Apartment clean, beautifully decorated, had everything I needed to make my stay comfortable. Hopefully I will be back.
My husband and I just returned from a 4 night stay at this wonderful apartment. We had a fantastic time and walked everywhere from Old Town, up to Five Corners and enjoyed the strolls throughout the neighborhood and shops in town. The apartment had absolutely everything that you could want and the kitchen was especially well stocked with all the essentials, including organic olive oil and wonderful spices! The colors in the main rooms were bright, cheerful and "happy" and the large windows offered a nice, cooling breeze. I would highly recommend. The only amenity that I would add would be a little seating area by the apartment door to offer a cozy private outdoor space for guests. Stay here and you will not be disappointed!
We family of 4 with 2 elementary school girls stayed here for 1 full month. When we moved in, we were impressed with how clean and arranged house was. Even the typical spots in kitchen near stove and floor corners were all clean! The house owner is extremely kind and obviously takes care of this house with extreme care. The location is brilliant with walking distance to beautiful places like Fort Sewall & Crocker Park and local (beloved) restaurants like Jacktar and Landing. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
We stayed here in mid-August 2014 & thoroughly enjoyed our time in Marblehead! There is a side door to the left side of the house with staircase directly to the 3rd floor apt - while you might be out of breathe at the top - it's worth the hike! The apartment is spacious and was a perfect choice for us along with our 9 yr old & my 71 yr mom. The 9 yr old used the day bed in the corner of the living room and for a small additional fee, we used the 2nd bedroom (1 queen bed) for my mom. Everything was clean, the kitchen was well stocked and we had breakfast there each morning - plus dinners a few nights. The apartment, towels and bedding are all in pristine condition - just keep in mind that this is a very old house and you will feel some un-eveness in the floors.
The property is in a central location within Marblehead's old town. Although we did several day trips into Boston (drive ~30 min to closest subway stop & take the T), just staying in the village is a lovely relaxing time. The home owner provided maps with location of beaches, eating places, etc as well as many details on where to find things. Local people in Marblehead were wonderul and welcoming! We met local families several times at the beaches and at the Little Harbor Boathouse (for SUP board & Kayaking). While the water is cold - the welcome is warm! The mansion tours, shopping and walking around the local areas are fabulous! Enjoy your time here - we surely did!
The apartment is spacious, well situated and well equipped. It was a short walk to restaurants, shops and parks - it was such a pleasure to park our car when we arrived and not use it until we checked out. Marblehead is a wonderfully scenic and charming destination within an easy drive to Boston. Thanks to Matt for a quiet and comfortable stay.
Great apartment, well equipped with full kitchen and washer and dryer, easy to do business with the owner. the apartment is very close to the old town of Marblehead centre, walking distance to shops, grocery store, fort Sewall, beaches...etc.
We had a very pleasant stay and will recommend and go back for sure!
Thank you Matthew.
