Jacksonville Condo Rental Photos and Description

4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and half bath, sleeps 8

This lovely 3100 square feet pre-war apartment designed by renowned architect Henry Klutho has been completely renovated and furnished for your Jacksonville get-a-way. The apartment is on the 1st floor of the historic Napier building built in 1924. The entire unit has been renovated from floor to ceiling but still preserving the ambiance of the original architecture. The living room is over 600sf with a separate dining room. There is a New Orleans style porch overlooking Riverside Avenue with glimpses of the St. Johns river. The kitchen is appointed with stainless steel appliances including gas stove and large refrigerator. Two guest rooms share a bathroom.

The Napier building is conveniently located within walking distance, 2 blocks, of Publix supermarket and the 5 points shopping area. Many restaurants are near, also.

Guestbook comments from the owner

I was just going through all my old travel stuff and came across some info for our trip we spent at your place last Dec. I really wanted you to know how great a time we all had at your place and how homey it felt to all of us. It was a perfect set-up for the family group that went that trip and the apartment had everything we needed. If we ever spend another holiday or any vacation in Jacksonville again you can be sure we will contact you for another stay.

Unique space

  • 5 of 5

This historic apartment was in a nice location within walking distance to Stabucks, and a grocery store. Lots of space and well maintained rooms. The owner helped coordinate the drop off and pick up of our children's rental items. Few and small toiletries, so bring your own but did have plenty of towels and dishes.

Wonderful historic home in an awesome neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

This large, beautiful home is inviting and well appointed. The host were very attentive to our every need and it is located in a great neighborhood within walking distance to restaurants, bars, a beautiful park on the river and shopping. We stayed a week and rented the upstairs and downstairs so our whole family could stay. There are large indoor and outdoor spaces for everyone to gather, making it perfect for family gatherings.

Beautiful house and great location

  • 4 of 5

My family rented this large apartment home for the weekend and we loved the location. It is walking distance to Starbucks, Publix and the park. It even has a partial view of the river. Close to 5 points and downtown. We had dinner at The Brick and loved it.

The beds were comfortable and there is lot of space. Washer and dryer in the unit which is really nice. Loved all the windows in the front room and the outdoor sitting area.

I was surprised that there were not many dishes or serving trays, bowls, etc. For such a large place I thought it was sparsely equipped in the kitchen - like no blender or crock pot.

One of the bedrooms had dirty sheets - we had to wash before using and a spider greeting us in the bed, but overall is a great house!

Owner's Response: We were using a new housekeeper who seem to do well and we inspected her work. The beds were made and we assumed that a made bed was a changed linen bed, Our fault and we apologize. We ask our guests to bring any problems to our attention so they can be corrected immediately.

Family Reunion for a Wedding

  • 5 of 5

We are enjoying this place and location immensely! The availability of upstairs apartment for more extended family made this an ideal location! Love being in the middle of all Riverside has to offer. Seeing the river from the window is an added treat! Love it!

WHAT A FIND!

  • 5 of 5

This spacious historic home was just as advertised and more. Upon entering the front door, we were "wowed" by the tall ceilings , banks of windows and hardwood floors all giving a sense of the history of the Riverside area. All rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The baths and kitchen have been remodeled to include modern conveniences. This well maintained property is within an easy walk to restaurants and a full grocery. Walk a little further to the Five Points area to find unique restaurants and shops. A visit to the pocket park across the street allows a beautiful view of the St. John River. Many thanks to our host, Bob, for a most enjoyable stay and for mailing my forgotten sweater found in the parking lot. We hope for the opportunity to return.

My only tip would be to bring along a hairdryer since one was not found onsite.

Napier Apartment

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful, spacious apartment in a beautiful building that preserves the charm of 1920’s architecture with 21st century convenience. Tons of natural light from large windows flood the rooms. There are seven windows in the master bedroom and seven in the living room, in addition to French doors! Hardwood floors, comfortable beds, and a well-equipped kitchen are a few of the many nice features. Just outside are gorgeous live oak trees, draped in Spanish moss; and across the street is a lovely small park that our dog enjoyed as much as we did.
