Next time we book a golf trip to Scottsdale or go down for spring training, we won't even shop around, we will just call Scott and go back to this rental. It was great.
This beautiful home was great for a family vacation. The creative and relaxed decorating was so fun with unique items everywhere that helped make the week special. All the spaces were great but the four private patios and the many fireplaces were an added bonus. The view from the pool was beautiful and the neighborhood was perfect for walking. The close proximity to grocery stores and the well equipped kitchen made cooking easy. There is plenty to do in the area but it is also the perfect house to just relax as a family!
The Turquoise House is colourfful, quirky and definitely fun. Each room is intriguingly dressed with a huge variety of objet d'art which draw your eye and please your senses. The home is very comfortable and extremely well equipped; the kitchen has high end electrical appliances making cooking a breeze. The steam shower was a new highlight for us, even though we'd stayed in several other rentals in the Scottsdale area over a number of years. The home was immaculate, clean and comfortable.
The property is situated in a very quiet cul de sac in a gated community and the owners' very clear directions meant that we had no problems driving there from Sky Harbor. The tranquil surroundings ensured that our vacation was truly relaxing. Much of our time was spent beside the pool enjoying the bird population, as coming from the UK, hummingbirds and roadrunners are a huge treat! In fact one roadrunner strolled past about 6 feet from where I was sitting! Eagles soared overhead and we heard coyotes in the distance. When it was too hot to stay outdoors, we relished the coolness provided by an efficient air conditioning system.
It is ideally situated for day trips to Sedona and Grand Canyon, and being a bit adventurous, we took a two day trip to Monument Valley, a long drive, but those iconic buttes seen close up are a photographer's dream and the images will help us through the long wet English winter nights!
Not being golfers, we didn't take advantage of the owner's offer to play at Desert Mountain, but we visit and enjoyed a dramatic sunset from the trailhead there. The views south towards Tucson mountains were awesome, thanks Scott.
Grocery shopping was easy with a choice of stores close by. There is an impressive range of bars and restaurants within a short drive.
But above all, the home ensured that our vacation was so relaxing, everything we needed was on site, so we were able to kick back and chill out under the desert sun and stars. On two consecutive nights whilst enjoying the myriad of stars overhead, we watched in awe as a meteor silently traversed the sky leaving an orange trail in its wake.
Scott is a most attentive caring owner who goes that extra mile to ensure his guests' comfort.
We had a wonderful time in this superb home. We stayed for one month and we had a wonderful time. The home is all the is detailed in the site and more with the owner providing any support, help and advice that we needed when we needed it.
The villa is memorable and comfortable with unforgettable artwork and design features such as a steam shower, amazing pool area and endless sitting areas - you can really appreciate why it was on the cover of the magazine. The spa, biking, hiking, golf and other recreational experiences to numerous to mention are exceptional.
We would stay there again without any hesitation.
Wonderful home. Great location. Delightful owner. Great amenities.
Everything added up to an excellent home base for a perfect desert vacation.
We highly recommend the property for anyone considering the Phoenix/Scottsdale area.
We (two couples) came to Scottsdale for four days to golf, to mt bike, to hike, to eat, & to attend Barrett Jackson & HR. How fortunate to have found this exquisite home! The master suite is lush; the second suite offers a large steam shower (my husband's favorite) & is next to the media room - great floor plan. The gourmet kitchen is beautiful & well-stocked. The pool, spa, grilling area, & outdoor lighting are fabulous. We had dinner 'out' two nights (Tonto Bar/Grill & Binkley's, but enjoyed our two dinners 'in' even more. The casita was a bonus, although we did not use it. However, having the upstairs third bedroom & bath offered an even more private area in which to dry my hair early in the morning without disturbing my husband! Scott listed us @ Desert Mountain, & we had the best hike of our stay high above the area. I cannot say enough about the decor in every room of the home - we never tired of discovering endless artistic details throughout the estate. Scott was responsive to our every need, every call, & every text. The privacy within the home & grounds made this stay very relaxing. So pleased that we changed our reservations from The Four Seasons to this magnificent & artistic home. We look forward to a return visit.
Part of the beautiful lush high Sonoran Desert. Arrangements can also be made to utilize many of the facilities of Desert Mountain, the number 1 residential golf and lifestyle community in the world, that includes 6 private signature golf courses. Great restaurants abound including Binkley's, one of the finest fine dining establishments in the Southwest. Prices on food and beverage are very reasonable in many establishments and fun, Including line dancing and Bull Riding. Horseback riding also available.
