Clean and cozy cabin with an ideal location

  • 5 of 5

I loved MaryAnn's home as soon as I arrived. What is most important to me is a clean home with comfortable beds and the ability to stay in touch with family at home. This home is immaculate and nicely decorated. Both beds were comfortable and I appreciated having a land line since AT&T mobile did not have cell service. Additionally wifi is provided. I kayaked up to hospital hole from the home to view the manatees early morning and dusk when few people were on the river. The floating dock and included kayaks made that possible. The Weeki Wachee is a gorgeous, but crowded river so paddle weekdays or get out early. I would recommend a shuttle upstream so you can enjoy all 5.5 miles downstream. Up and back is doable but strenuous unless you have a fast kayak and good paddle. Beaches are near by, the Homosassa Wildlife Refuge about 30 minutes and at least 6 other kayak streams within 90 minutes if you are passionate about paddling Florida streams. Finally MaryAnn is a good communicator, and goes out of her way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. I had the pleasure of meeting her and after a day of paddling with her, I feel I've made a new friend. Thanks for a great vacation. I will be back.

Great Couples Getaway- Money Well Spent

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a month; living quarters were clean and well-appointed; the deck facing the canal was peaceful; the paddle to the Weeki Wachee River by kayak was short and the paddle to the Hospital Hole where we saw manatees was a 10-15 min paddle. Two eating spots were within a short walking distance, national franchises were 10-15 min. drive away on Commercial Way; Linda Pederson Park was one mile away and had manatees and bald eagles every time we visited; the owners were VERY good to deal with.

Wonderful Stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at MaryAnn's place. The location is convenient to keep you busy for an entire week. Weeky Wachee Springs is beautiful and a must do. The kayaks that come with the house make it easy to take short trips in the mornings or evenings. We spent one day on Weeky Wackee, one day on the Chassahowitzka and we also visited Tarpon Springs. I would definitely recommend this vacation home.

Great Place, Clean, Comfy & great Location

  • 4 of 5

Stayed here with my girlfriend and her 80 year old mother who was visiting the U.S. from Hungary. We found this house to be just right for what we wanted. Being so close to Rogers Park is a definite plus, and the kayaks and dock provided us all the entertainment we needed. The Weeki Wachee river is one of the most beautiful streams I've ever seen and being able to paddle up, float down on such gin clear water is a true pleasure. However, it does make ones' floating life easier when the tide tables are figured out, ie.. go up stream during high tide, float down during low.. We had an enjoyable stay, did spend some time looking for a seafood store which we never found, but other than that, I give this property a double Thumbs Up!

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for taking such great care of our home. Glad you liked the location of our home. We love it also because it's close proximity to Roger's Park, UpperDeck Restaurant and the Marina. Having the kayaks for your use is great because you can take advantage of when the river is nice and quite and free of paying kayakers....It makes it seem like the river is all yours. Hope to see you back one day and welcome to our Weeki Wachee Family.

Very pleased with home!

  • 5 of 5

We called Maryann last minute as our reservation from another home was less than satisfying. She was extremely helpful and accommodating. She let us see her home within 15 minutes of the phone call. She was very sweet and the home was impeccable. The view was beautiful and the water access was fantastic. We would love to visit again.

Perfect vacation home!!

  • 5 of 5

To begin with Ms. Hurley was an absolute pleasure to deal with from the start. Their home was very nice and the pictures do not do it justice. It was nicely furnished and one of the cleanest homes I have ever rented. We truly felt at home during our entire stay. We particularly loved the rear deck overlooking the river and a beautiful stone patio. Everything worked flawlessly as promised and I have a feeling if there had been any issues they would have been there immediately as needed. There are a multitude of local restaurants to choose from. We will definitely be back!!!

Owner's Response: Thanks for all the compliments on our home and on how I keep it for my guests. It is always my pleasure to ensure that my guests are happy with the house and how I have it set up. I know that when I stay somewhere I would like the basics to be supplied and the home to look and be super clean. I love that I usually have the time to meet my guests and I look forward to your return so that we can meet...I missed you during your stay. Welcome to our Weeki Wachee Family and take care until next time.
