Adalbert was quick to reply to my questions, very communicative and helpful with making our stay enjoyable and comfortable at his Nassau townhouse! He offered us a ride to the grocery store to stock up our fridge and even picked us up when we were done shopping. The groceries were great to have snacks and make some meals (breakfast, lunch and BBQ dinner) after a long day on the beach. There was even a local restaurant at the end of the street that served delicious local dishes with the nicest, friendliest staff. The townhouse was clean, spacious and in a great location to get away from the crowds. It had all the amenities we needed; ceiling fans and air conditioning in each room to stay cool from the heat, full kitchen with outside Bar-B-Que, two bedrooms to fit our party of 4, 1.5 bathrooms and even a clothing washer and dryer. The townhouse was a short block, across the street, to relax on a quite beach that we had all to ourselves! When we want to venture further (downtown Nassau, Compass Point and Love Beach), it was a cheap $1.25-2.00/person ride on the local bus. Note, the local buses are privately owned so the prices may vary dependent on driver. Also note that the local buses only run till 6-7pm daily, times vary per driver.
If I were to visit Nassau again, I wouldn't hesitate to rent this townhouse, and I recommend this rental to everyone that wants a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.
Thanks, Adalbert, for making our first visit to New Providence, Nassau, Bahamas a wonderful and memorable experience!
Property listing was accurate and the condo very clean, updated and spacious. Very close to airport.
Amenities were also nice. Beach is close by.
More suitable for younger couples and families.
The owners went out of their way to make us feel comfortable! Extremely nice family.
Can get to most restaurants and shopping by taking a bus or driving. Some are within walking distance.
Nesbitt's restaurant/bar was terrific. Poop Deck also good place to eat.
Caprisio's and Compass Point nice restaurants too. Atlantis is about 15-20 minutes away by bus.
Relaxing and enjoyable overall!!
Our family of 6, 2 adults 4 (young) children, stayed here for a week in July to attend a wedding at Sandals. We arrived to a clean condo and a very pleasant and helpful owner; there were no surprises and the condo was just as we expected. The owner welcomed us and gave us information and tips for an enjoyable stay and even offered to take us for our first trip to the grocery store. There is a swimmable beach about a five minute walk away, however, I would not recommend it for younger children, as it had a steep drop off and good sized waves. During our stay we would take the bus daily to Cable Beach, public access right next to Sandals, which was cheap and efficient - appx 5 minute bus ride, with the bus stop being very accessible, as it is right at the end of the road. We also made a trip to Paradise island public access beach which required taking the bus downtown and catching a cab to take over the bridge for $20 each way. Personally, I would recommend Cable Beach over Paradise Island. We also made a day trip to Blue Lagoon Island and I would recommend that, as well. The neighborhood is quiet and I felt perfectly safe. A storm came through and knocked the power out for a brief second, as the generators immediately started up. The owners were fabulous and we didn't hear anything from their side (they live in the other half of the condo); as I stated we travelled with small children and I'm sure we were not the quietest at times, but they never complained. Our 2 year old broke the pot for the coffee maker and the owners were perfectly understanding and kind enough to only deduct the cost of a new one from our deposit and return the rest of our deposit in a timely manner. I would most definitely stay at this rental again and recommend to family and friends visiting Nassau!
I liked coming back to the Bahamas after a decade. The condo we stayed in was very well kept, the owner is very friendly and provided all the information we needed to safely get around town. The cost for a condo with 3-bedrooms beats any hotel I could have stayed at. Definitely recommended!
The property was very nice and the owners were very kind.
The property is near the beach and right on the ONLY bus line.
No care needed except if you want to go out after 7pm, bus stop at 7pm.
Very safe and well taken care of . Everyone very nice and kind.
Nice condo located west of Sandyport just down the block from Nesbitt's restaurant. (Note: some maps for this place show it much closer to Cable Beach which it isn't). Just a short walk to Jitney and two local restaurants close by. We liked Harvey's the best. Really liked the location on a block with some nice houses, some sketchy ones, and a construction business right across the block. Felt safe. Karen and Adelbert were very nice and responsive when issues occurred like brief water stoppage and a broken wine opener. The only downside was lots of noise at night. Either Karen and Adelbert have the rudest neighbors in the world who leave their dogs outside all night to bark and bark or some of the many wild dogs on the island have taken up residence near by. The barking and howling went on and on and on. And the trucks for the construction business can be pretty loud in the morning. So I would recommend this place to others with the caveat that they bring ear plugs and over the counter sleep aids and reading lights because there are no lamps in the unit - just ugly overhead lights. Our favorite activities included a picnic on Jaws beach, a couple of days hanging out at Love Beach at Nirvana (Nat is a great host!) and our day on Rose Island with Sandy Toes. Can you tell the Minnesotans were really loving the beach scene! Thanks Karen and Adelbert for your hospitality and the opportunity to spend a week in paradise.
