Apartment, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)
Why Sophia chose Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg
I like prewar high ceiling apartments and Berlin architecture. I enjoy sun bathing and strolling by the canal. I like the art and museum scene of Berlin.

Damage and incidentals
You will be responsible for any damage to the rental property caused by you or your party during your stay.
Max guests: 4
- The phone can be used free of charge only for incoming calls and outgoing landline calls. Phone calls to mobile phones are extremely expensive and extra fees will be applied. Pets are not allowed. Smoking is not allowed. I suggest guests not to walk with shoes inside the apartment in order to keep it clean and fresh. High heels shoes also damage the newly restored old oak floors. The pine floor at the bedroom is the most sensitive one to heels and luggage. The wood stove in the living room does not work. Please do not try to burn anything in it. Guests are very welcome to use the kitchen inventory, but they are asked to wash everything in the dish washer except the wooden items, pots, and pans. Guests need to clean the apartment every week when they stay more than a week with their own expenses. Cleaning Lady is provided for help. Guests wash their cloths with their own detergents. Guests have to ventilate the apartment properly and the bathroom particularly in order to avoid any formation of mildew. Guests throw their garbage to the garbage containers which are located at the back of the building at the end of the entrance corridor. Please throw away all garbage before checking out. Guests are responsible for any damage caused in the apartment during their stay. If any household item gets damaged or broken I encourage the guest to replace it and/or inform me about it. I provide the guests with 1 set of keys. In case of loss of keys there will be an additional charge of 150 euro per set plus the expense of changing the lock.
This is a beautiful apartment in an extremely convenient location. We very much enjoyed our stay, and I would jump at the chance to stay here again. The apartment itself is extremely clean and well maintained. Despite being centrally located, it is very quiet. We enjoyed sitting in the sunny bay window so much that it was hard to leave on any given day. The owner, Sophia, was a pleasure to deal with and provided a comprehensive list of local restaurants and other places to go.
The M41 bus stops right outside the building and the apartment is just blocks away from several U-Bahn lines. In addition, as mentioned above. there are many convenient restaurants, bars and retail establishments in the neighborhood. If you're looking for a fine apartment where you'll get a good feeling for what it's like in a typical Berlin neighborhood, this is your place!
Great location near restaurants, shops, bus, and train. Beautiful sitting place near front. Very clean. Easy folks (Sophia and Margret) to communicate with. Wonderful week in Berlin
Great and cool guests! Thank you David for choosing us for that important anniversary!
I highly recommend David and his wife to any owner!
I will host them again in a heartbeat!
A gem of an apartment in Berlin!
We visited Berlin for our first time to run the Berlin Marathon and feel so fortunate to have found Sophia’s lovely apartment. Everything is of high quality and the apartment was spotless. Sophia was also very helpful and responsive to provide us with a 2nd set of keys (at the last minute) for our daughter who was visiting for a few days from London. We cannot wait to visit Berlin again and would not hesitate to stay once again in Sophia’s beautiful place.
I was very very happy to host the family of Jo Ann! What a great family to be able to accommodate! I will be more than happy to have them here again, anytime, no questions asked.
I highly recommend them!
Old World Charm in Modern Kreuzberg
The things that drew me to this property were the high ceilings, wood floors, huge windows, and tasteful decor. The photos were acurate representations of the apartment. It also had modern amenities like a freshly remodeled bathroom, dishwasher, washing machine, and programmed thermostat. Everything worked really well and all of the furniture was comfortable. The linens were nice, too, and the kitchen was stocked with everything one could ever want to host a huge dinner party. The apartment was conveniently located to several bus routes and U-Bahn stations, and was walking distance to the Graefekiez and Bergmannkiez. The property manager could not have been more welcoming. She responded quickly to every communication and was clearly dedicated to making sure she provided the best experience possible for her guests. I would definitely stay here again.
I was very happy to host Julie!
I will host her again anytime she comes back to Berlin!
I highly recommend her to every owner!
You'll like it!
If you want to be in a real Berlin neighbourhood with excellent public transportation to anywhere in town, this is the place to stay. It's quiet, sparkling clean, and perfect for a couple. The Landwehr Canal is just down the road, as are several eateries. And in the opposite direction you come to the really "happening" part of Kreutzberg, replete with restaurants, a wonderful market, and a great look at a Berlin neighbourhood.
You will be met by a very helpful and pleasant woman, who will gladly direct you towards local grocery shops and provide information about tickets for the buses and U- and S-Bahns, and provide other information you might need.
Canal is two minute walking distance from the apartment. Perfect for dining, walking, relaxing, sunbathing, reading.
