We live upstairs from the apartment and love having guests from other states and other countries use our house as a home base for exploring our beautiful city!
Mel purchased this Apartment in 2002
Why Mel chose Park Slope
Conveniently located in the center of Park Slope, the apartment is near many great restaurants, bars and local shops, and 2 different subway stations. Park Slope is a vibrant family neighborhood, populated by both longtime residents and more recent transplants. It's a real community where people know each other and help each other out, and is a great place to come home to after a day or a night out in Manhattan. The house was built in 1903 and retains most of its original features.

Not what we expected
It was a good location and price for the area but it was not what we expected from the photos and a little dark and depressing for us.
Lovely apartment in a most gracious and quiet location
We were welcomed by the owner, who showed us around her two bedroom basement apartment. There was plenty of light, and the place was clean and comfortable, with beautiful parquet floors. We appreciated her allowing us to keep our bags in the apartment well past check-out time, because it gave us the opportunity to wander around Prospect Park, just up the hill. So, a lovely place in a lovely location. One small cavil: a couch or easy chair would have been nice (although I am not sure where it could have fit).
Adorable and convienent home in Park Slope, BK!
Mel is a great host and the apartment is a beautiful/spacious place for 3-4 people to stay. Mel was kind and accomadating. We particularly enjoyed the garden outside! 10/10 would recommend.
Always a great stay
Always a pleasant stay at this quiet garden apartment. Great location, owner easy to contact. Look forward to returning.
Perfect spot in Park Slope
Mel's place is wonderful! It was the perfect place for us to stay during our Brooklyn weekend. The beds were very cozy and a great place to rest after our 13.1 mile run. Mel was very helpful and was a great host. Definitely recommend her place!
Host very accommodating. Supplied us with a blow-up bed
Perfect location for our purposes. Clean. Kitchen and dining area supported our needs. Only common area is the kitchen/ dining room. Could use more light to read. Bathroom off the kitchen. Would stay again
