|Minimum Stay||3 - 7 nights|
** Call or txt (206) 275-4878 or Email — I'll usually reply within an hour. Unless I'm sleeping. =)
Not slope side, but a much better value and nearly as convenient.
Our free parking pass gets you to within 50 feet of the snow after a 6-10 minute drive, or take the shuttle after short five minute walk.
Compared to a cramped condo, there is plenty of space and well built walls for everyone to spread out when you need some me time, yet our large dining and living room accommodates the whole group with a fire, a movie, or one of our ample board games and puzzles.
New for 2016 are three renovated bedrooms — the results are spectacular and I can't wait to get some new photos up. With reconfigurable bedrooms, we can now accommodate any type of group. Everyone wants their own? We have 10 real beds + several high-end inflatables. Couples? We have three kings and a queen. Little ones? Newish Pack'n'Play Crib is ready to go.
No one else puts as much thought into the details of making the vacation experience a breeze for their renters as I do — much to the sometimes consternation of the owners (my parents and aunt/uncle).
The little touches and amenities thru-out the house are all oriented towards making your visit comfortable. Go ahead and try to use up all the hot water, toiletries, soaps/detergents/spices — bet you can't! &We are the only home in the area to change the hot tub water for each group.
Give me a Call or txt (206) 275-4878 — it's much faster than emailing questions back and forth and I'll probably give you some great info on how to save a bit of cash on your visit even if we decide that our home isn't the best fit for you!
You don't have to pay Aspen Extreme prices to spend a week in Aspen-Snowmass. Sure, you could rent one of the other homes on our street for almost twice as much, or save by renting a dilapidated shack down the hill for about the same price as ours — but you've lucked out and stumbled upon our killer big mountain view, so save those bucks for a new pair of ski boots and spend a minute reading our affordable tale.
A Snowmass Pioneer, my grandfather paid cash for a small plot of land at the end of a jeep road back in 1966 and built himself a cabin overlooking the future town of Snowmass Village. In the 1980s, concerned that those working in the valley were no longer able to afford to live in the valley, he dedicated the entirety of his retirement to organizing what is now the crown jewel of the Aspen/Snowmass community: the Affordable Employee Housing Program.
In 2005, with the roof leaking, the single-pane windows drafty, and the property taxes mounting on our grandfather's lucky strike, we sold the homestead and set our sights on a seldom-used, modern, comfortable home with a remarkable view just one ridge west.
In 2010, after five years of my family allowing a property management company to hawk our home at $800-$1200/night (and somehow still owing money at the end of the month), I decided to move out to the mountains and try my hand at it myself.
It turns out that cutting cutting out the commission, upgrading the amenities, and flashing a friendly smile works wonders — We now sell out each winter, pulling in just enough to ensure that this view will be enjoyed by my family (and yours) for generations to come.
Two year's ago we will be dug out the grass turf and revegetated with native plants, doing our part to keep the valley as it was in 1966 when my grandfather took a jeep ride in search of paradise.
I hope you are able to make it out this winter. Think snow, and I'll see you on the slopes!

Our stay at Cody`s place was just perfect.....at bargain price! nice house, clean rooms, million $view from window, hot tub with mountain view it was like dream.Cody let us use everything we need so we fell like at home. Cody was very friendly to our family. Thanks again Cody
We hosted a large group and had a wonderful time. We would definitely rent this property again. Cody is the owner and we contacted him several times with different questions. Cody was very helpful with the home and overall area.
First I will get the obvious out of the way, Cody was an absolute pleasure to work with. He made everything from check-in to check-out seamless and as easy as can be. He went above and beyond to provide excellent service, and though we had no issues during our stay I know they would have been taken care of within hours.
Now on to the house itself -
My husband and I took our 3 year old and a few extended family members up to Snowmass for Thanksgiving. The house is in a perfect location for easy access to Snowmass Village, skiing, about 20 minutes from Aspen Mountain and also close to Old Snowmass which we enjoyed exploring. The house is all carpet, which was different at first but it made the house so comfortable - no cold feet and we also didn't have to worry about our toddler running around and falling down on hard floors.
The beds were all comfortable as well, and the house could EASILY sleep 10. The little lofted area with two beds was perfect for our toddler and he felt like he had his own room without being too far removed from us.
Hot tub was wonderful, plan on spending an entire night drinking wine and looking up at the stars from the tub. The kitchen was better equipped than my kitchen at home. I was able to make an ENTIRE Thanksgiving dinner without wanting for more serving platters or roasting pans. Essentials and more are there for your use.
The house is not new, but it has been kept-up extraordinarily well. All the rooms are warm and inviting. We will be staying again next year with a larger group. We can't say enough positive things about our stay!
Stayed here for a few days while doing some bike riding in the area. It accommodated our group of 11 nicely. Everyone had a bed. Good access to the roads and trail system around Aspen/Snowmass. House sits on the side of a mountain so it's a nice climb back to the house after a hard day on Independence Pass. The house even had a bike repair stand which came in handy after my rear derailleur exploded on Maroon Bells Road.
Cody was very easy to work with and I would highly recommend him.
My extended family, 8 adults and 1 toddler, just completed a 4 night stay in Cody's wonderful Snowmass house. We used the house as a base to do the West Maroon Trail from Aspen to Crested Butte, bike on the Rio Grande Trail then catch the rodeo in Snowmass that night, then ride the Silver Queen Gondola and return to Aspen for dinner and drinks. We were exhausted at the end of each day, but loved returning to the house to play games, exchange stories, and enjoy the views and the hot tub! Parking is free and plentiful. Everything you might need is already at the house including a fully stocked kitchen with lots of spices (do not buy plastic wrap, aluminum foil ect!), bathrooms with all required hair dryers and toiletries, and lots of extra blankets and pillows. Cody was very responsive and kind with any requests or questions. We could all imagine how wonderful the house would be for skiing enthusiasts. Our family will return to this home in the future!
We had 13 total campers, 11 of whom stayed for a week. The facilities were not overloaded; showers never cold, washers always available.
