My co-workers and I have stayed in this very condo 3 different times for a business trip to America's Mart. It is just the best. The beds are maybe the most comfortable I have ever slept in - so much so that my co-workers and I tried to duplicate the bedding when we got home! The location is great! The front desk staff for Peachtree Towers are fantastic! Very friendly, helpful, and courteous! So many new, fluffy towels - that was a big plus. In the past there has been a drainage issue in the showers, but that seems to be all taken care of. If you are looking for the most up-to-date condo - then this one may not be for you. The bathrooms don't have zillions of outlets or lots of counter space - but that is not a deal breaker as far as we are concerned. Also - if you don't like doing dishes, look elsewhere - there isn't a dishwasher but how hard is it to wash a few wine glasses???? Other than that - the kitchen is fully stocked and you could easily make a big dinner there if you wanted. Having recliners in the living room is a huge bonus - our legs were tired at the end of long days! The patio furniture is nice and the patio is always clean! We are already planning on staying here again next year... So need I say more???
The good news about this condo is its location. It’s an easy walk to the World of Coke, Georgia Aquarium and CNN. We were there for a convention and it was two blocks to the convention center.
However, we didn’t seem to have the same experience as others at this condo. There were no flowers, chocolate or food to greet us. In fact when we first arrived we were to get a parking pass but our pass was for the previous month. After a 45 minute wait in the lobby it was straightened out. I didn’t see anything mentioned about the condo being located right next to the bank of elevators. To be more specific, the master bedroom and the living room share a wall with the elevator shaft and it takes a while to get used to the noise at all hours of the day and night. The beds were very comfortable but this condo needs a lot of TLC. The floors were filthy, the TV in the master didn’t work, the bathroom door in the master had fallen off the door jam and could only be closed if you picked it up off the floor and swung it into place and the blinds in the master were broken. My husband was so frustrated with the door he went out and purchased the materials to repair it. It is now working correctly. The shower curtains in both bathrooms had mold and mildew on the bottom of them. The shower in the second bath didn’t drain properly therefore when taking a shower you were standing in ankle deep water. The radiator in the second bedroom leaked water all over the floor. I’m not sure when the last time was other than a public restroom when I used one-ply toilet paper. There was lots of it but one-ply? Really? We were told at the beginning, if we sent a self-addressed stamped envelope along with our damage deposit we would get the check back. It’s been a month now since we returned and the check has not been returned to us. I would not recommend this unit to anyone. The owner of this unit was not easy to work with. In previous reviews the owners referred to are John, Ed and Harriet so I am assuming this unit is under new ownership now because we worked with Jane. If I asked a question prior to arrival about the condo I would receive a one word reply yes or no. When I asked about sites to visit in and around Atlanta I was sent a link to the Georgia Aquarium. I’m pretty sure most people realize the Georgia Aquarium is in Atlanta. I was hoping for some attractions to visit I didn’t know about.
We were due to arrive in ATL during the ice storm. When our flights were cancelled and could only re-book for two days later, Ed graciously let us changes our dates. That was a sign! We found the condo just as described with extras...breakfast goodies, drinks (for every taste) and a stash of chocolates. The location was perfect..everything we needed to see or do was less than twenty minutes away. With hand on heart, I can say that I would recommend this condo to anyone.
WOW! What a wonderful stay we had. John, Ed and Harriet were wonderful to work with. Prior to our arrival, they sent a packet of things to consider while visiting Atlanta. My family (husband, son, daughter-in-law, grandsons, 3yr. old and 5 yr. old) was in Atlanta for the Chick-Fil-A Bowl, Duke fans. We went to the aquarium, children's museum, strolled through Centenial Park, rode the ferris wheel, took a carriage ride and just enjoyed the city. What was so amazing was the way the owners took care of us. When we arrived, we were greeted with fresh flowers, fresh fruit, breads, juice, milk, wine, beer, waters, soft drinks, the list goes on and on. There was even pizza and ice cream in the freezer! They also had puzzles, some for each grandson's age. Such a thoughtful thing to do. The condo was so clean. My only complaint is that we didn't have enough time to just stay in the bed! Makes me want to replace my bed at home.
John called on the day we were checking in and Ed called the next day just to see if everything was okay. They are the best! It was so nice for my family to be together in this home away from home.
Three spacious rooms, with their bathroom. Nice location, nice furniture, very welcoming.
Nice kitchen, nice living room.
We have stayed 4 times at this condo and stay for 2 to 3 weeks. John, Ed, and Harriet are wonderful and have gone out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The condo is always clean and there are fresh flowers, chocolates, and something in the refrigerator to sustain us until we can make a trip to the grocery store. We love staying and would highly recommend it. It is becoming our home away from home when we are working.
