We recently returned from our stay in Norman's fantastic apartment. Everything we wanted in an apartment and neighborhood were here: Quiet, residential, a block from the metro, farmer's market, restaurants, bakeries etc. When we returned at night, it felt like we were going home for the evening. The apartment is perfect. I wanted specific things like a king size bed, a terrace, small building, quiet neighborhood. What I found was the most comfortable bed ever, an airy, quiet, clean apartment with appliances and a kitchen in perfect working order, in an elegant spotless building. Norman was a dream to work with. Directions and use of the apartment were crystal clear; all questions/concerns were answered promptly. My husband and I still can't believe how lucky we were to have found this apartment. We will definitely return to this apartment on our next trip to France.
This is a light and airy apartment - very well appointed and fabulously furnished - in a quiet, residential neighbourhood that is nevertheless very well connected (easy access to various Metro stations; excellent neighbourhood bakeries and bistros nearby; just a short walk to the Champs de Mars and les Invalides). On top of this the owner (Normand) is a pleasure to work with. This wasn't our first stay and all being well it won't be our last!
We stayed in Norman's apartment for a week this spring. HIs apartment is very comfortable and bright. We were lucky that the weather was perfect during our stay. It was so nice to be able to open the very large sliding doors and let the sun and breezes in. The building the apartment is in is safe, requiring a code to enter and there is a very large elevator to assist you in getting your suitcases up. Having a washer AND a dryer (not a combo machine) was great to have as we had been traveling for a few weeks when we arrived here. The neighborhood is quiet and the apartment is very near the Segur metro stop which was a big help in getting around the city. The convenience store on the ground level was great to have. We were in there just about every day for one thing or another. Very handy! Within a few blocks are great restaurants and bakeries. Communication with Norman was awesome! I never waited more than a few hours for a response from him and that was more than likely due to the 6 hour time difference. If you need assistance getting a driver to pick you up at the airport ask Norman for his recommendation. He has a great guy that he recommends. Struggling to find something to object to, the only thing I can come up with is the duvet on the bed. It was way too warm for me and there weren't any alternative linens provided. Fortunately, we traveled with a light throw blanket so I made do with that. We wouldn't hesitate to return to this apartment in Paris if we are ever lucky enough to return.
My husband and I feel so fortunate to have stayed in this spacious, lovely apartment and enjoyed the fact that it was in a quiet, residential neighborhood. The location was perfect. We started every morning with a cafe au lait and croissiant from the corner boulangerie and then either walked to our planned sites for the day or hopped on the metro which was 1/2 block away. On the nights when we enjoyed a long lunch, we were able to pick up dinner, wine and fresh produce at the upscale market that is on the first floor of the building which is opened until midnight. After long days of sightseeing and attending evening performances, the market was a welcomed convenience. Most of all, our host was a wonderful resource, extremely responsive, and helped us with many aspects of our stay. We will definitely rent here again!
My husband and I arrived in Paris Christmas Eve and stayed 8 nights. Even in December this apartment is bright and sunny and very welcoming. We loved it. The kitchen is well appointed as is the rest of the apartment. The kingsize bed is very comfortable; the Christian Dior linen wonderful to sleep on. We found the building and the area to be quiet over the Christmas vacation period. I expect it isn't too much different at other times as it is a residential area.
There's easy access to the metro but the location is so welcoming for exploring and walking that the metro wasn't our first choice unless we had some distance to cover.
The photos are an accurate represenation of the apartment - it is very nicely decorated.
The owner was very helpful - right from the first point of contact. Our vacation was enhanced because of the generousity of his time in helping us prior to our arrival and also the wine and bottle of champagne he left for us. We had been in Paris several times before but this was our first stay in an apartment. We took the owner's suggsetions for shopping and walking and thoroughy enjoyed the neighbourhood. At the end of the day we loved returning "home" to the apartment. We highly recommend this property and look forward to a return sometime in the future.
We just returned from a week in Paris at this apartment. The apartment is located in a residential area, about 10 minutes from the Champs du Mars and the Eiffel Tower, and about a 20 minute walk from the Rue Cler area. The metro is nearby, and there are lots of shops and excellent restaurants in the area. The apartment is very comfortable, especially the king-sized bed, and the kitchen is well-equipped. We liked that the rooms were very bright and airy. The building is modern and we felt we were staying in a very elegant area. Normand was very quick to respond to any concerns I might have, and he left suggestions for us as to neighborhood things we could do. This was a very comfortable place to come home to after walking the streets of Paris.
3 metro lines, 6,8, 10 available nearby. Fine grocery store on the ground level
