Modern Construction in a secluded location to make us feel like we are on a Caribbean Island!
I had anticipated needing extra space for my family, but I stayed alone for the trip. There was plenty of space for 3 adults and two children. The condo was safe and conveniently located to the exit at Little Harbor. There is quite a bit of shopping for any needs, and there's a brewery less than 3 miles away :)
Although I didn't care for the two flights of stairs to go from the car to the bedroom (and I'm forgetful, so I was up and down them a lot!), the setup of the rental was otherwise fantastic. I loved that every room has its own balcony on each floor. There is a canal in the back with lots of fish and dragonflies, and I found it to be peaceful. The washer/dryer was very useful. Although I did not use the resort's amenities, the small restaurant within walking distance was cute and the people there were very friendly. Having a full kitchen saved me money, and I didn't need to eat junk food every night.
I did have some trouble with the speed of the wifi. For the first portion of my stay, I had trouble reaching the internet and loading pages after successfully connecting to the wifi. This improved after a few days on the trip. I wonder if they reset the modem at some point. I had a few times where I could not connect to work, and I had to use my personal hotspot instead.
If i ever needed to travel to that area again with extended family, I would likely try to book this unit again, and I would recommend it to other travelers.
This is a comfortable townhouse in the nicest community in Ruskin. It was exactly as advertised. It was well stocked with dishes and linens and a refrigerator with working ice maker. It is the farthest building from the public areas (pool, beach, and restaurants) but still an easy walk. Being farther away makes for more quiet and privacy than the main resort buildings. It could use a few updates and the vertical blinds all seemed to be missing a few slats but I would definitely recommend it for someone looking for a nice place off the beaten path.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback on the waterfront townhouse in Little Harbor.
LIttle Harbor is a great place to vacation. I have stayed at Little Harbor in the past and was really looking forward to this month long visit. The area is well maintained, beautiful pools, good restaurant and a fun outside bar. My disappointment was with the townhouse I rented. This unit is not well maintained. The carpet is dirty, the tile floors have ground in dirt , the furniure is old and needs a thorough cleaning. Sliding screen doors do not work and there are holes in the screens. The shower in the master bedroom has mold growing in it! The unit appears to have an infestation of "no see ums". My sister and I woke each morning with fresh bug bites. We did not leave the sliding glass doors open because of the poor condition of the screens. We had to buy cleaning supplies to clean the unit ourselves so we could have guests visit.
I will return to Little Harbor, but I will not rent this unit and I will not recommend it to my family or friends.
It was just like we had moved our home from winter to summer, Thunder Bay to Little Harbour, Ruskin. It was very comfy, had everything & more for our holiday. Great location, beautiful resort that has everything, ocean, beach, marina, wildlife. And easy to find shopping, baseball, fruit/veggie stands, orange groves, walking trails, so much to see & do.
Townhouse had every luxury, bathroom on main floor and ensuite for each bedroom upstairs. Four balconies, great views. Free long distance to home was a bonus & washer/dryer on main floor.
Couldn't ask for more. Only very minor issues, tv on main floor needs to be replaced, some channels screech. Had to replace light bulbs in living room fan/light ($5). Beach is farther away than I realized (15 minute walk) but really easy to drive down with all our stuff.
Called the owner Brent once and he responded in minutes.
We had company for Easter dinner & everyone was very impressed (& jealous)
Our deposit refund was issued within 48 hours.
All in all I would give this townhouse 98%, we truly felt like we were home for our 18 days, and we would highly recommend this townhouse.
We stayed at this comfortable property for a week in March and loved our time there. Everything was as advertised. We found the condo was perfectly situated to explore Tampa (Aquarium, Amalie Arena, Busch Gdns), St. Petes (Fort De Soto, beach), and head south to Sarasota and Siesta Key. The kitchen had all the tools to cook if you wanted to (I would suggest adding an electric kettle for those tea drinking guests!). The master bedroom had lots of room, with a very comfy bed. It was just the two of us, but the condo had plenty of living space for a whole family - with three bathrooms and three balconies. Lots of nice white towels and good linens. We hope to return. We loved walking down to the harbour and beach for sunset. Also, the nearby Fish House had fabulous fish and chips. Thanks for a great stay!
