visits and the screened front porch is a wonderful spot for reading and visiting. The overhead fans are grand additions for good weather visits when you don't need air conditioning. A screened door for the back door would make it easier to take advantage of the shotgun house design. Nice patio in back with grill is a plus. We recommend this property highly.
This is a very nice fully renovated cottage in historic Beaufort. We found it clean and fully functional. It's a walkable distance to the waterfront and downtown area.
We had a wonderful time. The home was perfect for our family and in a great location.
The house was lovely. Plently of room for two people, kitchen contained all the necessities so there was no need to go and buy sharp knives, pans and chopping boards as so often happens with vacation rentals. Good location for the town but but aware that if you want to use it as a base to visit Charleston it doesn't look very far on the map but because of the road system it's quite a way.
The power went out while we were there which indirectly meant we were a weekend without internet and had to wait in on the Monday morning for the repair man. Not the owners fault but it gave us an issue (we're from the Netherlands so didn't have our own access, I ended up having to use my work mobile for internetting - I'll be having a discussion shortly with my boss on that one:-().
