You will be greeted with stunning views and ocean breezes from this ocean front, first floor studio with private (not shared) secured wifi internet, cable smart tv and new furnishings. Dolphins, sea turtles, whales and outrigger canoes can be seen from the railing.

The white sands beach is nestled directly next to the condo with a park on the other side where hula girls enjoy practicing and fish-filled snorkeling reef right out front!

Avoid driving to the beach and be at ease, using the complimentary beach towels, snorkeling and boogie boards while only steps from the white sand. Or take the two bikes for a little ride down to the Kona Farmer's Market. (Update: the ocean has taken it's toll on the bikes, they may not be available after April, but there is bike rental downtown still). Relax at home under the fan and enjoy the sunsets from the queen sleeper sofa (new August '15) or while bbqing poolside.

Some of the features you will find in our condo include: cal king size bed, dresser, bedding, towels, queen size pull out sofa bed (new August 2015), 4 person dinning table, 50' wall mounted smart HD flat screen TV and cable (we re-did the cable line for better picture quality), 2 Bikes (possibly decommissioned after April), microwave, convection oven, toaster oven, blender, coffee maker and bean grinder, as well as dishes and silverware, ceiling fans, handheld shower wand, blow dryer, hair straightener, hair curler, iron and steamer, boogie boards, snorkels and masks, fishing gear, beach towels, sand toys, binoculars (to see the dolphins and whales that swim by right outside the sliding glass door) and floor fan.

This unit is great because there is no elevator at Magic Sands and after a long day, it's nice to avoid stairs. The sound of the ocean is wonderful and you can't beat passing extra drinks over the railing when you need to go back for more! We strive to make this condo as nice as we can for ourselves and you as our guest!

About Kona Magic Sands Condos:

Kona Magic Sands is a well maintained, small, 3 story condo complex with lawn and pool that sits directly between Kona Magic Sands Beach and the park. It is unique amongst some of the condos in Kona since it sits directly facing the ocean and some other condos put the guest rooms at an angle to squeeze more rooms in with a “view.” Some of the recent upgrades to the condo complex include: new paint, the pool re-plastered with turtle mosaic, new second bbq, landscape maintenance as well as frequent deep cleanings. There is a fantastic and helpful on site Manager, Lori, that takes care of many aspects of the condo and is kind to help with directions or other local questions. There is plenty of seating at the pool with lounge chairs and umbrellas as well as two complimentary BBQs. But one of our favorite parts of KMS is that there never seems to be a crowd! There is also trolley that stops right outside of the condo that will take you to the grocery plaza and also loops to downtown Kona a couple of miles away.

We bought this ocean front condo, after much searching, as a vacation spot for ourselves to enjoy over and over again. We live and work in California, but vacation here (no passport required)!

Convenience! The Beach is directly next door, park on the other side and ocean view with dolphins and turtles right out the glass doors. Care free attitude surrounds the place and it is located only 20 minutes from the airport. The first floor requires no climbing of stairs which is great for us. Located On Ali'i Drive near shopping, restaurants and activities. Near the pool with great views too.

What makes this condo unique

Almost everything provided, just bring a clothes, swim suit and a smile! Care free convenience allows for the aloha spirit.

Great location and really is best bang for your buck!

Stayed a week here with my boyfriend and had a great stay! Super easy dealing with the Todd's, communication via email was quick and efficient. Check in and out super easy.

Great ocean view from the condo, and literally a one minute walk to White Sands Beach which we loved.

Best part we loved was all the gear that we were able to use from the condo. We didn't bring any of our own snorkeling gear (too much space in the luggage) so we had access to all the masks and fins and boogie boards and pool noodles. This was definitely a plus over the other vbro condos we were looking at and don't regret it! Would definitely stay here again if we came back to Big Island!

The only downside I can think off is there is no AC. Not a big deal but it can get very warm inside!

Bang for the buck meets your basic need if you desire a oceanfront location

Property location has a small sandy beach directly left of the condo which is convenient. Condo's oceanfront location is nice for whale watching and sunsets. Pool and area is smaller size but is well maintained and always had space available to lay pool side. Condo facility is older but appears to be decently maintained, the on site manager is pleasant and very busy keeping the grounds exterior tidy. Condo is a few miles south of the restaurants and shopping area which is a easy drive, a bit to far to walk for most, and is nice if you prefer to avoid more people.

Condition of the condo is adequate. No ac but two ceiling fans with the double sliders open worked for ventilation. It is time the kitchen cabinets and countertops were updated, showing wear. The bed isn't to my backs liking but that's true for 50% of motel beds I sleep on. Snorkeling gear needs to be replaced and was not used due to sizing and broken fin strap and wear, saltwater will have its way with gear if not fresh water rinsed. Did not use the bikes, flat tire on one but norm for bike tire pressure to release over time and there is a tire pump. A broom and vacuum with instructions of how to use should be standard issue for house keeping but other than that condo was clean. That various lights and switches are interesting resulting in low/dim/flickering lighting other than the kitchen and bath which were okay. Ice chest was very useful.

Overall, would I stay here again? Yes if by myself and looking for affordable oceanfront, probably not if looking to impress my girl.

Ocean front and center!

We spent a nice month here and enjoyed getting to know the Kona side of the Big Island. The trolley comes right in front and we rode it many times to get groceries or into town. The bikes were great too, we even rode them to the church up the road and into tow a few times. Snorkeling right out front on calm days was amazing. We saw turtles, whales and dolphins many days too. The condo was just the right size for the two of us, a screen to the ocean would have been nice for a little more privacy because the condo looks right out on the pool deck area.

great place t stay right next to beach

had a great stay here. Ocean right out back door and beach next door. would stay here again for sure. Plus it had stuff like snorkel gear, chairs for beach, cooler and an assortment of tanning lotions. nice pool to cool off in and we feed the eels out back over the wall..

Excellent location!

The condo was functional and is as pictured. We slept two in the big bed and two kids on the pull out couch. The location of Kona Magic Sands is excellent. The beach next door was really fun for my boys. We went to many beaches in the island and kept coming back to 'our beach.' The sand was good for building and the surf was big enough for body surfing and boogie boarding. The pool and barbecue area were great for gatherings and I appreciated the mellow atmosphere. We will definitely return.

Perfect oceanfront setting

Location was ideal as it was right on the oceanfront, close to town, adjacent to a nice beach which also gives access to good snorkelling in front of the condo.

We enjoyed using the beach gear available for us.

Owner/manager very accommodating when responding to any issues.

Closet/dresser/storage space virtually non existent (for luggage, shoes, clothes etc|)

Grounds maintenance staff very efficient, helpful and friendly.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the review Roger - we're glad to have had you stay with us! I wanted to make sure that any guests concerned with storage/space know that they can see photos of the full sized closet with shelves, hanging cubbies, hangers, iron and ironing board as well as the storage space under the night stands. Also, the on-site manager can store large luggage in a locked closet for the duration of your stay if needed. The studio condo best fits two people.
