Overview

Northwest Colorado House Rental Photos and Description

House, 4 Bedrooms + lofted sleep area, 5 Baths, (Sleeps 5 - 14+)

** Call or txt (206) 275-4878 or Email — I'll usually reply within an hour. Unless I'm sleeping. =)

Not slope side, but a much better value and nearly as convenient.

Our free parking pass gets you to within 50 feet of the snow after a 6-10 minute drive, or take the shuttle after short five minute walk.

Compared to a cramped condo, there is plenty of space and well built walls for everyone to spread out when you need some me time, yet our large dining and living room accommodates the whole group with a fire, a movie, or one of our ample board games and puzzles.

New for 2016 are three renovated bedrooms — the results are spectacular and I can't wait to get some new photos up. With reconfigurable bedrooms, we can now accommodate any type of group. Everyone wants their own? We have 10 real beds + several high-end inflatables. Couples? We have three kings and a queen. Little ones? Newish Pack'n'Play Crib is ready to go.

No one else puts as much thought into the details of making the vacation experience a breeze for their renters as I do — much to the sometimes consternation of the owners (my parents and aunt/uncle).

The little touches and amenities thru-out the house are all oriented towards making your visit comfortable. Go ahead and try to use up all the hot water, toiletries, soaps/detergents/spices — bet you can't! &We are the only home in the area to change the hot tub water for each group.

Give me a Call or txt (206) 275-4878 — it's much faster than emailing questions back and forth and I'll probably give you some great info on how to save a bit of cash on your visit even if we decide that our home isn't the best fit for you!

=== Affordable

You don't have to pay Aspen Extreme prices to spend a week in Aspen-Snowmass. Sure, you could rent one of the other homes on our street for almost twice as much, or save by renting a dilapidated shack down the hill for about the same price as ours — but you've lucked out and stumbled upon our killer big mountain view, so save those bucks for a new pair of ski boots and spend a minute reading our affordable tale.

A Snowmass Pioneer, my grandfather paid cash for a small plot of land at the end of a jeep road back in 1966 and built himself a cabin overlooking the future town of Snowmass Village. In the 1980s, concerned that those working in the valley were no longer able to afford to live in the valley, he dedicated the entirety of his retirement to organizing what is now the crown jewel of the Aspen/Snowmass community: the Affordable Employee Housing Program.

In 2005, with the roof leaking, the single-pane windows drafty, and the property taxes mounting on our grandfather's lucky strike, we sold the homestead and set our sights on a seldom-used, modern, comfortable home with a remarkable view just one ridge west.

In 2010, after five years of my family allowing a property management company to hawk our home at $800-$1200/night (and somehow still owing money at the end of the month), I decided to move out to the mountains and try my hand at it myself.

It turns out that cutting cutting out the commission, upgrading the amenities, and flashing a friendly smile works wonders — We now sell out each winter, pulling in just enough to ensure that this view will be enjoyed by my family (and yours) for generations to come.

Two year's ago we will be dug out the grass turf and revegetated with native plants, doing our part to keep the valley as it was in 1966 when my grandfather took a jeep ride in search of paradise.

I hope you are able to make it out this winter. Think snow, and I'll see you on the slopes!

As usual, the house was spotless and the view magnificent

We had 13 total campers, 11 of whom stayed for a week. The facilities were not overloaded; showers never cold, washers always available.

Excellent Mountain Home- Feels Like Home!!!

  • 5 of 5

The home is wonderful, large areas for 1-2 families to enjoy the mountain views across the valley of Snowmass Mountain, Kids loved the layout, parents loved the all the touches of home at your fingertips. The ownership takes excellent care of this beautiful home, we stayed over spring break March 25- April 2, 2016. The home has all the kitchen items necessary for the family to eat - pots , pans , spices, glasses. The washer and dryers's were great to keep the kids ski clothes all clean and sweat free. Thanks Cody to the great home, we will be back again and will tell our friends

Solid house, close to slopes, amazing views, and owner hospitality

  • 5 of 5

We had a full house (5 adults and 1 toddler) and an amazing time with tons of room to spread out. 5 minute drive to the slopes and beautiful mountain views! Cody was readily available/responsive for any and all questions and offered incredible hospitality. We definitely recommend this house and hope to return some day.

The BEST vacation home we've ever rented!

  • 5 of 5

My wife, adult son and I(as well as various other family members) have enjoyed renting vacation homes as a combination family reunion/vacation for many years. We've rented homes in Aspen, Snowmass, Avon, Vail, Telluride, Sedona, Lake Tahoe, Malibu, Cashiers(North Carolina) and other beautiful spots through the years. This is by far the BEST (home and owner/manager Cody) of all those homes. It is spacious yet warm and cozy, modern yet sweetly old-fashioned, taken care of and loved with pride by Cody and his Dad. The views are magnificent. We could have spent hours sitting on the several balconies with majestic mountain views and hawks circling above in the day, and summer nights where it felt like you could touch the moon and the stars(there's even a professional telescope available which we didn't need because the night sky was so clear). The beds were extremely comfortable, the two washers and two dryers worked perfectly, the kitchen was overstocked, the information provided by Cody was great, the drive to the home much easier than expected, the privacy(master bed and bath on second floor, other beds and bathroom below) wonderful. If we needed anything, Cody was on call and quickly available and took care of any tiny request we had--he is so wonderful to work with and made us feel like we were long time friends. Of all the many special little extras, we particularly enjoyed the large collection of old LP's ( I guess they're called vinyl these days) with an easy to operate "record player"--it brought back memories for me and my wife of the good ole days and the sound was remarkably good.

This home and Cody are great blessings that should not be missed. We're already planning how long we can stay next summer. By the way, the weather was fantastic, too--I'm not sure Cody had anything to do with that, but I wouldn't be surprised if he (or his grandfather) did. :-) With lots of gratitude, Marty and Dotty
